When it's all said and done, Derrick knows his body better than anyone. So it's whenever he feels it's right.
But let's stop acting like him not playing until next season is gonna somehow protect him from injury.
He's damn near taken 2yrs off from high contact basketball (lockout, missing half of last season and now almost 10 months of rehab). No amount of prep and training will prepare you for game action/speed.
Basketball is a shock to the system and the longer you stay away from it, the harder it is to get a rhythm back and in Derrick's case, the more likely he'll get some other nagging injury. Notice how dude didn't get hurt until he had to sit for an extended period (the lockout).
If the doctors say the knee is fully recovered and D-Rose feels right, let him cook. If not, wait until it is and he does.
