If that's the case, why do you dislike the flick? It's been years since I saw it, and I have no desire to see it again, but I don't remember it necessarily being bad. I felt a bit let down given all the big names attacked, but it was a fairly pedestrian action movie from what I could remember.

I felt that it was the least inspired of the bunch, but it oddly received a good amount of critical acclaim. To me it was like a robot had watched a ton of Boston movies and wrote a script. Outside of Renner and Blake Lively, I didn’t think the performances were that great. Plus, the bad guy ends up winning and it’s played up as this sorta heartwarming moment. I didn’t find Affleck’s character to be redeemable enough to get away with that.

Doesn’t this happen often? The idea being that most people think the favored team will bounce back/be more motivated after a surprise loss in Game 1, so the spread goes up for Game 2 to compensate for that betting action. It’s not rocket science.

All of that is highly, highly factored in. If it were just based on falling trends and actions

are used to created odds/spreads

close to the spread. Books do make errors and this is one of them.

no, they didn't make "errors", because they made money both games, which was the goal. If the Celtics or the Heat had won by 50, bookies wouldn't lose any sleep over it, they would simply factor that in to the next spread to even out the betting.

this is exhilarating to watch now, but man..everyone knows the hawks play-in game that we sleepwalked thru, but we had a game vs brooklyn nets late march, where they outscored us like 50-12 in 3rd quarter? ended up beating us by like 30. and we kinda sputtered our way thru those last reg season games & i was convinced they didnt have it this year...so yeah, i didn't see this shit coming **at all**

also nice to see Spo getting that "Pop-level"(?) respect during this run
