"The NBA Finals: Boston Celtics vs. Dallas Mavericks"

No post? (feels like it's been WEEKS since a damn game happened)

I truly don't know who's going to pull this one off. My head says Celtics, my heart says Mavs. Either way it's fuck the Celtics so...I'm begrudgingly rooting for Dallas.

Always fun to see how these narratives swing.

This team is incredibly well-balanced and dominated their conference. Why make drastic changes just to say you did something? If Tatum and Brown were in their 30’s and this felt like their last run, sure, blow up the team and start again, but it only feels like they’ve been here forever because the team has gone deep in the playoffs for most of their tenure.

I've been thinking it was Boston's year for the past 3 seasons. A friend said that if they don't get it this year, their window is closed.

But I'm with you. Brown & Tatum are young. Holiday has a few good years left. I wouldn't be surprised if Horford retired but he was still a solid contributor.

This squad may be around for a long time.

Let’s say they lose this series… who is in a better position to win the East next season than them? Even if the Bucks, Sixers, etc. are all healthy and make some roster adjustments, the Celtics are still the favorites. Why make a bunch of changes? They had the best record in the league by 7 games. Obviously, they should win this series, and if they don’t they deserve criticism, but there’s no glaring issue with the roster. 64 win teams don’t grow on trees.

Roster-wise, there’s nothing preventing us from getting over the hump, so the only change that would even have to be considered is the coach.

The only real options are (1) change coaches, or (2) run it back. *Maybe* during the season you can deal the White/Horford expirings for a piece? But that's a huge stretch imo. Especially given that 4 different players are making ostensibly 30+ mil next season.

Brown's contract is massive, and they don't want to lose Tatum for any reason. Jrue's deal is signed through age 36, so that feels like a tough deal to trade in the immediate short term. Maybe you deal Zingis... but the injury risk is real, plus there's the baked-in "if Zingis doesn't get hurt/isn't rusty in the Finals" excuse baked into whatever happens. And the bench is already thin, so do you really want to do a 2-for-1 type trade?

I think the only viable option is a coaching change, but even then, I kinda think they just run it back.

More Christmas movies coming in 2025...

If they get absolutely embarrassed in 4 or 5 games, they’ll consider a coaching change. But if they lose a competitive series I don’t see them seriously considering any changes.

or maybe you get an even better reserve player, THIS Celtics team is the best assembled in the 2 Jays era.

There’s too many examples where the team instantly regrets trading all their depth to make a trifecta like that work.

Like, if a team with several allstar/all NBA guys, several all defense guys, a deep bench, vets, etc can't get it done - you sorta just have to tip your cap at that point.

In response to Reply # 1

From what I saw from a recent youtube video from Bobby Marks, that second apron really restricts what moves teams and perform in terms of trades.

If they are at the second apron, I dunno what big moves they can make to be honest.

If I had to pinpoint this memory, it'd be August 9th vs the Bucks.

I'd spent the summer justifying fine dining food as deliverable from the cavernous confines of a restaurant meant to seat 200 or so a night that suddenly claimed five or six occupants a day. For most of that summer, the fruits of our spring desperation bore...fruit, I guess.

(Spoiler or time saving alert...Doncic barely factors into these highlights baring his name and statline until nearly 4 minutes in...with about 10 minutes remaining in the 4th and just over 5 remaining in the reel.)

A friend and I had decided to go to an old neighborhood hang of ours, the first time he'd been out period since lockdown and I'd been able to take my eyes off of spreadsheets to hang out with some other dude, not just the people I was holed up with everyday trying to fend off unemployment (which, it should be said, this friend received plenty of and greatly enjoyed).

Here's where I'll say I don't think that highlight package even begins to illuminate how transcendent Luka was. But I kind of love that it doesn't. Anthony and I sat alone in a bar that had rarely flirted with space and we watched Luka put on this show, laughing maniacally as he demanded a win in the face of a loss.

(In this case, the reel does its job. The Bucks look destined to win.)

I'm not the sort of person that celebrates perpetual failure, and I've put players before jerseys as far back as the mid-2000s. They might be bland, but I like the guys in the Celtics jerseys, and I think it's absurd to diminish how consistently successful they've been no matter how their conference or the injuries within it have played out over the years. There's a significant part of me that truly believes the Celtics are as good as the numbers say they are and this title is theirs to take.

As poorly as that highlight package communicates a 36/14/19 performance, it can still remind me of the time I was most tempted to feel hopeless, yet for some dumbass reason a schlubby Slovenian reminded me of the power of art, and/or that classics can choose benign origins.

All of which to say, I think it'd be nice if we could recognize that what Jayson and Jaylen have done is quite singular...but I'll never write some romantic half-page about how happy they made me on a random summer night, pandemic or not. My gut tells me, especially if Porzingis is healthy, Celtics in 6...

My heart tells me Mavs in 4, or however long it takes.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

only because...he had a terrible series against OKC. PJ Washington turning into Game 6 Klay Thompson is what did us in. That said...he was absolutely brilliant in the WCF, so I dunno, man. I know if he and Luka don't combine for 75-80 a game, they got no shot.

as i said before, Boston just has too many defenders with size to throw at Luka and Kyrie. i mean, shoot, there was a FEW times last night where Al Horford's old ass had Kyrie pressed. shit, Sam Hauser played effective defense most of the game.

i won't be shocked if Boston sweeps, but they'll probably do a Boston and lose by 15+ randomly one game.

put me down for Boston in 5 too.

and believe they will make the Cs work harder than any other team they have faced thus far because Kyrie and Luka exist and they have quality defense and bigs.

BUT

if they have Dat Zingis back, I'm taking Boston in 7.
Because every rotational player on the Celtics can make 3s. Everyone. With Zingis in the starting lineup again, that makes Horford the main backup and shifts some players out of the rotation.

Jaylen Brown has been the best player for Boston in these playoffs. Resist NyQuil. Mozzarella needs to do so as well, and they will win.

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

and i get most of them through league pass. this year the bleacher report add-on for max was nice because i got all the TNT games live and would watch the espn/abc games when they hit the league pass archive ~3 hours after conclusion. only missed a handful of live games i wanted to watch

i would use sling but sling is dookie butter. had it for most of the 2022-23 season and half the time i couldn't even connect to the channel (or the service!) for one ridiculous reason or another, always on sling's end. extremely frustrating. terrible product

i hope the new rights deal helps centralize engagement for broadcast games. i'm not confident it will. however i'm perfectly content to watch everything on league pass and catch the national broadcasts on archive if it means i don't have to toss $ down the well for a few months every year

should be a huge favor for Porzingis compared to the day and rest the prior playoff series oddly had this year.

I am interesting in how he'll look in game two since he did play a ton of minutes in that first half for someone that didn't play a lick of basketball for about a month.

I have to admit I was surprised how spry he looked on the defensive end last night.

I had SERIOUS reservations about that trade...mostly because I just really like Marcus Smart. That said, it was absolutely the right thing to do. I have to say, I didn't realize Staps was such a willing rim protector. I figured he COULD, to some extent...but, he legit looked like he relished it this year.

The refs set a problematic tone letting Boston get away with mugging the Mavs while calling a LOT of early fouls on Dallas, but Luka did not read this game right. MJ mastered the art of knowing when to take over v. get everyone else involved. Luka was cooking early but tried to get too many folks involved. If he went "fuck it I'll do it" they'd have had a better shot to win, cause clearly no one else was hitting on nothing.

In response to Reply # 44

Look at the production this postseason:

Tatum: 398 points, 165 rebounds, 100 assists, 43 turnovers
Brown: 393 points, 100 rebounds, 46 assists, 45 turnovers

Tatum was also obviously more productive during the regular season. Only difference in the postseason is Tatum's 3-point shooting has slumped from nearly 38% this regular season to 29% this postseason, and Brown's 3-point shooting has more or less stayed the same (35.4% regular season, 35.6% postseason). Brown's also, from the eye test, been better about finishing at the rim than Tatum has, though I don't have those percentages handy (I also wouldn't be surprised if Brown is just usually been at finishing at the rim than Tatum has).

But Tatum is running the offense. I think he's the glue that helps make everyone else better, even on nights when his shooting isn't going. More than anything else, I think all of this is clear that the annual offseason panic of "can Tatum and Brown make it all the way playing together? should the Celtics split them up?" is always silly, lol.

(I also think, in a very interesting turn of events, there's a decent chance Jrue could end up winning Finals MVP. Through two games, he's averaging, 19, 9.5, and 4 while boasting easily the best shooting on the team and committing a grand total of *zero turnovers,* lol. He's on one right now.)

More Christmas movies coming in 2025...

Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis suffered a torn medial retinaculum allowing dislocation of the posterior tibialis tendon.

day-to-day or on his deathbed, depending on which twitter drs/accounts you follow. i only trust dr raj brar personally

really changes boston's ability to switch on D and hurts their 5 out spacing quite a bit. still not seeing a super clear path to victory for the mavs but maybe they can take game 3, if boston continues to miss 3s at a high clip?

edit: apparently he's going to try to play game 3. hope it doesn't backfire on them

on both ends of the court, I'm concerned he'll end up hurting himself even more due to being so compromised and/or off balance because this malady.

When he initially hurt himself in Game Two, he hesitated from putting weight on the ankle when gathering himself.

As it stands, this is the most boring Finals in some time. The Celtics are far too good and far too deep and the Mavs haven't had a stretch of more than 2-3 minutes at a time where they seem to be the better team. The KP injury might make for some more intrigue but...this is boring.

His impact at the rim, both as a shot blocker and as a deterrent to force pull-ups, can't really be overstated. I think if he can't play, it's a series.

In response to Reply # 0

djoker is the greatest, sure etc..but ive always thought the greatest tennis playing ive ever seen is in the game right after nadal's serve gets broken in a grandslam match, and rafa had to absolutely get a game back--he turned it up to a level that any opponent could rarely match

and between the 2021 finals and this one now..Jrue reminds me of that on defense in crunch time. like dude chills during regular season and then casually "so i saw the 4 of you fiddling with that 'close game'-jar all season, not being able to open--give me.. *quick twist/pop/cements the win*"

and middleton/portis must be incredulous watching this & knowing they gave it away...while coach bud laughs his ass off..

i was viewing celts thru my heatfan-hater goggles admittedly, but damn that roster is a motherfucker

In response to Reply # 55

nfl, mlb. defensive intensity and fatigue are huge factors in nba playoffs. steph curry? rarely tired. big reason jokic and ANT aren't playing right now is they ran out of gas, couldn't carry the load.

in the past, playoff d intensity rattled the Celtics. tatum, imo, stays rattled. in the past jaylen's bad dribbling was exposed by the more intense D. not so much this year. too many shooters.

fatigue factor...doesn't bode well for Luka in this series. but kyrie seems to play halfspeed half the time. can he play at 110 the rest of the way? dunno. Mavs have looked outmatched, 2 guys taking turns playing iso ball with varying success vs a much more balanced, well-oiled sabermetrics machine.

consummate whiner, and he's out there letting everyone blow by.

like, yes, some guys are not good defenders, but they are out there trying their ass off.

shit, you're getting outplayed on the defensive side of the ball by Sam Hauser and Xavier Tillman. you SHOULD be embarrassed.

barring a miracle, this is a title for the Celtics...and if the way it went and how you played doesn't motivate you to actually get in shape for once in your career and play defense? literally nothing will.

i have no idea how he has fans. he's so hard to root for.

even if i was a Dallas fan i'd have trouble because of his lack of effort on the defensive end.

and people like to bring up that he carries the load on offense so he has to 'rest' on defense but that's not excuse.

no one is asking him to be all defense...they are just asking him to TRY and he can't or won't (i think it's a little of both and the can't is him not being in great shape). like, at least be a good "team defender."

he can't even do that.

KD was a headcase who left because he was pissed that Curry was more popular and beloved than he was amongst Warriors fans. So he left and hasn't gotten out of the second round since. Meanwhile, Curry and Draymond) have won another championship. If KD had sucked it up, he'd at least have one more championship.

All that is true , leaving Steph for Kyrie is dumb as hell. But the warriors didn’t really make it a place he wanted to stay at .

and Draymond is still a fucking headcase bc he knocks out teammates like a Jailblazer

...then it HAS to be true.

There's a whole ass book documenting KD being a headcase that last season, including first hand accounts of him flipping out because fans cheering Marreese Speights when he came back in town. Plus every single local media member noting, "Yeah, KD is acting really weird this season."

And on the "Curry is equally responsbile" side, we have Swaggy P, a known goof, talking to Arenas, an even bigger goof. Don't know who to believe here.

>lol there was alot of dysfunction / egos on that team , your

So there is on every winning team. But they won four championships. Before KD got there. And after he left. Like Draymond said.

>All that is true , leaving Steph for Kyrie is dumb as hell.

Come on, man. Curry spent four season deferring to KD and helping him look as good as he did. KD started throw shit fits because they weren't playing enough ISO ball. This, after him getting frustrated in OKC because they were playing too much ISO ball.

>and Draymond is still a fucking headcase bc he knocks out

It was just Jordan Poole. Who hasn't exactly been setting the league on fire since he got traded. He's another guy who probably shouldn't have mouthed off, and he wouldn't be stuck on one of the league's laughing-stocks.

And really, what’s the purpose of a 21-point if you can’t trick off 20 points of it?

but Boston's offense was looking pretty ragged in the fourth quarter. Props to them for winning and all, but they definitely didn't play pretty looking basketball as the game was winding down.

getting into stupid iso sets with Peyton Pritchard, etc.

that stuff is easy to clean up - just don't run Pritchard iso's.

i don't even understand how nba pros do shit like that, though you see it all the time. i assume they want a guy to get going or something, but it's ALWAYS weird to me.

The Celtics definitely have shown at times this year the propensity to sit on their lead, settle for bad shots, and let teams sneak back into it... but if you build a big enough lead, I reckon that shit doesn't need to matter, lol.

just wanted to show him some love as someone who has been critical of him in the past.

he's REALLY put in some work on his game, in multiple places.

obviously, he's been fantastic on defense.

he's really worked on his midrange to the point where he's sort of looking like prime Kawhi, but even more athletic and a better 3 point shooter (i'm saying this off feel - stats my say something else i didn't check).

his handle looks much improved. i've seen him execute some nice handles in tight spaces this entire run.

lastly, his aggression/attitude/desire is way improved.

much respect. i've been impressed for sure.

so I could be way off on my assessment here, but given that he's such a seemingly low key dude, I don't think he cares that deeply about improving his game for individual awards. Outside the off chance he has an incentive in his contract for any type of individual awards, I don't think that was motivation for him to improve his game.

Simply put, I think the fact the Celts was close to sniffing the title in the past 3-4 years, but never got the job done was the main impetus for him to level up.

As much as it pains me to say this as a Knicks fan, both Tatum and Brown have room to grow on the offensive end, which is a pretty scary thing for years to come. The one thing I can think of that'll limit the Celts from being overwhelming title favorites for years to come will be their second apron limitations.

he didn't have that before. and he's moving through tight spaces with it VERY well.

but even when he's just squared up one on one on the perimeter in space, he's moving around guys MUCH easier with his handle whereas, as we know, he'd sometimes just lose it in the past simply dribbling the ball while being faced up by someone.

Minny matched up well vs. them and the Nuggets bench had taken a hit from the prior year.

Kyrie has two more top tier years left max, so barring some big moves the "greatest offensive backcourt ever" hype wheel gonna fall off.

the fact that Boston came back from that deficit WITHOUT Staps? done done and done.

I wonder how much that previous finals appearance helped Boston's main 2 guys understand where they needed to be physically. Because yeah, those dudes look ready to roll down the stretch of games. Meanwhile, I keep seeing front of rim misses for Luka and others. I could be overreacting, but it seems like a thing.

Regardless, it is great to see a team like Boston keep knocking at the title door and finally look like they're ready to walk on in...maybe as early as Friday. They know they can go 5 minutes without a field goal with the worst of em too! But it looks like they have this one and Dallas needs too many things to happen at once that probably won't happen.

Last thing: I don't care how much crying and whining dude does (and he damn well does!), those refs had no business fouling Luka out of that game. Fuck no, I'm not trying to claim that Dallas 'woulda wun' or anything like that. But c'mon now...don't call that foul. Let em finish getting beat by Boston.

what are the refs supposed to do? he literally tripped/bodied Brown to the floor. he left the refs no choice. that's on him.

it was crystal clear Luka was getting fouled by Boston and the refs decided to tuck in their whistles. I have a feeling it's because that referee crew might have been sick of Luka's complaining, but they definitely blew some non-calls that worked against him.

First off, he fouled him. That was a foul. And like someone else said, if they don't call it or worse...overturn it? loooolll

But it isn't even about the foul, honestly. It shows how piss-poor Luka's ball IQ is and how poor his game management is.

You have five fouls you flabby fuck, why are you trying to draw a charge on a man who has been cooking you all game?

He deserved that foul not just because it was an obvious foul, but because it was a stupid fucking attempt to draw a charge.

And then had the caucasity to curse at his bench and cry about the refs post game.

They were even breaking down Luka's defensive lapses last night on NBATV of all places. That's how bad Luka was- the NBA's PR arm can't even deny it anymore.

He left the refs no choice but to foul his ass out.

They didn't trade Jrue TO the Celtics...but I see what you mean. Still, I think this, more than anything, shows how deep the Celtics are. Jrue can be the 4th best player on the court and have a HUGE impact. If he needs to be 2 or 3? I don't think that's necessarily a recipe for success.

They needed to do *something* of course, but... oof.

And I think it's pretty clear I'm not saying they traded him TO the Celtics. But they did swap him for Dame, they did swap coaches out in midseason then got waaaay worse (seriously - when does that ever happen?!), and are probably all but losing Giannis barring a miracle next year. Just a complete disaster.

Meanwhile, the guy they offloaded - who is still excellent, and I'd argue is still a legit #3 on a lot of teams - cruised through the regular season and postseason to ring 2.

If I’m keeping it a buck, this team is just hard to hate.

They have each other's back, it's anchored by two young studs in their prime after years of knocking at the door, nobody is ring chasing, the organization didn't hotshot their way into the mix, they built with savvy trades and quality drafting, plus you got quality vets getting their moment, and the players are generally selfless.

Horford still looks 23 but he's old as fuck in NBA years, and has been a consummate professional. That’s the sort of vet teams need. So Al getting one is dope.

Jrue has further validated a fantastic, if understated, career.

Zingis looked like his career was all but over in any meaningful way, but he found his spot as a 3rd- arguably 4th- guy.

I can't be mad at any of that

That said, now would be a great time for the Lakers to hit up Shams or Woj and announce the JJ Reddick hire.

I don’t care who they hire because this entire team is a mess from ownership on down.

Until Jeanie stops using the Rambii as her braintrust or sells the team, it’s going to remain a trainwreck.

There’s a report that Pelinka still needs to convince Linda Rambis that JJ is the guy.

A, I don’t see a great crop of coaches out there anyways

B, Even if Rob is wrong and JJ isn’t the guy, Linda fucking Rambis should not be an obstacle to any coaching hire. Ditto for her failing upward ass husband.

I don’t care if Pelinka wants to hire YOU. The Rambii should not have a say in that.

This team has a million problems and it starts with terrible ownership. At this point I’m just here for the ride and the fact that JJ was the big name in this coaching search until they made a laughable offer to Hurley is just another sign that it’s a bunch of clowns running this thing.

TLDR, I don’t really care what they do at this point until the Buss family either magically figures out how to become competent or sells the team.

I get why the dumb, star fucking Lakers don’t want him

But I thought his name would be bubbling a bit more for the Cavs job at least.

And yeah, The Celtics have highlighted what an abject embarrassment the Lakers are as a franchise.

On one hand, it’s easy to lament the fact that we drafted Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram over Tatum AND Brown, but let’s be real: they would have shipped both of them out years ago anyways.

The more I think about it, I’m happy they won because they demonstrated in droves the one quality the Lakers do not have at all:

Patience.

I'm not really into JJ as a coach, partially because I like his content and don't want to miss out on his podcasts, especially Mind the Game. But he has 0 coaching experience, and outside of knowing the game some and speaking well, we have no idea about his coaching abilities.

He says all the right things and comes off well in interviews, but look at Doc Rivers. He also talks a good game and is just okay as a coach. If "okay" was the goal here, we could have just held onto Ham (who I wasn't really out on in the first place).

Considering the last coach also didn't have head coaching experience walking in, it seems like we just took the CD out of the player because it wasn't playing right, found out there were smudges and fingerprints on it, just blew on it, put it back in and now expect different results.

Ironically, Mark Jackson seemed to be the first in this trend of front-offices hiring coaches without any previous experience. He worked out okay. Kerr did great (although he was previously a GM and was around some great basketball cultures, so he wasn't walking in completely cold), but the other ones (Nash, Fisher) were trash, and I don't see why JJ could be much different.

I think the fact that I was half-pulling for BOS in this series is an indictment of how much my fandom of the Lakers has fallen. Yes, this BOS team really earned this title, and their stars and narrative are generally likable. But, The Big 3 was a nice story, and I in no way was rooting for them back in the Aughties.

I was so hopeful and optimistic when Jeanie took over the team, but being the smart Buss doesn't mean it's a high bar to get over. It's like Jeanie and Jim inherited very little of the smarts and self-awareness to maintain the culture that led to the titles and all of the entitlement that rich kids with privilege get. Exhibit A of this is the pettiness and botched social media posts regarding Jerry West. I lost a lot of my respect for Jeanie and this organization over that. Very disappointed in them.

Maybe I'll become a Clipper fan. They're the better-run LA organization at this point.

The rest is on point.

If we know one thing about the Clippers, it’s that Clips Gonna Clip. I don’t mean in terms of superstition or magical thinking either. They’re not much better to be honest. They made what seemed like seismic moves on paper only to shit the bed with it time and again.

Far as Jeanie, she’s still leaning on this Lakers mystique bullshit and I don’t think anyone in that family apart from maybe Joey and Jesse, who seem to have developed some solid draft acumen, have developed any actual basketball related skills.

I think they’ve had some success on the back of the Lakers legacy and some incredible all time great players, but they’ve managed to fuck up a LOT.

So I’m with you on all that. I’m still a Lakers fan though, and I can take losing, just not consistent losing due to sheer incompetence.

I don’t blame Salters, but of everyone she talked to in the immediate aftermath of the win and during the championship ceremony, Jrue was the only one who could string together a coherent sentence. Let the guys enjoy their moment and celebrate with their teammates and families. Then get their comments at the post game presser.

I think sticking a microphone in their faces immediately after a win not only takes away from the natural, in-the-moment celebration these players, coaches, execs, etc. should be having with eachother, but it also seemingly encourages players to come up with some catch phrase or viral moment. It all just comes off totally unnatural, at least to me.

I got a lot more from the interviews that took place, say, 20-30 minutes after the final buzzer, when the players were still basking in the glow of their accomplishment(s) but were able to add some perspective to their answers/comments.

As a Celtics fan, I stayed up til like 3am taking it all in, and again I just got way way more out of both the local NBC Sports Boston interviews w/players and coaches/execs, and the NBATV interviews with a lot of those same people, than I did out of the interviews that took place as the confetti was falling.

I didn't think of it in the way that you just articulated, but once I read your post I was like, yea, I felt (and always feel) the exact same way even subconsciously.

I see why the media wants the interviews. They can add them to the end of the broadcast rather than wait half an hour or longer for clips from the locker room or post-game presser.

I think Blake Griffin said it best when he said that the post-game interviews are like if someone ran an intense 5K and at the end, someone ran up to them and put a mic in their face. It's hard to think straight, much less coherent, with well-considered thoughts about the game when you're catching your breath and trying to get your heart rate down.

I personally don't mind them, but I can't think of the last time that someone said anything really compelling during one of those interviews. Maybe when LeBron said, "Cleveland! This is for you!" Outside of that, I don't know.

Congratulations on the win, btw. As a lapsing Lakers fan, it should mean something to say that you all earned this title and deserve it.

but it was a thing of beauty to see Tatum actually go to the bucket with authority last night primarily and look to shoot the three once he established himself in the paint. I think I even remember him posting up Kyrie once or twice.

So happy for these guys. From the beginning of the season, it just felt like they had something special with this group. Everybody bought in to the ultimate goal and adjusted their games as needed to make it happen. Amazing to see what JB did to improve his game this year and that finals MVP was well deserved. Excited to see the next level of JT\JB.

especially with Jaylen Brown getting Finals MVP

now he's tied with that jabroni who should have taken a L to this same franchise 2 seasons ago.

I mean, all the NyQuil allegations aside, the Celtics built a winner largely because Dame wanted out of Portland.

turning Marcus Smart, Brogdon, and Timelord into Jrue and Zingis is a perfect example of striking when the iron's hot.

Jrue/Derrick was a killer backcourt

My "Zingis ain't never gonna stay healthy to be worth it" agenda is a technical W but it didn't really affect the Celtics because the team could fill in the gap just enough.

it was show and prove time for the 2 Jays. Now they did it. And Boston is back to the top of the mountain.

(We comin' for you, niggas)

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.
