Warriors panicked, Kerr's copping pleas, and high percentage shots still reign supreme over 3s.

*Props to Curry for the triple double, but we all know that stat line would get fried, died, & laid to the side if that was anyone else taking 30 shots to get it (ie: Kobe).

cuz the Warriors pace-iest player, Jordan Poole, turned into a steaming pile of feces.

..Goof Troop ain't the veteran leader of this team.

He's not part of the Splash Bros. He already showed you who he is under pressure.

Kerr gambled on a strategy that brought AD away from the basket, but the Warriors panicked and reverted to desperate behavior when the shots weren't falling (instead of continuing to attack the paint).

The Warriors threw everything they could at LA and came up short because the Lakers showed poise and got the stops/rebounds when they needed.

i didn't notice it in the heat of game, but day after seeing a lot about how Kerr seemed to go away from what was working especially in the fourth quarter as far as the pick n roll stuff.

he gotta hold that L and do better.

..all that talk about having better conditioning and pushing the pace.

The Warriors shots were short in the 4th and we all know why.

..The Lakers aren't just defying the odds and winning games, they're doing it in ways that critics doubted they could sustain.

They're making mistakes, but maturing fast as a unit. They're communicating and coachable, top to bottom.

wide open. They lose.

Game 4, again, in the 4th, Warriors had there way with the lakers in
PnR, then abandoned it and started playing hero ball.

Curry takes two dumb ass shots.

These warriors are highly undisciplined that’s the difference..

Warriors dumb AF. Every last one of them, honestly.

I like Kerr, but if your best play is Steph inbounding (wtf??) to scared-to-shoot-Green to drive for a jump pass to (I assume Klay was the primary option)....just.... what a fucking mess.

Curry with two bad shots back-to-back when going to the rim had been working for him much better.

Curry panicking and throwing it out of bounds.

Green allergic to shooting. Klay with the body language/mental toughness of a pre-teen. To your point, complete lack of spacing.


That is just in the last few minutes.


Props to LA of course, but the Warriors choked this one up big time.

GS crumbled under pressure, but it was LA that applied that pressure.


I take my L on LA's midseason moves. I didn't think they would move the needle that much...if at all...I thought the moves were over-hyped. I was wrong. This is a fun team to watch- even if you aren't a fan.


I do think it is remarkable how dumb the Warriors play though. Pretty much top to bottom...


I mean, look. Say Curry actually goes to the rim...no telling that Bron wouldn't have stuffed him again. Say Kerr calls a play that actually matches his personnel...no saying LA doesn't come back and answer. Etc, etc.

I guess my point is to flip it, GS put very little pressure on ya'll down the stretch because they were playing like a young and dumb team rather than champs.

It was legit weird.

Part of it is probably ego in that they just expect those hero shots to fall because they are the Warriors or whatever.

But for those of us who were keenly aware of what we lacked beforehand, it was such a dramatic makeover that the *potential* was quite clear at the time, and i recall that was where my argument lied at the time.

That THIS would be the result was anyone’s guess, but the positioning of it was clear.
The ingredients were there, we just needed the right recipe.

What’s really scary though, is that Beasley and Bamba didn’t really pan out- and they were two of the more significant acquisitions on the surface. Bamba was a flyer, but he got injured and wound up giving us nothing at all.

So imagine this team with those two performing somewhere even close to what we had hoped for at the time.

And yeah, I did make that statement in your header. GS blew a few good chances, but we took a lot from them in the process. I think this series has been a perfect storm of that punch/counter punch dynamic I was talking about in this last game.

And sometimes that’s the great divider in the playoffs: which team does a better job of capitalizing on the others’ mistakes.

As tempting as it seems to chalk this series up to GS’ boneheaded and sometimes mystifying decisions, the fact is we’re not even in position to make them pay for those mistakes if we’re not already taking care of business on both ends.

theyre just non-factors. a net zero.

when dubs players are non-factors...theyre also affecting the whole team and putting them deeper in a hole. committing turnovers, blowing layups, missing free throws, chucking bad shots early in the shot clock, destroying the rhythm of the rest of the team, putting together the ingredients to spark an opponents run, etc. then the intangible stuff like horrible attitude and body language. a big net negative.

dubs players in the middle of a 12 round bout landing punches on their own face lol.

like austin reaves hasnt had the best series...but he just misses make-able shots at worst. maybe the occasional bad pass. jordan poole on the other hand? jeezus christ.

hes desperately shuffling through starting lineups trying to find an answer for anthony davis.

stephs supporting cast isnt contributing anything so the rotations are a big question mark every game.

you cant call in anybody from the bench to affect the game in a dramatic way (contrast that with lonnie walkers performance last night after getting his number called).

the team just isnt responding/producing.

i mean...you had players who were supposed to be key rotational pieces getting outplayed by two-way contract guys this season.

that lack of focus/effort/consistency has been their achilles heel.

then you add the culture that kerr has enabled...the turnovers, bad shot chucking, hotdogging before the job is done, bitching to the refs and catching techs, sulking and whining about minutes you didnt earn, etc.

dude just has nothing else to fall back on but excuses at this point.

It’s an absolute fucking master class.

Side eyeing any dumbass talking heads who say he wasn’t a factor in the second half - because for all of his up and downs on offense, this man is the best defender of his generation and it’s a travesty he doesn’t have a DPOY.
