He seemed relaxed without the pressure and stress of being Kobe on the court. You got to see his sense of humor more (that clip of him and Luka is still really funny), but he would have been such a great addition to Inside the NBA even in a more limited role.

I think Kobe was going to be one of the few GOATs whose post-career life arguably could have matched his playing career.
I know his name recognition helped quite a bit in winning his Oscar, but still, they're not just handing out Oscars.
And with his obsessive/fierce dedication, he could have become a great businessperson or creative.
His breadth of knowledge was so vast and wide that no matter what field he would have explored, he likely would have mastered it. With him, it was always a matter of "when" and not "if."
And none of this is touching his family life.
Anyone dying at 45 is taken too soon, but with Kobe, there's a palpable feeling attached to that event.
I think he had the knowledge, the gravitas, the sense of humor, the timing, and the charisma to be an all timer broadcaster like Chuck (obviously very different dudes, but similar broadcasting styles).
Post playing career Kobe could have been a whole other hall of fame career. Not to mention what he would have most likely brought for WNBA awareness.
I know people have their Kobe hot takes but the potential here is heartbreaking to see unrealized.

Whether that was in-game or in the studio.
I don't know if you watched his series Detail on ESPN+, but it was really interesting to see him break down film and pull out intricacies of gameplay. Like, his mind for observation was truly next level.
I'm sure he'd have that same brain for language and entertainment if he went into broadcasting.
