But it also absolutely makes sense. As far as I remember - he never really addressed anything about his play, his career, etc. Hell, most people don't even know his speaking voice. He's getting attention now which is probably making it worse, but I 100% understand why he's seemingly 'snapped'. Dude has been the butt of jokes for the last 2 decades, even after retiring and having worse busts come after him.

Jax was a class below all star, some times just below, for a very long time.
Barnes was a solid defensive player, but definitely or of "a guy" than Jax.
Conversely, Kwame was tall, and his biggest contribution was getting paid enough to be used as an expiring deal for the Lakers to land a transformative piece.
But also end of rotation guys do not get nearly as much hate as Kwame has - not even close.
His biggest sin was being drafted first by a dude he also had to play with. Shit, Darko gets less hate than Kwame - and he played less years, made less money, has worse stats, and was drafted before franchise-changing players.

He was a #1, drafted by the GOAT, sent to the leagues premier franchise, played with a top ten legend, and got shipped out as an expiring deal in return for another hall of famer.
There's a laundry list of reasons why Kwame "MAGA" Brown is much more infamously maligned than Darko.
There are also reels of clips of him having really dumb moments. Darko isn't infamous for small hands an inability to catch a ball.
The Pistons aren't the Lakers, by any stretch. If we had drafted Darko, under similar circumstances he'd likely be much more infamous- but still not as much as KMB.

Everything you said is 100.
But the reasons he became a punchline are plentiful, and I think that's a separate discussion from whether or too many people have done too much at his expense for too long.
That's also a separate discussion from the sort of person he's become over the years, the garbage people and ideologies he apparently supports, etc.
It's cool that he's standing up for himself after being the wrong end of a lot of clowning over the years.
But on the other hand...there's a great lesson to be learned here...
I think it was probably better that he remained a #1 overall flop to the public, than the anti-Black Trumpster he's letting slip out in these rants he's been on...
someone else mentioned him blaming Breonna Taylor for her own death before.... but in these recent rants saying stuff like "if you're too stupid to get an ID, don't vote" or "white people are afraid to talk about Black people" or him dismissing other Black men's activism for Black people...

yeah we made a hell of a run. We messed around and hired the right coach to fast track us back to the top. We smashed on the transfer portal this offseason so we should be able to make another run next season.
