I just got back from seeing Waking Life. It was nice because not only did we see the movie, but Richard Linklater was there to accept the John Cassevettes award from the festival. I enjoyed the movie very much. The animation was incredible and it is a very creative way to make a movie. I am not huge into philosophy so a lot of the stuff went over my head, and a lot of it I simply did not care about. None the less, I enjoyed the film. I like the way Linklater makes his movies; going back and forth from character to character with, seemingly, no order, when in fact there is method. I also like the idea of waking up in a dream inside a dream inside a dream. Very cool stuff. A movie to see on acid.
