dude rarely shows up in the playoffs too.

A ghost? Wow, he sure must have put up some insane performances in his early years in order to win those DPOY awards and amass those 20+ sack seasons, if he was disappearing every other game!

that's a big *if*. Sorry
To be clear, I'm not saying it's his fault by any stretch (unless he was juicing).
But to be a GOAT d lineman, you have to a) stay healthy and b) prove yourself in the playoffs.
Neither happened with Watt.
Of course Watt will be 1st ballot HoF despite his injury record, so who cares really.
Last thing I'll say is that if numbers were all that mattered, Lavonte David would be 1st ballot HoF, just like Bobby Wagner will be. But that's not what'll happen

You are acting like we are talking about Jerome Brown or Tommie Harris or someone who didn't stick around long enough to prove anything.
Watt's stats are, on face value, better than Donald's. He had a full career. Without the injuries, it could have been something else, but we are not out here talking pure hypotheticals. This man dominated on the field, and for a significant period of time.
You said it wasn't close between him and Donald, and that is just ridiculous.

injuries or otherwise. I have nary a negative word to say about that man. I've watched him literally win games, by himself. The thing that makes A.D. even more amazing to me is that he did all that from an interior line position. So much more trash to get through in order to even get counting stats. Coming off the edge, you gotta beat your man...coming from where Aaron is lines up you gotta beat 1, 2, maybe even a third to get in the mix.
