The Oakland Athletics, who arrived in the Bay Area in 1968 and won four World Series championships, are in their swan song season at the Coliseum.
Owner John Fisher, a target of fan scorn for his plan to relocate the A’s to Las Vegas, has struck a deal to temporarily move the team to a minor-league ballpark in West Sacramento for the 2025-27 seasons, with an option for a fourth season.
“We explored several locations for a temporary home, including the Oakland Coliseum,” Fisher said in a statement. “Even with the long-standing relationship and good intentions on all sides in the negotiations with Oakland, the conditions to achieve an agreement seemed out of reach. We understand the disappointment this news brings to our fans, as this season marks our final one in Oakland. Throughout this season, we will honor and celebrate our time in Oakland, and will share additional details soon.
“We extend our appreciation to the Kings and the City of West Sacramento, and look forward to making Sutter Health Park our home until our new ballpark opens in Las Vegas.”

not sure its an issue because aint no one trying to watch them fools in Sacramento.. lol
nah, I have no idea what the crowd size or demand would be but I feel like baseball is a sport where different field sizes are part of the game.
that green monster high af because the field is short as hell which always felt ridiculous
**************** TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

The footprint of Fenway is tightly wedged into a busy city neighborhood. Directly behind the Green Monster is Landsdowne St. The only possible way to further expand the park at this point is to build straight up vertically.

And I say that as someone who's been going to A's games since I was seven. There used to be no greater joy that catching a game with my dad. And Fisher's greedy ass ruined that. So, he can eat shit and die slow. I feel a little bad for the players, but that's about it. I'm take pleasure in watching them by a colossal failure in Vegas.
Oh, and fuck the Raiders too. My feelings for that collection has always stemmed from how the fucked up the Colesseum. I hope they continue to suck for 30 more years.

If they had just stayed down there it wouldn't have caused many of these problems. The team relocating up here and immediately regretting, and fucking up the stadium in the process, is the core of my genuine hatred for the team.
I do think about going to a few games this fnal season, but it just seems like such a depressing proposition. And the idea of rewarding Fisher, who's been so actively working to piss of the fanbase, would make me sick.
