I grate up some citrus (a lime, a lemon amd an orang/tangerine) peels, add a little water and a lot of powdered sugar. hit the mixture with an egg beater for about half a minute, and after your cake cools..poke holes in it with a toothpick and pour the sauce on it.

My wife don't eem like 'thick cakes like that' but she said it go hard.

been on a soup kick since we are finally getting a real winter in Cali. I wanted gumbo and found a good recipe and that shit was easier than I thought. But fucking tasty. I'm moving so literally just threw together whatever perishable and non-perishable stuff I had lying around before it goes bad. Red lentils, ground lamb, onions, carrots, kale, coconut milk, chicken broth, lots of spices -- cumin, ground thyme, coriander, celery salt, smoked paprika, pepper, garlic powder...

... I was way, way, way too heavy-handed with the coriander, but it was delicious. Gonna have some more for lunch today.
