1. "Cavs in 2nd half:"
In response to Reply # 0

man, I was PISSED that the Cavs literally fumbled away a GUILE against the Pacers to half the winning streak. and Garland got hurt during the game. Sexton had 30pts, >10< assists, and a grillion turnovers.

Baron Davis: forever a Cavs legend in my mind, but dude...

The Dan Gilbert stuff is noise in 2021. he don't care, the Cavs don't care, and I suspect this is all folks sticking up for Drummond who has been languishing in inactivity for a couple of weeks now.

I'm torn. In general, I stick up for the players.

I care less about the business than I do the on-court product, which, to be fair, I have enjoyed more with the Sexland + Allen and Co. lineup. Perhaps even more than 2010-14 even though I liked Kyrie and TT a whole bunch. this team looks lost because it's young and trying to find its way in the NBA, rather than being a mismatch of players who don't coexist well (Kyrie + Dion, all the damn forwards not named TT and Varejao, and a bench from hell).

But this is complicated by two things: it wasn't that Drummond wasn't playing well, because on the Cavs, that doesn't get you demoted at all (shout out to Taurean Prince and Cedi Osman). It's because he was actively screwing the flow of offense and playing below his ability relative to earlier in the season. It actually reminds me a bit of Wentz with the Eagles last season in the NFL.

Contrast to Kevin Porter Jr. allegedly a DISASTER off the court. On the court, pure GOLD. The inverse of Drummond. God DAMN I'm mad he was let go for damn near LITERAL dildos just because of that. But...it is a business, and you gotta be professional.

Trade talks:
Now that the Blake buyout is done, and Brooklyn has their 2nd big, the market for Drummond narrows slightly. Still there's some interest. Of all teams, the Bulls make the most sense.

Otto Porter for Drummond swap is the trade most mentioned. If they want to throw some dildos in that trade, I'm good. It'd basically be a Deng sequel.

I really don't care where Drummond goes, even if it's buyout to one of the LA teams, Miami, or whoever else. If the Cavs get anything decent in return, that would be ideal. Expecting dildos tbh.

The Cavs absolutely POSITIVELY need a veteran backup PG. Someone like Delly, who I don't think will be playing at all this season. Satoransky's name has been mentioned in the Bulls talks. It might mean Cedi gets swapped, but in that case I'm good if that is the price. Loss of Cedi memes < functional basketball.

complete FOH for anyone trying to take Nance off the roster though. that dude should be a Cav for life.

As for the rest of the season, really hope to see Kevin Love and Nance back in the lineup ASAP.

Cavs will probably get high 20s of wins at the current pace, which is ahead of expectations; would be about 32 in a regular season (which is still ahead of schedule). More than 19, so I won't be mad.

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

if he really reckons with "obviously i knew the term was bad and about jews, but i didn't realize the gravity and history. this was a word used by family members and I've heard it all my life, but didn't have the exposure to see anyone called out for using it when not in safe company. i am committed to owning my ignorance and how ive hurt my black and jewish friends, peers, employers, and any one else ive never met but have hurt" i could see him maybe overcoming this, maybe, with another team.

but he has to seriously call out himself and whomever else taught him- directly or indirectly- why he was so flippant in his use.

the standing for the anthem plus this...that's a cancer. no team should tolerate that, let alone pay him obscene money.

last summer in MLB you had whole teams getting suspended early in the season and it looked like no way they would get through the season but they did.

Similarly in the NFL you had whole teams being suspended and games postponed but they made it through the playoffs and the SB with minimal incident outside of Cleveland.

With the NBA after finishing in the “bubble” last year this season has seen multiple games cancellations and player suspensions yet somehow thought it was a good idea to bring the best players together in 1 spot for an ASG.

he's an unrestricted free agent this year. there has to be a team out there that could use an extremely efficient and reliable mid-range scorer come playoff time. i like him or buddy hield going to DEN to provide some consistent scoring that doesn't come from jokic. not sure any teams want barton or harris in exchange

focus effort on young talent like dejounte murray and lonnie walker. lose the old guys like LMA and derozan who likely don't fit into SAS long term plans

But all in all these are unnecessary and probably won't sell very well. I don't understand the teams that are going with a gray or monochrome look. So boring.

Also the idea of a jersey being "earned" by a playoff berth is kinda funny when a team like the Thunder turns around and tanks the following season.

he can hit an open three in the corner, can play defense, and plays hard every play (when properly motivated; he's not wasting energy diving for loose balls on this go-nowhere HOU squad)

i hope he goes to BKN. he has the d'antoni x harden connection and the texas connection with durant. they probably don't *need* him because bruce brown is doing all the hustle stuff and griffin is ostensibly capable of providing similar post defense. he's likely a better fit somewhere else. hopefully he ends up with a team that will make the most of his talents on the way to a conference finals

And Cleveland gave him up for a second rounder. I was begging

Houston is going to build around him and Wood.

that dude can play both sides of the ball like a god.

Baby James Harden with better athleticism. And the Cavs kicked the kid out of his locker

..He clearly shows that potential at times, but tends to get lost when sharing the floor with Bron & AD.

When he's active on the break and uses his size and skill set to his advantage, there aren't many players that can slow him down.

We'll see how he adjusts when Davis returns to the line up.

Just go up strong with the ball.

The Knicks had a lot of calls go their way at the end of that game, they couldn’t expect to get them all.

The knicks had to review a clear jump ball o the previous possession. If not for that, they coulda reviewed the final call.

Might be moot, refs stood by the call

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

No one knows how to play it. It’s terrible.

The defensive stopper is a thing of the past.

Philly, Jazz, Lakers and Heat are the only ones who really
play defense....You can throw the Knicks in there.

The Scottie Pippens, Shane Battiers, Michael Coopers...are dead.

Whole Indiana squad was bunny hopping trying to guard Harden.
I didn’t see one player get into a true defensive stance or properly
move side to side to cut off penetration.

The bright spot of winning a title during Covid is that I’m ultra appreciative and happy and don’t ultimately care what happens this year...but this sucks.

We’ll see what happens.

No Simmons. No Embid.

Harris destroyed a fully loaded Sac squad.

Milton and Green did their thing too.

Gotta love this philly squad. Happy for Doc.

Rockets lose their 20th straight. Stephen Silas didn’t sign up for this...
