AKA if Payton doesn't like Russ and he wants to move off of him as badly as it seems, DENVER SHOULD DO IT (if they want Payton as their coach long-term).
For Russ, being stuck with a coach who doesn't like him AND is willing to come at him directly on the sideline and kinda sorta sideways in the media repeatedly is a bad look FOR RUSS. So he needs to be out of that situation post-haste even if he doesn't play another serious down of NFL football after that.
We already have the bullshit narrative shows talking about 'tarnishing legacies' and all of that. RIDICULOUS! Like I didn't just see Matt Ryan play like dogshit for ~ half a decade and lots of people still just wanted to love him and be who they am long enough for him to get to the Colts for a year before he made it wildly clear that he needed to be all the way that the house. Haha. Big Ben and Eli too since we're here. You saw those dudes actin a fool out there. They were basically late-career executive suite dudes who didn't quit because they were making too much money. Don't start me on Rivers either. Just don't!
