(my order)

1. CP3-Book
2. Steph-Klay
3. LaVine-Ball*
4. Donovan-Conley
5. Harden-Kyrie

*Funny I saw the post title and assumed DeRozan would be listed.
When they're both on the floor, he initiates the offense way more than LaVine.

Donovan has always loved using 3 guard lineups.
Who plays PG is pretty fluid.

Ball usually gets the ball off of defensive rebounds cause he runs the fastbreak better than anyone.

The Bulls have many ball handlers, but in the half court, the offense goes through Demar.

but yea CP & Book deserve that crown based on accomplishment. But in terms of raw talent and ceiling? It's Harden & Kyrie. We just haven't been able to assess them together yet.

Ad far as the Lakers issues part of the problem is Russ hasn’t had a consistent backcourt mate, Avery Bradley was signed the day before the season started but has been the most consistent defender, THT has largely been a bust, Monk has been up and down, we haven’t seen Nunn and don’t know when we will.

A lot of this is on Pelinka

He's played the 2 this year for the Lakers and is even listed as a SG/SF on the roster.

Agreed that this roster should fall on the responsibility of Pelinka - but to be fair - I don't think anyone thought THT would be this bad. He's been awful. Still want to see this team whole with Nunn on the floor (as I always thought Russ & Nunn would be the starting backcourt). Avery is a solid backup and Monk has been quite good.

Because we have no clue yet what he is. If Klay's, say, 80% of what Klay was before his injuries, I'm easily taking Steph/Klay. Wouldn't be that hard. One of the best backcourt pairs of the last quarter century of the NBA, if not the best.

Considering how up in the air that, CP3/Book is the only one in the convo. Kyrie/Harden haven't played enough together for us to know if they'd even sniff the insane potential there.

None of us can possibly know how Klay is gonna play 6 games back from injury. Anyone saying they actually know who’s best right today is lying, lol.

He looked pretty damn crisp against the Mavs last night. Is that his ceiling for the next few weeks, or is that his floor? Literally no one knows. Way too small a sample. I’d still bet on the Warriors, but that’s a complete guess based on, yes, history.

personally I think Klay is at least a year away from being close to what he was if he ever gets there

I agree with Claw about Memphis though.

Once the playoffs start, Kyrie will have to make a decision, and I think at that point, he will get a shot. If KD or Harden are injured close to the playoffs, he won't get the shot and this point will be moot. But the sample we have of the Nets having all three together and at least some of their backup cast is they are breathtakingly good. We saw what KD could do on his own last year against the champions. KD with that backcourt? Phoenix doesn't stand a chance nor anyone else would stand a chance.
