I mean, I hate the Nuggets but assuming a healthy Murray and Porter (big assumption I get it).

that being said, i still thing the Dubs smoke the boots off them. Warriors might be the only elite offensive AND defensive team.

someone will lock up Porter an Murray and they'll abuse Jokic just like they did these playoffs.

Suns are getting worse. Dallas will be about the same.

I can't see any team in the East beating the Warriors.

Plus, good shot the Warriors are better.

Suns had the best record last year, CP3 may have another run in him. I feel like Dallas could get better in Kidd's 2nd year especially with a few roster tweaks. Can't count out Memphis making another jump either.

>I can't see any team in the East beating the Warriors.

I feel like a fully healthy Bucks team would give the Warriors trouble. They have no answer for Giannis. Unless Wiseman comes back and develops into a major rim protector I feel like that is an exploitable weakness that the Dubs have. The Celtics had guys getting to the rim at will at times and just didn't capitalize. Giannis would capitalize.

>Plus, good shot the Warriors are better.

possibly, at times "the big 3" looked to be showing their age, we all know how these multiple finals can take a toll, they've basically played the equivalent of another whole season in the postseason.

because despite the Warriors defensive prowess, Giannis gonna be a problem for anyone, especially a team that lacks size like the Warriors.

Wiseman (if they keep him) would help there, but he's a baby and i'm sure Giannis would abuse him off experience alone.

but i'm not sure who really cooks outside of that. Bucks not deep enough i don't think.

The thing with the Bucks is Giannis normally attracts so much attention it allows others to get off if they can knock down open shots. Similar to how Curry does on the perimeter for the W's.

i think the Dubs would just play Giannis as tough as they can and not let anyone else get off.

if Wiggins is locking down Tatum like this, you'd think he'd do the same to Middleton. Holiday would be the x-factor cuz he's really strong and even a good defender like Payton II would have a tough time keeping him out of the paint.

That's the thing, with Giannis on the floor Wiggins wouldn't be able to focus on Middleton, everyone would have to help out on Giannis.

he’s not even 24 and been through 3 back surgeries

Missed 3 seasons of basketball bc of it (1 collegiate 2 pro)

Denver should have offered him 5 for 50, not 175. That’s gonna hurt for a while

Agree w everything else

Edit, the Clippers will be great, esp w the new improved Reggie Jackson .

If Kawhi and George are healthy, plus a nice player who can score in Jackson, and a likely improved Terrance Mann.

that's pretty tough.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

A whole season of Klay. Hopefully our #2 center is healthy. Poole should continue to improve. Moody and Kuminga look like they have a ton of upside and she continue to do well with more PT.

In the realm of free agency, we're not losing a lot of people. Iggy is going to retire. I liked Porter Jr. and Bjelica, but neither are exactly "must haves." Besides, it's not like we won't be able to find guys to come here on veteran minimums in order to get a shot at a chip.

Looney is a key player who's unrestricted. He's stuck around here for a while on the cheap, and he's due for his "big" contract. However, ownership has always shown they're more than willing to take the salary cap hit to bring back talent, especially homegrown talent.

Payton II is the big question. He's played well enough for someone to offer him a pretty big deal, and I don't know if the Warriors can pay him anything more than the MLE. We'll see. But I'm optimistic we can run it back.

It will be interesting to see how the young guys develop, after a lot of early hype about Kuminga and Moody, Kerr didn't seem the trust them down the stretch. Did Moody play in the playoffs at all? Wiseman at this point is more hype than substance too, he's played what, like 40 games since high school?

It will also be interesting to see what they do with Looney. Wiggins and Draymond will be the last year of their deals next year and will be looking for new deals. And Klay the year after that.

they played more in the early series. kuminga did well. moody got run even after / over kuminga the further they got in the playoffs because he gave them good defense with less downside.

Did Moody play in the
>playoffs at all? Wiseman at this point is more hype than
>substance too, he's played what, like 40 games since high
>school?

wiseman is gonna beast. he probably could have played in the playoffs for a more desperate team. for the dubs, it would just fucked up the rotations and added uncertainty when they needed stability after not really having their big 3 on the court in the regular season.

there were more minutes to go around for kuminga and moody earlier in the playoffs too, because of steph's minutes restrictions.
>
>It will also be interesting to see what they do with Looney.
>Wiggins and Draymond will be the last year of their deals next

their 'b' team next year gonna be competitive with other teams' 'a' team.

athletes aren't themselves until a year AFTER their return from a catastrophic leg injury (knee, acl, let alone both), kd's return from his acl notwithstanding. frustrating as it was to watch him at times this season, klay was overachieving this year.

kuminga and moody showed themselves to be very capable NBA starters by the end of the season, and even in some playoff games when forced. kuminga's upside is just stupid (and his 3 pt shooting really surprised me). moody is just that smooth dude that you can put in and not worry about him making mistakes. that's an incredible thing to say about a 19yo rookie and ESPECIALLY in clutch playoff situations. them getting that full nba offseason while not drinking from the firehose is gonna be huge.

wiseman - i am still fully team wise. never bought into the talk that he should be traded. if he comes back physically, he will be a force. and they have other pieces that allow him to play through mistakes early. the looney 3 pump fakes to get a layup (no disrespect at all, get it how you live) will be lobs and dunk putbacks with wiseman. but they can start loon and ease him back to his 16 min per night numbers, extending his career.

i hope we keep otto. beli would be nice to keep, too. payton is a MUST. iggy prolly hangs it up and joins the staff. i'm cool w/ jta and dlee as continued vet min guys who are serviceable in a pinch and bring all the intangibles.

dray should be on a mission. b/c he ain't dumb and gotta see the youngins breathing down his neck. he made 3's (PLURAL!!!) in game 6. got to shoot and finish better.

steph - mark my words - gonna be on a mission, b/c his shooting %s slipped. i think he'll shoot better and be better next year, to the point of being in league mvp convos. the emergence of all the other cats, a more healthy and consistent klay, and his own relentless competitiveness and drive for perfection, plus none of the extra shit with the record chase or splash bro reunion. he might end up putting up 30 points in 30 min per night.

peace & blessings,

Bucks will be healthy.
Clippers will be healthy.
Christian Wood mavs pick up will be huge, if he can
stay on the floor.

Celtics will now have experience, and if they can pick up
an elite PG.

Clippers will be very dangerous with Jackson/PG/Powell/ Kawhi/ Zubak...
and a bench of Mann, Morris, Coffey and Kennard.

but most likely the bucks.

dubs gonna be a problem.

- i think poole will be better defensively
- steph will be more better defensively
- kuminga will be a problem
- moody will be much improved

a lot hinges on wiseman. if he's good for 20 min a game next year (splitting w/ loon), that takes out the big advantage that everyone had over the warriors this year, with size and athleticism in the post.

- klay will be better
- dray should be better
- payton will be better offensively but even coming off a major injury he was good enough defensively to get big minutes in the nba finals
- wiggs will be better

their upside, collectively, is bigger than the upside of everyone in the west. the good teams won't have high draft picks. grizz will continue to be a problem because they have a nice core that's growing quickly. but i think the amount of healthy weapons on O and D the dubs have will far outweigh that.

If Mavs had a great offseason I'd still put them ahead of the Clippers, though it would be close

I just have no idea what shape Wall is in. He hasn't played high level ball in like 3 years. Shit I don't have a clue what shape any of them are in really.
