"THE 5IVE™"
Fri Jul-31-15 10:40 AM by Fishgrease

The Meek shall inherit the earth
--------------------------------

They better..because Meek sure ain't winnin' this rap battle thingamajiggy.
I'm done with rap. I need entertainment.
There's better battles in R&B.

This five things friday will likely be like Meeks reply; rather empty and unfulfilling.

Fishgrease
----------

Someone offered me $50 for the fishgrease twitter name via a DM.
I'm a commodity now. My name is in demand.

Move on
-------

I was supposed to move next week (Aug 7th), they've pushed the date to the 14th. A whole 'nother f*ckin' week of living out of boxes and traveling extra miles to get mini-me to school everyday.
It's a slight inconvenience in every sense--nothing major but still a thorn in my side.

Blog
----

I need to write more. I just don't have the time/space to do so. I've got all the tools (laptop/Ipad/chromebook etc), I simply can't find a clear space in my head or apartment to actually handle the task.

One day, I am going to make life come together in such a way that it allows for me to scribe until my heart is content.

soon and very soon.

Bad Neighbors
------------

We have a dog. Our neighbors have two dogs.
They allow their dogs to sh*t near the apartment building and don't pick up the excrement. We walk our dog far far away often in some near by woods where no one but us even go to---If our dog sh*ts in a common area (which she rarely does) I pick it up. If she sh*ts in the woods---I let nature take it's course and deal with it.

But these neighbors and their dog sh*t is unbearable. It's right in front of the building and the sun shines on it all day, it's the first thing you smell when you get out the car to go into your apartment and the first thing you smell when you leave your apartment. So me being the asshole that I am (both on and off line)--I decided sprinkle dry dog food on and around the area where the neighbors dogs relieve themselves.

Let me tell you....I've never chuckled so hard (while peering out the window) at watching people attempt to keep their dogs from mixing in bites of dog sh*t and kibbles and bits.

with that said and a couple of days later---the former waif of terrier turds no longer overwhelms you when you approach the building or get out of the car.

GIMME FIVE

date went well enough but i will not be seeing dude again. nothing personal chemistry just isn't/wasn't at a level that i need it to be and i don't want to waste time trying to force anything for some diznayee. i rather be parched, quite frankly.

two.
bought my son a lunchable just now and he's eating it for breakfast. i took the cookies out and suddenly he didn't want the lunchables. until i told him he can't get the cookies until he eats the rest. he's almost done eating lol he WANTS them cookies breh

three.
pay day is today but i won't be getting my physical check until monday. i can barely contain myself. i'm going straight to get a car stereo as soon as i wake up from my post work nap on monday.

four.
somebody's tiny lil white dog was loose on my block on my way back to the crib just now. running across the street mad aimlessly (had i been driving faster i might have killed it). i stop for a second and look around and see no one who might be the owner. i was gonna pick it up but then i remembered the last time i was bit by a dog it was by one of these lil shits for dogs and i just kept it moving. hopefully it doesn't get hit by a car. i didn't feel like being the good samaritan today lol

My son is 9 and I still find myself bribing him to eat sh*t. Hell when it comes to lunchables though, I often feel like the snack is probably the most nutritious part of the package---yet, i still be buying them sh*ts for my son. LOL

REALLY? oh wow. i normally love his voice but can't really stand his songs that much but this album is pretty well put together. i think hanging around tank and ginuwine helped him tremendously.

5. I went on a date with new guy. I had a great time. We have really great conversation and enjoy hanging out. It's an awesome change compared to some of these dudes on the dating market. Which leads me to...

4. IDK WTF is going on but, no nigga I shall not be your support out the fucking gate! What part of the game is that? You meet a dude and they instantly going through some shit to need your support. I'm like damn, I barely know you and you want me to what? Maybe I'm cold but, nah...too soon.

3. I think my ex has me chipped. Like as soon as I have fun with another dude, I'll get a call or he'll wanna hang out. Last week he showed up the day after my date with my fave treats and took me out to dinner. I let him too cause #LTNFY

2. I really haven't been on vacation this summer. I've taken a few days off here and there but, nope...nothing substantial. Come on October!

1. I was asked about adding additional tasks onto my work load. I said sure if I get a 5-6% raise. They holla that may not be feasible at this time. I countered with several ideas. I feel like if you're going to hire a new person, you can give me that money. We'll see.

Good luck. Muhphuckas would rather under pay you and over work you thus forcing you to quit than just pony up, pad your pockets ever so slightly and keep everything at a happy medium for everyone involved.

In this case they can go ahead and hire this new part time person who's position is not 100% sustainable. Then they'll be like so that raise, you still interested?

Kendrick Lamarr - TPAB gets heavy rotation in Spud (my Cube):
So my hubby is scheduling flights into Oakland for his interview in NorCal. Depending on which day he's chosen for, I may be going with, just so that I can check out the area and find housing options and whatnot. Ironically, as he's telling me this, I am getting job callbacks (at home gigs and otherwise) in my inbox. Its all coming true! (c) Katt Williams.

The Foreign Exchange - CANT WAIT UNTIL THE NEW ALBUM DROPS! Tiggalo, can I get a snippet?!!!!!:
I am going to start my blog up again on August 1st via blogger. But, while I'm doing that, I am also going to build my own website. I've been letting the creative side of me lie dormant, and I refuse to do that anymore. I think its because of my focus on making money. But, I am tired of doing that. I realized something this week. Fitness is something I love doing. But, its not necessarily something I want a career in. Art is something I love doing, writing/blogging is something I love doing. And, I would rather have a career in that, than fitness. And, its cost effective doing so.

A Tribe Called Quest - I play their albums like they came out yesterday. But maybe that's just me:
My munchkin starts school the first week of September. And, since I mentioned to her that she's going to school, she has been bugging me about starting school! I'm excited for her. But, I am also worried because if my hubby gets the NorCal job, I can only keep her there for a semester (probably less than that). Then she'll have to switch when we move. The program that I found here is STEAM based and I'm hoping I can find something comparable in NorCal for 3 years old.

The Roots - Also a regular staple. :
I know this is a little evil. But, I can't wait until we drop this bomb on my mother-in-law. It means she has to move back to Louisiana. And, while she may not like it. TOUGH TIDDY!!!! I am so excited. I'm also looking to downsize and sell/rent out our home here in NC.

Janet Jackson - I've seen Janet twice in concert. And, I would love to see her a 3rd time. She is one of the acts that I would spend real money on to get front row seats.:
Okay, here's my rant. My mother-in-law loves playing with her granddaughter. But, she can't see well enough to keep my daughter out of trouble. So, I am of the mindset to not let it happen since I can't sit and watch them. For instance, one incident had me ready to kick this woman out of my house. My mother-in-law takes a LOT of pills due to her ailments. And she had an old pillbox in her room. I knew the pillbox was there. What I didn't know is there were actually a couple of pills left in the box. Any well thinking person would have said something. Not my mother-in-law. And she let my daughter play with it and shake it around. I asked her afterwards, what if Z had opened it, and took the pill. You have said you can't see. And, I had no knowledge of what was going on until I saw it. This is just one of the reason why I can't have my daughter around her. She has no regards for her safety. And, she only opens her mouth when Z has done something that effects her. Z ripped the contents page out of one of her books. Then of course, she would open her mouth to tell. I'm so tired of having this woman in my house. I know she's my mother-in-law, but its like having another child. And, then she has the nerve to say I should have another one! F*ck you lady!!!!!! ARGH!!! Okay, rant over. With all that said, I love my mother-in-law...I just don't like her and I can't live with her.

Bonus: Janelle Monae - I just love her energy : This job is a high profile job that could lead to some real money and real ish (like him running thangs, international travel or his own company in a couple years)...but we don't know if they know, that he's black. And in the tech world, Black men who break through the glass ceiling are like unicorns. So...I hope they have done their due dilligence and googled. But, I know some companies, especially big ones like this one, only let us get so far. So I am really hoping we aren't getting our hopes up for nothing. I mean my hubby knows his ish. But, some places can't get past the color of his skin. And, its sad because they are missing out on an awesome architect/engineer/all around person.

Already discussed. No, she isn't. She can't afford to live out there. And, we are not carrying her butt. So...its a big NO!!!!!

1. have a couple weird fingerprints on my right hand; one looks like yin & yang. technician said i won't make a good criminal. drats!

2. top four (as of today): dostoevsky, baldwin, mahfouz, bambara

3. "every time i see you you look so calm. you always look sooo calm."

^^ don't know where that came from, but yes, i'm pretty laidback usually.

4. sometimes i come home and i see my neighbor's pitbull on the balcony, chest puffed out like he's been lifting weights all day.
the second i put one foot on the steps, here he comes, tiptoeing down from the second floor for a hug.

it KILLS me...e-v-e-r-y time.
