I feel like, yesterday, the Mets were 5 games up...now, they're 7 back. Lindor has been AWFU this season and Baez hasn't done much besides his first game after the trade.

The Yankees just had their longest win streak since JFK was president...and they could still end up in a 1 game, winner take all, with Boston.

The Giants...what on Earth? Shit, they're good. Quiet good. Somehow, Buster Posey hopped in the DeLorean with Doc and Marty and went back to like 2012...then they added Kris Bryant.

I thought the Braves were going to fade into Bolivia (c) after Acuna went down, but Freddie Freeman is having none of it. Philly is nipping at their heels, though and Bryce Harper is balling.

Houston is Houstoning...and they just got Alex Bregman back from injury.

The Dodgers have the best pitching staff in baseball...even after losing that guy. It's true. They can throw Max/Clayton/Walker/Urias at you. That's fucking tough.

So, the White Sox and the Padres walk into a bar and played a bunch of teams that were below .500. One of them barely broke even, the other is in first place by 10 games. Gotta beat bad teams, man.

The Brewers are beating up on a bad division. Shout out to Joey Votto, though...that team is going to have a shot at an upset to get in and he is a huge reason why. He's literally made the decision to go from On-Base Daddy to Launch Angle Home Run Bro. Dude is that good, that he changed his style to fit the current state of the game.

Tampa really does this baseball shit better than most. That Nelson Cruz pickup was a great look. They're D'Angelo cruisin' in a division where the two teams behind them will prolly win 90 games.

We have 93 wins and 11 games left. But 8 of these games are against the Blue Jays, Cheatin'-Ass Astros and the Yankees. Not an easy way to finish the season but we can do it.

Long term...I hope we can win the World Series and then with all the good feelings that brings, the Rays and the city of Tampa will come to some agreement about moving the stadium from St. Pete to Tampa. And that stupid split plan with Montreal will get trashed.

some great playoff history and many connecting points. I was totally expecting Albert to walk it off, on us and he gave it a go. Honestly cracked a little smile when Joe Kelly got out of that jam. I love Joe, man. Now I can go ahead and root for the Dodgers. Some fun guys on their team. Man, it just stings. So many chances to push runs across. It was time to pull Waino…that was the right move. I was confident with every reliever who came out, except fucking Reyes. I knew he was gonna be some shit in that spot. Yadi coming back for one, last season. In theory it seems like a good tactic. But a change of this size in a game that you would think wouldn't require a major change seems out of left field. Especially when the starting pitching has been superb all series.

But for the game, especially such a well-played game to send on a checked-swing call is anti-climatic. But a bad checked-call swing is heartwrenching.

but it was such a bad call…he clearly checked up. Gabe Kapler was amazingly collected, considering it was right after the game. He said he knows the umps try hard to make the right calls and it’s super tough for the game to end that way, but it’s not why they lost the game.

He's both really, really good at his job, and his weak point is really, really frustrating because he can't seem to get better at it.

He puts Urias in during Game 2 when he didn't need to be in there. And now he has Urias in during the 5th inning after giving up 4 runs.
