Also came in here to say i forgot Operation Doomsday, which to me definitely stands the test of time. Out of my 10, here are the ones i still go back to regularly:
- things fall apart -- undebatable classic (to me) - black on both sides -- same - 2001 - game changer. still sounds fresh, second half of the album be damned - operation doomsday - timeless to me
So only 4 out of 10. you definitely have a point.
>I'm not saying there weren't some good releases...but I when I >say *quality* I mean albums that stand the test of time and >really compare to the other great albums of the 90s. > >Are we really listing Uncontrolled Substance along with Cuban >Linx, Ironman, and Liquid? Sure, I like some joints from >Uncontrolled but it ultimately is a let down as the Wu-solo >representative from that year, no? > >I can see people listing Murda Muzik but I played that the >other day and it's just an album with some dope tracks on it >but it's not a complete banger like their previous two.
