I don't trust athletes when it comes to injuries...They will scratch and claw to get back on the field or court...That's just the way it is...
>But let's stop acting like him not playing until next season >is gonna somehow protect him from injury.
Well, it would give him more time to do rehab...And get that knee stronger..I'm just using common sense here...
>He's damn near taken 2yrs off from high contact basketball >(lockout, missing half of last season and now almost 10 months >of rehab). No amount of prep and training will prepare you >for game action/speed.
I would be with you if we were battling it out for a top 3 spot...But we are not...I'm not going to lean heavy on the kid just to get a 4th or 5th seed...
>Basketball is a shock to the system and the longer you stay >away from it, the harder it is to get a rhythm back and in >Derrick's case, the more likely he'll get some other nagging >injury. Notice how dude didn't get hurt until he had to sit >for an extended period (the lockout).
He got hurt because there was too much pressure on him to be God on that team...but that's another subject...
>If the doctors say the knee is fully recovered and D-Rose >feels right, let him cook. If not, wait until it is and he >does.
So far, doctors are saying he's not ready...So I would keep that cautious approach...
I'm patient, homie...The kid hasn't even hit his prime yet...Sure, let him cook...Rehabbing that knee, that is...
Magic had it right...If you not winning a chip or at the very least scaring Miami, don't rush the kid back...
GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....
