This is unexpected. Chris is talented as a basketball analyst, so there has to be
more to this. For this to happen right before the start of the POs doesn’t quite
add up. TNT is going to have to scramble to have analyst coverage for some
of their games.

I know they have Jim Jackson, Reggie, and Grant Hill, but Webber was a main part
of their rotation.

I don’t too much care for Grant Hill, sounds to soft. My favorite is Jim Jackson,
followed by Webber.

That said - not much of a fan of his as a color analyst but I would have LOVED him in the Shaq spot on Inside. Dude is so funny, so smart, and I wish he could have had a better running partner than Marv because C Webb is an excellent TV personality.

As an announcer/analyst/play by play person, apart from long established and iconic legends, i.e, Hearn or Heinshon.

Apart from them and perhaps a very small handful of others, it seems like everyone thinks everyone in the field is hot garbage.

Hubie Brown and Doris probably get most praise here followed by Mark Jackson and Bill Walton.

I think everyone only loves the announcing team they fell in love with when they were first learning the game.

Like some people swear by Snapper Jones, Marv, and Bill Walton. I preferred Heinson and Stockton on CBS cause that's the first crew I liked.

But the announcing teams are very similar from network to network. I like the ESPN teams mostly. Especially Doris and Hubie. And I do like the main team of Breen, M Jax, and Jeff Van Gundy. Not my favorite team of all time but they're not bad.

What I think we don't like about these analysts is that they generally don't talk basketball. From what I know that's by design because casuals don't like X&O talk. *sighs* From what I gather, the teams we like enjoy to expressing their knowledge of strategy and bIQ (basketball IQ).
