Really happy for him.
It goes without saying that 2020 was a hellish year for him. I know this success (and his good play this year) pales in comparison with his losses over the last couple of years. But it's heartening to see him continue to play well. Especially when it would have been reasonable to give basketball a long break.

dunk contest since the 90's when the stars stopped participating then Vince got it hype again in 2000 but then for some reason they decided to give people 20 dunk attempts to really take the air out of the room, I think Blake Griffin in 2011 was the last dunk contest I was excited for, the 3 point contest is more interesting with more stars that we actually care about

this really fucks it up. give people one chance. if you doing some crazy shit but it takes you four tries, i really don't care no more. practice ahead of time and know what you gonna do. (i know, that will take some spontaneity out of it, but i'd rather lose 15% spontaneity than have to suffer through 8 attempts for 3 dunks. that shit sucks the air out the building).

but the joints with aaron gordon and zach lavine were hella entertaining.
thing is, the bar is raised so high, for MOST of the dunks you can look on youtube on OT sports and see 11th graders doing it.

selling the NBA as a product was executed greatly.
Rising Stars format change up was MUCH needed. Loved the skills contests (and the resultant memes) NBA 75 ceremony was great, ESPECIALLY since Cheese Eyes showed up.
the All-Star game was possibly the most entertaining in a while. Sure, there was no defense (hence all the Steph 3s) until the 4th quarter, really, but the new format really made it pop.
Loved seeing players both in Rising Stars and in All-Star that you would likely never get to see to play together.
