Long and short of it is, office is crowded and more people are being hired. Including on my team. So last week I come out of a meeting and HR is lurking in my area. I'm like can I help you find something. They like I'm just trying to figure out where to put all this stuff. Now I've set up a little space for my team to be creative right next to our bar. It's in spaces that are next to a pole making them not good for anyone to really sit there. It had previously been agreed the new hires would go on the other side so I'm a bit surprised. I basically changing this space is destroying th culture we've built in the area. My whole team stands up to support me.
Well the next day I was told not to bully HR.
I ended up winning but, now I gotta go make good with HR.

Pole by a bar? What kind of bar we talking about? Wet? Coffee? Juice
**************** TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*
They were trying to clear a desk for a new employee. Said desk is in my team's creative workspace which includes a wet bar. The spot was chosen because a pole makes it really hard to use as a work desk. All of these things are acceptable, (I got pics of the owner of the company drinking at the bar). Main issue was no one told me before so I was surprised when they said they were clearing the area.
