the bassline is +1 too loud in the mix. i re-recorded this track to mp3 w/ the filtered bassline turned down one notch. but im keeping the new mix for the stash.
anyway, here goes the intro part of the TorchBaras Flip reFLipped with rhymes on it:
i'm not trying to grab my dick too much, but this is a dope one.
&....i don't know why... but i have Bose Companion II speakers at home. the thought was, Bose speakers are known to be the shit.. and these aren't too big inside my little ass apartment ---so the thought was, they won't make too much excessive ass noise for my neighbors. (i can't be rocking fucking 10" monitors in my apartment when i'm making beats &recording....) but every mfkn time i record shit damn near, the levels don't sound right in the mix when i burn to disk and listen in the car. shit sounds like the vocals are too loud in the mix at home... get in the car... and the vocs aint right, or the bass is too loud, or something is always fucking my shit up. been frustrating as fuck for like 3 years. when i listen to shit in my car, the bass is always on 0(zero), and the treble is on 3. on this one, the filtered bassline was so dominant, i put the bass on -1, and kept the treble at the 3, and the rhymes were more clear.
