Courtois had been magnificent up until that moment.

Ancelotti is washed now.

Perez is going to unload the Brink for Mbappe this summer. No
doubt about it.

Real Madrid parked the bus and wasn’t even trying to battle. This is why the away
go was such a meaningful rule to incentivize teams to generate
Offense.

Comes in to a great situation, perfectly constructed roster, wins immediately then proceeds to gradually ruin it all. Poor stewardship, really.

Tuchel won three trophies in a span of 12 months. Lampard couldn’t win
a game if it came to him in a cracker jack box.

Tuchel gets victories and wins trophies. That’s all that matters at the bridge,
and he is doing it with extremely young players.

The reason why our Offense is stagnant is because Chilwel and Reece are
not available due to injuries, so we don’t have any prolific wingbacks at the moment.
He is forced to use a 4-3-3, with 3 defensive oriented players playing in the middle
from left to right......You can’t get any service out of that.

Chilwel and Reece’s ability to push the ball, breakdown the defense, and
provide service to Lukaku is unmatched.

Sarr, Jorginho, and Kante are not skilled in that manner....so they will provide
defense and control the middle, and provide protection for the back 4.

Don’t allow the other team score, generate offense in transition off the speed
of Ziyech, Pulisic and Lukaku, and play mistake free football. That’s Tuchel’s
system. It works!!

When Lampard had this team, Chelsea would score 4 goals, but then turn around
and give up 5-6 goals

GTFOH.

unmatched by any of *their* other options at fullback/wingback, yes?

they need someone a little more dynamic there i think

the way Perisic and Dumfries were tearing up Robertson and Dumfries, i was sure they were gonna score at least once. 2-1 seemed like the worst case.

also they really missed Barella. hes one of my favorite players anywhere, and Vidal is a significant step down at this point in his career.

In response to Reply # 0

I remember there is one other Newcastle fan in here and all I do is lurk these days but their situation and potential to avoid relegation is too good not to highlight.

After 14 years of negligence and inept ownership, Newcastle fans are finally rid of Ashley. I am not a fan of the Saudis and fully acknowledge their repulsive acts. Unfortunately, the fans did not get to choose their owner , especially the majority ones. The FA already have a Russian oligarch, a Qatari prince, a Saudi prince and American robber barons in ownership. Newcastle is just being added to that list. The minority owners that control the day-to-day management of the club have been great and a breath of fresh air compared to Ashley.

As of today, Newcastle are out of the bottom 3 for the first time in ages and won three in a row and tied with West Ham in a match they could have won. The January transfer window provided much needed help without breaking the bank. It is Newcastle, so of course there have been injuries but as a Newcastle fan, all I wanted was a team that fought hard for wins and that can provide hope. They have definitely done that. I actually look forward to matches now. They still give me mini heart attacks but they are not depressing anymore.

I am looking forward to what happens next.

Like, Watford is now 3 points from Everton and safety, but Everton have three games in hand. Burnley in relegation, but could be even with Palace in 11th. Can't tell anything about the top 4 either.

and rightfully so. It’s been a hectic 2 months with all the fixtures that we have
been in. From the Cup,CL,FIFA Club WC, FA, EPL, no team in the world
has played in the amount of fixtures that we have played in.

Tomorrow, Tuchel is going for his 4 trophy in less than a year.

GET YOUR WEIGHT UP.

You can’t box with the Blue Lions of Chelsea. Your efforts are useless.
Get on board or get obliterated.

sale. He is simply handing over operations of the club to
a board of trustees, who will administer the club based on specified
directions.

It’s a smart move while conflict is taking place between Russia and Ukraine.

He is not on any sanction list and has never been sanctioned. He still has access
to all of his assets. There has yet to be any proof regarding a financial connection
with Putin or the Kremlin, but he is not taking any chances due to Europeans trying
strike up a witch hunt against him.

in regards to his Russian political associations. He isn’t responsible for the war or the conflict. Even the Prime Minister had to be corrected by his own parliament because he was spewing bullshit and incorrect information about Roman.

He runs a legitimate football club in England, which does legitimate business
in England. And if there were any financial political favors, that took place in
Russia, not in England.

Bottom line, Roman is not on any sanction list. Roman has not been sanctioned...
so until that changes he is a legit businessmen, and the uproar is a witch hunt.

whether or not hes sanctioned tomorrow doesnt change whats in his past.

hes an admitted kleptocrat who makes money off of his corrupt relationship with the Russian government. also probably involved with the assassination attempt on Alexei Navalny.

his documented funding of illegal Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem make him a criminal in violation of international law anyways, so im confused about why youre going to the mat for this dude.

1. Roman is not a Kleptocrat. He is not a political ruler who uses his power
to steal his country resources. ...what country does Roman rule? I will wait.

2. Roman DONATED money to ELAD, and they support settlements in Palestinian
territories. That group is also supported by the Israeli government. Roman
never made an investment into the company, nor is he part of their business
practices or board of directors.

3. I’m not going to bat for Roman. I’m just stating factual info.

Roman has never been sanctioned or convicted.

I just support that a man is innocent until proven guilty. That’s what I’m
going to bat for.

The January signings are all performing very well. Adama "No End Product" Traore has 4 assists in 6 matches, Auba now has 5 goals in 6 matches, Dani Alves has 1 goal and 3 assists in 7 matches... and Ferran has 2 goals and 3 assists in 9 matches. Adama and Auba are far exceeding expectations, Ferran is kinda struggling to meet them. He's working hard and finding good positions, still finding his shooting boots though.

And at the weekend Dembele has 1 goal and 2 assists in 23 minutes on the pitch!

Memphis came back and scored. Luuk de Jong doing LDJ things. Pedri back and looking great. Gavi, struggling to keep his head but looking great. FDJ performing at a very high level in the past few games. We're not there yet, still need defensive reinforcements, but things are looking up.

Really curious to see how this Clasico looks in a few weeks. We won't challenge Madrid for the title, but top 4 for sure, we could even finish 3rd. And from where we were a few months ago, that would be a great feat.

Roman is being forced to sell, and probably was threatened with being sanctioned.
The fact that he is not going to recall any of his loans to the club, and that the revenue
that will be generated from the sale is going to a charity for the victims of the war, means that Chelsea was built for free.....

He loaned Chelsea over 2 billion dollars, and the Club is worth around 3-5 billion.

He is probably the greatest single owner of all time, hands down. He owned Chelsea
for his dedicated and simple love for the game of soccer, and he refused to accept defeat under any circumstances.

More than likely, the club will fall into the hands of American owners who don’t know
shit about the game, or a group of investors who are just looking to profit.

This is a squeeze move that he couldn’t avoid. I guess handing the operations over
to a board of Trustees wasn’t enough to satisfy the British government.

He walks out as a Champion of the World and Europe.

Focking team will probably be forced to tank the rest of the CL.....

Fock it.
