Supposedly he didn't love Levy's transfer policy over the Summer, but now he's fine to coach Spurs? Weird shit, man.

Like, I imagine he'll get as much out of the roster as he can, but how much talent is really on that roster? It doesn't seem like any better than a 5th or 6th place squad even playing at maximum potential...so yeah, has Conte been promised big signings? Why else would he want the gig?

Don’t put your A squad on the pitch against Chelsea.

Just don’t do it.... save yourselves the embarrassment and
throw your academy players out there....

That way you have a valid excuse for getting
beatdown.

Magilla, what’s up with your squad? Middle table
might not be in the cards.

Leon Bailey's played fewer than 200 minutes, and he's the most direct replacement for Grealish that we've got. Sanson's been available for like 10 games since he joined in January. Buendia's been stop-start integrating into the team between injuries and the travel issues with the international break. Traore's been out too, so playing the 4-3-3 that the squad is comfortable with is damn near impossible, and the 5-3-2 hasn't worked except for at OT. Add some bad breaks in against Wolves and Arsenal and West Ham being in top form when we played them and we've got some shit to deal with.

go to Tottenham, and now we're not only stinking it up vs. Atalanta (again) but Varane is already off injured probably from being rushed back too soon in the first place.

Working on getting all of his assistants in as well. Good to have Gary Mac back, as I thought he did enough to have earned a run at the top job when Houllier had to step away. Michael Beale also looks an excellent coach. Looks like a smart move as the big thing that Villa got away from this year (poss down to Richard O'Kelly walking in the summer) was pressing as a unit, and that's something Gerrard got Rangers doing quite well. Hope this is the right guy to build on what Smith had going.

Also, Ecstatic that we're keeping Neil Cutler as goalkeeping coach- he's been excellent since he came on board. It was also awesome to hear just what he does so well in his interview with Ben Foster: https://t.co/569KFdREM6

French/PSG player Aminita Diallo was arrested for allegedly arranging for two men to attach her teammate Kheira Hamraoui after the team dinner after yesterday's UWCL match I guess. She's in hospital with leg/hand injuries. on some Tonya Harding, wants her starting position back thing.

A couple more weeks of UWCL group stage games started yesterday. Some weird momentary blackouts during the Barcelona game, like power surges, where all the lights went out and it was completely black in the middle of the game, only twice though.

The shit talking. It’s different, and part of the sport like fighting in Hockey.
To see 60-70 year olds marching down the street saying fock Chelsea is
hilarious to me.

I once had a supporter tell that me he hoped Chelsea’s bus blows up on
the way to the stadium. You can’t do that here with American sports. It will
get personal and exaggerated. You will never see fans of a team singing
songs saying screw the other team’s manager or whatever at a NFL game or
NBA game.

All of that is like sweet talk compared to the brutality that used to take place among
different supporters.

You guys always talk shit to me about Chelsea and I give it back...and vice versa.
It adds to the rivalries.

Can’t do that shit about basketball... I get attacked on some personal shit.

Obviously Xavi coming in a manager. First game this weekend.
Dani Alves back. Don't think he should start, but as a late game sub and to help Dest and Mingueza develop he could be great.
Rumors about trying to bring Thiago back. It's a few years too late for that imo, but, I would still be ecstatic.
Trying to get Sterling on loan with an option.
Pursuing Karim Adeyemi at Salzburg
Riqui Puig will likely see a lot more time under Xavi.

Patience is key, but this is exciting.

Not a fan of this to be honest. I was hoping ESPN would take it and fold the rights into ESPN +

Fuck peacock especially, unless this deal spurs NBC to upgrade that ( bs I have to wait for replays, can’t record, etc

I guess it could be worse where I’m living in the UK & have to pay for more than 1 avenue to watch

like, if i'm gone all morning on the weekend which i usually am? i can quickly watch a 10-15 minute package for EVERY PL game that day. love it.

Hopefully with this new deal NBC decides to fix that (give us the wherewithal to either record, or at the least make the replay available earlier than 24 hours for those 0430 PST games)

I couldn't care less re: the talking heads with soccer in the US (Roy Keane is great with Sky, if you've got 1 of those pirate boxes), though I generally hate that 'analysis' on TV.

Just make all the games readily available, whether it's a la carte PPV for one's favorite team, or a monthly fee for 1 platform

We played pretty well. But shit. We have a serious hole in the attack. With Fati and Dembele (always) injured... we have no goal scorers outside of Memphis. The kid Abde looked really fucking good, though. He's exciting. The other kid Akhomach... not so much.
The team was playing a lot more like a Barça team but we need some forwards, bad.

He should then be penalized for the misfortune of being born Polish.

Lord help Haaland in a year or two. He has no shot.

while Messi
>led his team to a Copa America victory

While Messi is rewarded for being Argentinian and managing to beat, well, just Brazil, really.

Are you sure you're arguing in good faith?

while winning golden boot and player of the tourney and putting up what would be insane stats except we're used to it from messi so it was "subpar" while being remarkably close to Lewa while playing for a clearly less impressive club team.

i'm not saying it was a blow out, but it certainly wasn't a snub.

Copa America is a tough tournament. And since Messi's been playing in it, it's been won by Brasil twice, Chile twice, and Uruguay. If it were just a matter of beating Brasil, they would have won it already.
So, while Messi has been shit on for damn near his whole career for not winning anything with Argentina, when he finally does it and is undoubtedly the best player in the tournament, it's suddenly "so?"

Lewandowski should have gotten the trophy in 2020. That's clear.
But in 2021? Based on what? Winning the German league? C'mon.
Based on goals? If that's all it takes then Messi should have 2-3 more Golden Balls than he does. Because he was the leader in goals+assists in several years when he didn't get the award.

He won the biggest competition of them all for both club and country.

He's just too wet behind the ears right now for United which is a HUGE job.

He might get there one day though. Not sure how he is tactically which is a fair question since he was there for Ole so either Ole ignored his advice or his advice was bad (probably more the former since his tactics seemed pretty solid albeit in a small sample size), but what I DO like about him is his demeanor. He seems to have the right temperment.

We just played a few days ago. It is what is.

I’ll take the L. It’s only the second loss of the season. Lukaku just returned
and is totally out of form. And Kante is still injured...

This team hasn’t been fully healthy in over a month.
