Ten hours before Game 1 of the WCF and I’m slightly nauseated. First WCF since 2016. I literally remember that week like it was yesterday. I had a summer flu, missed a week of work, Wifey quarantined me to my man cave in the basement. Up 3-1…lose Game 5 and I’m like…ok, coming back to The Peake for the close out…Klay had other plans. Probably the most hurtful sports moment of my life, after Montana to Dwight Clark in the corner of the end zone. OKC is HEAVILY favored…surprisingly so, IMO. I see people saying Minnesota needs tonight’s game more, but fuck that..WE DO. Do not want to lose home court, off the rip. Defense, turnovers, run outs…that’s the key. Not even Lou Dort is gonna be able to hold Ant down in half court sets, but our team defense can make getting him the ball difficult and we fucking swarm passing lanes. I can’t believe we are 4 games from the Finals and I’m trying not to even think about it.

I just don't see anyone beating OKC. I did buy into the Minny hype for a minute, but it's just crazy how they're the best team in the league far and away.

I think them winning a 7 game series against a championship core shows they've grown. They're absolutely still young, but they've got it all going for them right now.

OKC over Minny in 5, and then probably over the Knicks.

...when you take this into account. Hart was able to recover and get to that late inbounds, and then the one where Brunson got trapped in the corner and tried to throw it off Nesmith and it ended up being an ugly bounce pass to a Knicks player by sheer luck?

i don't know that Thibs is a good coach cuz they kept letting Brunson bring the ball up and then he'd get double teamed at halfcourt immediately and either have to force tough passes or get rushed just to get away from the double team, and it was destroying the Knicks offense the last 3 minutes which is a big part of why they lost.

like, just let Bridges or Hart bring it up and then get into your offensive set it's not that hard.

gotta give Indy props.. they didn’t pack it in like most teams do when down big late.
