she kept stressing that it's a mid level position, almost implying that I may be too qualified or bounce on them...

Ironically I just thanked Big Kuntry for links to the Kendrick show. But I'm sure there's someone that was standing right behind him that had to bend their neck and found themselves staring into his screen a few times.
And at some point we're not watching the shows we're at anymore, just trying to be the first to record and upload for clicks/likes.
I'm in Houston this week and stopped by a friend's event on a whim last night, a monthly scratch session and competition. As soon as it started there were at least 5 people that moved right up to the front holding their cameras up. I left. There's already a tripod set up for a good shot of the mixing, everything else is just tacky add-ons at that point.
And it's not like this is something new, it's just gotten old after a point.

I let my dislike of a coworker get in the way of helping him out and doing my job yesterday. Long story short, i have an ongoing personal beef with this coworker for something that happened outside of work, and dude is just a complete jerk, no way around it. But i didn't put that aside and do my job to the best of my ability. Im better than that and I plan to do better with that moving forward.
Had major electrical issues with my house last weekend. Last Saturday, when i woke up i noticed the house was colder than normal. The furnace hadn't come on at the adjustable temperature i had set. On top of that half the electrical outlets in my house was out. So that meant fridge off too. Emergency issue. Didn't have the money to call in a professional electrician so i took a shot in the dark and call a coworker of mine that knows electrical. I had just met this guy only a month ago but that guy came over and fixed my problem just for the cost of the parts that was less than 40 dollars. He saved me big time. Im going to throw him some dollars next week on gp for helping me out like that.
Ive only had time to text with my cougar lady friend lately because i just haven't had time to spend with her. She's not mad though. She's real cool like that. Thats why im glad i didnt pursue something with any of her friends.
Speaking of getting colder, the cuddle jawn search is on for the winter.

Just signed the lease to our 4 bedroom 3.5 bath brand spankin new townhouse in Livermore, CA. 1 year leasing, then we buy!!!!
I've fallen in love with East Bay California. Walking down the streets of Livermore, I just felt so at home. Then we rolled over to Dublin to the shopping area and it was just beautiful. Had some Thai food that was really good. Went to Starbucks and chilled.
Starting next month, we will be new members of CrossFit CSA. Now, all I have to do is finish packing up the crib by the end of the week so I can paint, clean and get our house on the market by the end of the month. I don't expect it to sell until January, but a girl can hope and PRAY!!!!
I also need to find a job and a good school for the munchkin to attend. I don't believe either one will be that hard, but you never know.
Tonight, I am going to sit back an watch FE+'s tour documentary, and chill.

- I submitted my Thanksgiving time off request 9/11, I should know if it's approved by this Friday. Like I haven't been trying to purchase plane tickets and look into hotels. my job needs to do better with that.

got hit with a stupid termite bill so i decided to sell a limited amount of prints for $100. a curator from a museum that will not name hit me up to say she wants to buy one for the museum's collection.
this is both shady and unethical. how you gonna try to put my shit in a fucking collection and only offer me $100?! while it would be nice to be included, i am not that desperate. i passed.

no the big stuff i usually make my work ranges from 1000 - 15K but that's because i make big stuff and my work is in a reputable collection and bc of my resume
as a cultural institution that is set on collecting and recognizing artists it is unethical to underpay artists. esp when this work is not meant for institutional purposes. they are trying to cheaply underpay me just to say that have something of mine in their collection. not to mention this is a BIG institution. i've also hear some other shady dealing they've done with other artists. the prints i'm selling are meant for personal collections for people who otherwise wouldn't be able to buy one of my works.

Found out that someone that put me through the meat grinder as I was leaving Houston is getting a divorce.
I thought a part of me would be happy, that maybe a small part would say "I have a chance", that a part of me would feel "in your face-ish" ... something, anything. I thought I would feel something.
But I didn't, I feel more when someone tells me that it's going to rain, because at least that's going to affect my day.
This didn't and it won't. And that's something ... just not sure what.
