when they all went out to dinner and they were doing the whole “… yeah, but when Drew comes back”

he also said this shit.. lmao

Tom Brady to Charlie Weis before 2001 season

"We were just pulling into the golf club and Charlie said, 'Hey, Brady, how come you're not here working out?' after Tommy had spent pretty much six straight months of working out virtually every day. He said, 'Don't worry, Coach. When I get back there, I'm not going back there to back up a 5-11 quarterback."

Does Weis remember Brady making that bold statement?

"I do," Weis told Curran. "He did have that nice way of, you say cockiness, but confidence.

Brady was going to win regardless of the tuck rule. I also heard a segment that implied the Pats tried to put that deflategate shit on Tom and he went to court to clear his name. Might be the real reason he left NE.

no way Bledsoe wasn't getting his job back if Brady had fumbled that playoff game away against the Raiders, funny thing though that was against Gruden and hastened his departure to Tampa

The NFLPA has already petitioned for the release of the entire findings of the investigation into workplace misconduct with That Team in DC.

The NFL maintains that they have no plans to release any further info.

We already know where this is going and why the league is working to protect itself.

Get your popcorn ready.

like on what planet is this a sustainable gameplan when you have a QB w/ a trash arm

Miles Sanders first half carries by game:

Week 1: 6
Week 2: 9
Week 3: 2
Week 4: 5
Week 5: 3
Week 6: 1

like i get its the Bucs but you cant say this is a team specific game plan. Sirianni just doesnt seem to gaf about the run

In response to Reply # 23

it don't matter. Sirianni is straight up tanking this team and jobbing games. this playcalling is bullshit. Gannon is ass.

It's not the personnel. Eagles should be playing to a level of decent mediocrity (see: last year's Miami team) but this playcalling on both sides of the ball is just ass. Giving Boody large space between WRs on defense with hardly any pressure...

...and I'm not even going to talk about the offense. not running the ball is the floor.

they better draft all defense and a power back in later rounds next year.

Dallas is going to shit all over TB in a rematch (watch the seeding prevent this though)

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

stay copping pleas for them. call that shit equal, game is different.

that said, while i love the RPO, in general, you don't call that on every damn play. especially not with such a young team.

you have to call some runs w/ no reads and just block that shit and keep defenses honest. teams can't game the eagles system and stack the box and show pass reads and force them to run 1 running play in a half. come on.

it would be different if this was the first time this season this happened.

peace & blessings,

but this is the kind of stuff they dont want

tackling someone and then standing over them and refusing to move? That seems worse to me but isn’t being enforced.

just felt like the refs last night were doing their best to make sure Tampa wasn’t exposed in their secondary.

i think a lot of us were hoping Fitz would come back and perform a TE type role with the team but that never materialized.

Ertz should be a fantastic fit. Kyler likes to hit short outside routes but Maxx Williams caught a ton of passes up the middle for big gains when the defenses stopped respecting the middle.

and it’s mind blowing. Dolphins receiver goes over the middle, makes a huge catch, despite getting blasted. He holds on and puts them in 1st and goal. Defensive player, despite the fact that he made the catch, stands over him for like 5 seconds and looks down at him…easy flag. Now it’s half the distance and Dolphins score on the next play. Like, notwithstanding the whole taunting rule…wtf are you taunting about? He made moves on you and put his team in position to score, even though you hit him with all you had. He should have gotten up and taunted YOU.

The job is to start the QB who gives you the best opportunity to win,
and it’s not Fields.

Dalton should be playing.

In response to Reply # 0

Safety was playing for a damn Hail Mary. Diggs thought he had help over
the top, so he is playing to cover only 30 yards deep, and to cover the sidelines.
to keep the clock running.

Terrible defensive package

Browns now in the toilet of the AFC North. I don't think they stay there, but...

Baltimore got it, goddammit. So much luck in their first 6. But I can feel that momentum shift.

I don't think either Cincinnati or Pittsburgh rise to the moment. Both teams have huge flaws. With Pittsburgh, it's offense. Defense (outside of the secondary) is straight. TJ Watt POO POOs on the competiton, much like his brother.

But Baltimore? Feels like Lamar is going to have a year not unlike the MVP year. their skill players on offense are ass but ... the luck prevails.

All of these teams getting BUFFALO'D (Steelers thus far are the only team to evade it)

Cowboys taking the NFC East easy.

The thing I'm hoping for is that one of these NFC Teams (even Dallas) get Boody TFO.

NFL officiating is straight bullshit. I see way too much offensive holding on teams with a "featured" QB to let it go. There are a lot of bad calls this year. Saw so many missed/bad ones in the Steelers game, even

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

In response to Reply # 86

Personally, I'm a fan of Rick Spielman. I know his 1st round choices are horrible, but his late round successes kind of make up for it.

I think I've seen you talk about firing Zimmer and I'm actually on board with that. Zimmer's offense is stuck in the past.

And lastly, there's Kirk. I don't know what to make of this. On one hand, I'd love to see what else is out there in the draft. I was hoping we took a shot at Justin Fields this year or stood pat and took Mac Jones. But on the other hand... we might just get stuck with something worse and it's going to be a whole bunch of 5-12 seasons.

I agree with you, I think some changes should be made. I'd just like to hear from another Vikings fan what those changes should be.

In response to Reply # 87

when you have Cook, Jefferson, and Thielen, there needs to be more than this play not to lose system they seem to be running.

Spielman, I can go either way...he hasn't been horrible but investing the type of money they invested in a solid pocket passer but then not creating an O-line that can consistently create a pocket for said passer...I don't know. I like Darrisaw though so maybe there's hope.

As for Kirk, I wasn't a fan when they signed him and I'm not a fan now. Any QB worth a damn should be able to put your team in a position to win against the Lions and Panthers but his big game record is horrendous and I just don't think he has that it factor to lead the team to a Super Bowl.

And, as previously mentioned, why are the Vikings cursed at the kicker position???

If the Vikings are smart they would wait and see if the Packers actually stupidly trade Rodgers at the end of the year and they could have a nice 2 year window to own that division.

They also need to FINALLY FIND A KICKER. How the fuck does this keep happening to them with these kickers. Lmao.

He should be able to easily hit a man on a slant route. He missed
on a throw to Julio Jones, which would have led to a TD.

He has to be better than that.

They definitely should be in the market for Aaron Rodgers next year.

so, I’m definitely not trying to cop pleas. I legit thought his feet did the roadrunner, moving fast and not going anywhere thing, before he got traction. That said, I was watching SportsCenter super early this morning and Jeff Saturday said the Olineman simply lined up in the wrong spot, right before the play and that’s why Simmons was able to fire off like he did and snuff it out. He blamed it on poor execution of the sneak, not a slip.

and not being able to move him.

It looks like he slipped but that was because dude got penetration and Allen couldn’t move him.

QB sneaks are wildly successful on 4th & inches, particularly with large and athletic QB's

https://www.nfl.com/news/cam-newton-now-vaccinated-wants-to-play-football-hell-yeah

why couldn't he have done this in the first place? He might still have a job.

That's why I really think its silly for football players not taking the vaccine. They let those team doctors and trainers shoot them up with way worse shit every week just to play PLUS with all that we know abut CTE for them to refuse a vaccine because they're worried about what it will do to their body is comical.

Now that Cam is out of a job, it is going to be a lot harder for him to get one now, especially now that the season has started. Most teams are just going to go with the backup QB on their roster rather than bring in Cam.
