Something happened to Clifford in that Iowa game and they haven’t been the same since. Clifford has always been inconsistent, but he was terrible today and just not seeing the field well. Franklin coached another turd of a game. This team has nice pieces, but lacks consistency and creativity. They’ll be out of the top 25 soon enough with OSU next week and Michigan in a few weeks.
Illinois run game stepped up in a major way today. Chase Brown had a heck of a game. If Illinois had a decent passing game, they could’ve won by 20+.

I didn't really see the game up until OT.
Do you think their offensive woes were a function of PSU looking ahead? Clifford not 100%? Or something more permanent?
Last I saw PSU with a healthy Clifford they were moving it up and down the field on a very good Iowa defense so it's hard for me to buy that they just flat out suck all of a sudden and won't be able to compete vs michigan.
I'm bummed that they lost though because it really takes the win out of the sails for the game vs OSU.

when the ACC is bad enough that it looks like Wake Forest is going to coast, Clemson should be steamrolling even w/ an average team by their standards.

wven tho they are obviously the much better team on film and paper.
One thing I haven’t seen is teams push them vertically. Everyone is trying to outrun them to the sidelines and that is a bad idea.
