"NFL Draft 2024"

this feels a lot like 2021, where you have a consensus number-one quarterback (not saying it will play out that way) and another tier of guys who could make or break the franchises that take them

ominously, Lawrence is still holding on but none of the 2021 guys worked out for the team that took them top-15

Jayden is much better, and other than the ability to run, bears no resemblance.

And most of the top qb's in the league now can make plays with their legs.

This is possibly our last shot at a championship with this particular squad as configured. And trading the #1 or #2 receiver before the season starts in that situation would be very, very strange.

I imagine we drafted a WR because we've had some issues with WR depth. And, hey Deebo gets injured, especially considering how he plays/how Kyle plays him. Not an awful idea to have a young and skilled back-uo.

Now, next off-season? I can see either the team letting Aiyuk walk and trading Deebo. For money reasons. And if that happens, it will be good to have a young WR who's already on the team and will be at least familiar with the system.

I’m happy they didn’t trade the kitchen sink to move up for a QB, or reach for JJ.

Nabers and Hyatt with Robinson underneath - WR corps have a ton of potential for the Giants.

Have a feeling we will try to move him around the OL.

We have this obsession with moving guys from their natural position.

Dotson was a RG and we moved him to LG and he struggles. He goes to LA and plays RG and was top 5.

STOP MOVING GUYS FROM THEIR NATURAL POSITION

The Seahawks took a long look at him and would have played him at guard if they took him.

Plus, having played tackle, he can fill in if needed.

Worry not. Dude is super versatile and many had him as the best OL talent in this draft. It would be a shock if he's not REALLY good regardless of where he plays.

only 1 more pick before the 5th round, but fuck it

this was their guy, at the weakest spot on the team, now playing next to the same guy he played next to in college.

Sewell, McNeill, St. Brown, Melifonwu, Hutchinson, Jamo, Barnes, Joseph, Gibbs, Campbell, Laporta, Branch

more than half the starters, all drafted since 2021

Pretty much every mock had both Mitchell and Arnold as top 15 picks. The insane run on QBs obviously helped a lot with that. But yeah, big time value for both the Eagles and Lions.

Broncos seem to be in a general tailspin.

I love it.

They're already telling the story...HE LEARNED THE PLAYBOOK! OVERNIGHT! Wow!

When teams are trying to 'win the divorce' publicly, they are setting themselves up to lose it...publicly. Hopefully Nix is good (cuz the league is better if more QBs are at least decent) but I'm not sure who the Broncos are about to have him throwing to!

absolutely abysmal secondary. Slay may have 1 decent season left in him and James Bradberry was arguably the worst starting CB in the league last year. This is like 2002 all over again when the Eagles drafted Lito Shepherd and Sheldon Brown in the 1st/2nd round to replace Bobby Taylor and Troy Vincent. They also drafted Michael Lewis in the 3rd, who flashed early on, but ultimately fizzled out bc he was an old school in the box safety.

Love the aggressive movie by Howie. There was going to be run on CBs - starting with Kool-Aid and Cooper DeJean. Might as well go for a guy you think is elite than hope a guy you have rated lower is still there 10 picks later (Edgerrin Cooper wasn’t). Also, they already picked out by Mitchell falling in their laps.

- after whiffing on literally every one of his edge picks, he finally drafted a pass rusher who has technical ability instead of focusing on traits

- AD is rough around the edges but a talent to add to the receiving room and see who he pushes; after they missed out on the corner run this was good value

- OL swingman who can play either tackle side is valuable depth
