"Have you apologized to Russell Westbrook III?"

put some respect on his name. A lot of guys try to get get triple doubles in individual games. To average a triple double for multiple seasons is some video game shit. This was considered an unbreakable record like Wilt averaging 50 points or 100 points in a single game.

If it was just "stat-padding" other people would do it. They can't. Just his assist numbers or rebound numbers for a guard would be historical. To do it all at the same time? Unquestionable first-ballot HOF'er.

Youā€™re prisoners of the moment, and focus on the sensationalized
,and donā€™t put things under a microscope.

Did you look at tonightā€™s stats? Take a deeper look.

Westbrook had 12 rebounds, no other player on his team had more than 5 rebounds.
His center had 3 rebounds and his PF had 3 rebounds. Thatā€™s the stat every night.
And why itā€™s bad being a teammate of Russell Westbrook. As a big man, you will
not be allowed to get rebounds, and itā€™s sad.

In todayā€™s game, players spread out behind the arc mostly, so you really donā€™t
have big men sitting under the basket like in the past. So when a shot goes up,
mostly three pointers, Russ is the only one crashing the boards, and easily
crashing the boards because the big men are not crashing in or sitting under
the basket. The big men are out near the arc guarding centers and PFs who can
hit 3s.

It makes for an easy defensive rebound by Russell Westbrook.

All of Westbrookā€™s rebounds tonight were defensive, which proves my point.
All three rebounds by gafford and Lopez were offensive, which proves my point
even further. It seems thatā€™s the only way the big men can get boards is on
offense, when they are following up on their teammatesā€™ shots..

Other guards donā€™t crash the boards or take rebounds away from their bigs.
Russ looks to crash the boards more than any other guard in history.
I donā€™t think there has been one game where Hachimura, Lopez or Len
led the team in rebounds since Russ arrived.

At one point this season out of 186 qualified players, Russell Westbrook
ranked 184th in Win Shares.

While he gets all the accolades, stats and attention, his teammates fade to the
back and exist as passengers when they should be participants.....which usually
leads to losses. That doesnā€™t sound like a true PG.

There is no denying that. But they donā€™t intentionally take rebounds away from
other players.

Letā€™s say youā€™re a PG, and you see your big men barely getting 2 or 3 boards,
what would you do? The object is to make other players better.

Who has gotten better on the Wizards?

Who got better on the rockets?

Who got better on the thunder.

KD, Carmelo, PG, Obaka, all moved on and evolved.

He pumps his own stats, while the players around him
regress.

Chris Paul goes to teams, and players get better.

OKC won games because of Durant, and lost PO games because
of Westbrook. Thatā€™s why KD bounced and went on to win 2 rings
and possibly get another one this season.

PG bounced, too

Harden bounced as well because he got tired of playing with
Westbrook. And they were close friends before he came to Houston!
Westbrook focked up the relationship between Harden and Houston.

Why does Westbrook have the worst win share stat out all top PGs
in the league as well as history?

How sway?

Stop hyping selfish ass players... we saw the same shit with AI.

Adams has always been an elite offensive rebounder, but his defensive rebounding percentage was curiously subpar playing with Russ, especially during his triple double seasons, during which Russ' defensive rebounding stats suddenly exploded. Then after Russ left, Adams' defensive rebounding percentage suddenly shot up and remains up in New Orleans. it's statistically pretty clear that Russ was taking defensive rebounds away from Adams. To be fair, Adams let it happen and didn't seem to mind. But it definitely happened.

not sure how he evolved after 2016. Heā€™s been a devastatingly efficient, scoring machine for about 12 years, now.

Melo came to OKC as a fully-formed NBA player..the only evolving he did was accept (after the debacle in Houston) that he was at a different stage in his career and embrace itā€¦then flourish.

PG had the best season of his career in 2018 and was 3rd in MVP voting.

ā€œObakaā€, as you call him, has essentially been the same guy since foreverā€¦gradually moving further away from basket. His highest rebound total (those things you say Russ steals from PFs) was in OKC.

Philly gave Jerami Grant up for Ersan Ilyasova. His last season in OKC was his best, to that point. He left as an all-world wing defender/finisher, shooting nearly 40% from three.

Victor Oladipo played one season in OKC and attributed part of his success in his first season in Indy to playing alongside Russ and watching his work ethic and how he approaches the game.

Ibaka won a title. KD won 2 titles. Harden is in a position to win a title,
and has formed into one of the best playmakers in the league.

All players are in a better position to win.

And you still have not explained why Russellā€™s Westbrook has the worst win share
percentage out of all the top PGs in nba history.

And no one has addressed your repeated crowing about win shares because no one cares!! There are multiple guys in the top 20 list, including Russ that donā€™t have titles. Not one person has proclaimed Russ as a player without flaws. Not one.

Extreme dream with no apartment space
You frontin in the fly ride and empty place
With your rent due on the first of the month
Your second month you exit, portrayin to girls
Like you everything in the world
Fuck master, prepare to face disaster as i pass ya
Movin galactica with no capacity
You ain't got enough to buy a small soda in johnny rocket's, be
Posin with baldhead black girls with a florida tan
Tryin to act like you the man
Starstruck with one buck, your girl look like donald duck
Party-figure perpetrator, undercover hater
Smell your cheap cologne in the elevator
Dope you smoke, half of why'all can't never touch the mink coat
With your four carat white gold you look like you're pantomiming
Tryin to rhyme off of unflexible facial bone structure
I crush ya, down to the paso
Like spicy foods burnin through your asshole
Remember i did the damage to your lasso
Then threw your pampers in a manhole; your engineer walked away
With ponytails like annie mae, laughin and talkin the other way
You was the first rapper to pull out grease
And turn your butt the other way
Your girl think you're tough, big buff and rough
{90 percent of these rappers are very soft}
Chorus

I look at your audience and fanbase
Nuttin but a bunch of men tappin each other on the back again
Fools with backpacks tryin to show me they asscrack
Cigarette lighters blowin smoke on my polo shirt
And you're bound to get hurt
With one leg, tryin to walk to work on the mic you rap hard
And overexert, material girls catch diarrhea
Won't make it to my concert
It don't have to be 4th of july for your rectum to see fireworks
While you buy clothes at ross sew in the weaves tryin to floss
Walkin in large restaurants, orderin a small bowl of chicken broth
Water and napkins, you ain't tryin to be a captain
Put down this wack actin skills from movies

And what is his win share stat? You left that out.

And since the all star break, Suns have been the best team in the NBA,
and have the best record.

One player is stat padding, and the other is improving his team and teammates.

Cmon, bro, you know how I roll. Bullshit doesnā€™t get glorified.

I'm not the biggest fan of his, but it's hard to deny him of being on that list.

A top ten point guard listing would make for an entertaining post. I wonder where folks would rank Jason Kidd, Tony Parker, and Gary Payton on that all timer list. Stockton would be another interesting person to list as well; gaudy insane all timer stats, but no ring.

this has been a moribund franchise basically through their entire existence, a laughingstock across the league with really no tradition whatsoever. They're poppin now - not Gilbert Arenas entertaining poppin, like people are paying attention and tuned in. Even when this team loses it's exciting as shit to watch.

We got Maryland and Georgetown here. We got a rack of great high schools. Melo is from Maryland, KD is from Maryland dogg. And I don't say this lightly - no one really gives a shit about the Wizards. Russell Westbrook has changed that.

He's everything these other hoe ass superstars don't want to be - an accountable teammate, ON every play of every night, a legitimate leader. You think Russell Westbrook would take a night off because of, like, his feelings being hurt on Twitter?

He's everything John Wall thought he was. He's not fabricating the chip on his shoulder. He could not care any less about who your "Top 5 PGs" are. He's going to run downhill and trample you and get the board or the bucket and then slit your fucking throat after.

He turns the ball over a lot. WHATEVER. Can you win a championship with him? Not sure. DC will probably never win a basketball championship anyway so who cares? What a chickenshit way to evaluate somebody...deliberately ignore all of this incredible output to singularly focus on one flaw. Boy is that lame.

Those were your words. Youā€™re basically saying who cares about winning?
Cool. Thatā€™s what you appreciate. A guy who runs fast and hard up and down
the court and makes basketball exciting, even though it doesnā€™t lead to championships
or take stats away from other players.

To you he is making the Wizards relevant, cool, more power to you and your
city.

Iā€™ll leave it at that

Both were/are inefficient offensively. However, AI was the better scorer, shooter,
dribbler, and finisher.

Russ is the better rebounder(lol), passer and defender.
Both made/make for bad teammates at times. Both are/were stubborn.

Toughness, I give that to AI. He was shorter and smaller, and he was a former 5 star HS football player......and was more skillful at football than he was at basketball.

I just feel bad for Carmelo Anthony...wasted his time playing with both of them.

Yeah, I said it, god damn it. Peace.

This deserves a separate post.

This has nothing to do with what he does on the court, and vice versa.
This thread is about his basketball.

His contributions off the court as an activist and humanitarian should
be revered and respected, but in no way should it interfere with the criticism
of his basketball play in the NBA.

but I wonder what he's more upset about?

>put some respect on his name. A lot of guys try to get get
>triple doubles in individual games. To average a triple double
>for multiple seasons is some video game shit. This was
>considered an unbreakable record like Wilt averaging 50 points
>or 100 points in a single game.

>If it was just "stat-padding" other people would do it. They
>can't. Just his assist numbers or rebound numbers for a guard
>would be historical. To do it all at the same time?
>Unquestionable first-ballot HOF'er.

play

Game was tight...until Russ intentionally fouled Ben out of frustration on a no call

We put them away from that point on...really felt like a momentum changer

Love Russ. Love the effort. He brings it every night...

...but...Russy the trip dub machine is not winning bball

Would love to see him defer on offense
Brad should get half his FGAs
At this point in his career, if he can realize heā€™s not the guy that should be shooting...he could be a great piece on a winner
If heā€™s convinced heā€™s still got it...heā€™ll stay losing

If you can't understand it without an explanation

you can't understand it with an explanation
