"Poll question: Who's the GOAT female director of all time?"

This is kind of a spin-off from my GOAT female MC post in The Lesson. It actually took me about 30 minutes to find other female directors besides Coppola and Bigelow, which is a pretty sad statement about Hollywood. I think I picked a decent six but you fuckers will still probabaly complain. We know women might not want to be rappers because of all the misogyny in Hip-Hop but why is there such a shortage of women in the field of film making? Women aren't less visionary or imaginitive than men. Is there a feminine quality that they bring to films that most people don't care for?

Poll result (17 votes)
Katheryn Bigelow (Hurt Locker) (5 votes)Vote
Patty Jenkins (Monster) (1 votes)Vote
Kimberly Pierce (Boys Don't Cry) (3 votes)Vote
Amy Heckerling (Fast Times at Ridgemont High) (1 votes)Vote
Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation) (5 votes)Vote
Jane Campion (The Piano) (2 votes)Vote
