A lot of these lists are just based on old cliches about the player rather than how they’re actually playing. Once that narrative gets locked in, it takes a ridiculous amount of swinging the needle to actually move the needle on a national scale. You see it both ways for guys like Jaylen and Tatum on one end who get the benefit of all the doubt vs Lavine and BI who get none.
