Lou is now in full regular season form. I know his defense sucks.
But he is by far the clippers’ best playmaker.

Dude had 30 and 10 dimes, and everybody ate with no Kawhi or Paul George.

Seeding is seemingly less important this year. And definitely for AD's health, of course. Look - I'd hate to waste an MVP level Bron year but I think they can make the playoffs with a 21-7 record nearly halfway through the season. But if they can't - then make sure AD is healthy and don't jeopardize his career.

Thaddeus MF Young

He was all over the court, offense, defense. He should have had a triple double.
He is truly MVP of the Bulls. He is the best defender, best facilitator...He is the anchor
on both sides.

Props to Lavine for showing his best defense of the season, and hitting the 3 to ice
the game. But even he knows who gets it going for the team.

“Thad (Young) has been, for me personally, the MVP of the team," LaVine said.

Come again?

"He does a little bit of everything," LaVine said. "He can damn near average a triple-double. He makes up for our mistakes defensively, guards some of the best big men every night. Even if he's undersized, he knows how to play tricks with them. He has been great for us. (Monday night), he showed that again with crucial plays -- getting charges and rebounds, being physical. He's the type of guy you love to have on your team."

Good win for the Bulls tonight. Let’s keep it going.

Big win for sure.

Young balled out. The combination of WCJ being back and Gafford not getting minutes definitely helped too.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

And a defensive anchor anywhere close to AD?

And because you're so prone to being an idiot, I'll help:

I'm talking about TODAY, so the ghost of Marc Gasol does not count.

Kuz can step it up, but he's no AD.

Stop.

If you genuinely believe that this is a championship squad without AD, or someone comparable, you're a far bigger idiot than any of us previously thought.

20 points per game.

Gasol was seen as a huge upgrade defensively from you lakers fan...even
when I pointed out the he has regressed every season for the past five years.

Kuzma is a champion and has taken a step up.

And Marcus Morris is a 3 and D guy.

Y’all were screaming about having a lineup of death

>20 points per game.

Not this year, lol. WTF are you watching?
You're not even looking at stats for this season.

But again- excellent role player.

Not an all star.

But this is a joke, right? It has to be. Especially considering what follows.

>Gasol was seen as a huge upgrade defensively from you lakers
>fan...even
>when I pointed out the he has regressed every season for the
>past five years.

Name all the people who called him a "huge upgrade".

I'm on record as wanting Dwight, and seeing Marc as a decent consolation prize. So far, he's not even that,

Further, what people may or may have thought when we got him is 100% immaterial to what he's actually shown on the floor.

>Kuzma is a champion and has taken a step up.

"Kuzma is a champion".

So is JR Smith. Shit, I think Isiah Rider has a ring with the Lakers. We should go get him if that's the case.

Judd Buchler was a three time NBA champion. Does that make him an all star caliber player?

Does being on last years title team make him the #2 man on this (potential) title team?

By that definition, we should resign Kareem. He's got FIVE titles. Sure, he's old as fuck, but by L-Stah standards, that's sufficient.

And step up to what? A utility guy who can be plugged into multiple roles, depending on the situation, and have a scoring eruption once in awhile?

That's great.

That's what every title team needs.

That's also called a role player.

>And Marcus Morris is a 3 and D guy.

"A 3 and D guy".

I ask if that's an all star, and you said... a 3 and D guy.

Take Gobert of the Jazz, and replace him with MM, and let's talk.

>Y’all were screaming about having a lineup of death

..... a lineup that includes a top five, two-way big that's now out for the next few weeks.

>But go get your man more HALP..,,go get all the top FAs
>
>Cause lebron needs HALP.

No, you need help.

Are you really this stupid?
Because everything you've said so far is absurdly stupid.

Not in an insulting, snarky way. But real deal, holy shit, you can't possibly be serious, wtf, you must be trolling level stupidity

Jokes and snark aside, this is just Agenda Wars talking, right?

Because, to my question of which of these four guys, you made four increasingly idiotic comments that reads like parody.

When the Heat lost 2 of their top 3 players in the championship,YOU
said that ain’t the lakers fault that they are healthy...That’s Part of winning is staying
healthy.

And Jimmy Butler still gave y’all the business with his depleted lineup,
and said he still had enough to beat the lakers.

Not the leagues fault that y’all not healthy...

You got Dennis who avg 20 points a game with okc. You got
Harrell who avg 20 points a game with the clippers. Plus Lebron
.That’s three players who have the ability to avg 20 plus. Plus Morris and
and Kuzma who avg. double digits. ..and you got Horton who can score

Heat had the same type of make up and got to the finals.

Lebron/Harrell/Dennis/Morris/Kuzma are equivalent to
Jimmy/bam/hierro/dragic/Robinson.....stats don’t lie.

Jimmy didn’t get more HALP ...but I guess Lebron needs more HALP.
Not the Heat’s fault they Spoelstra can get to the finals with G leaguers.

Go get your mans more HALP.

Agreed.

Please explain what this has to do with anything I've said?

We don't have enough to win a chip as is, without AD. The end.

Show me where I'm saying it's anyone's "fault" that the Lakers aren't a title team without AD?

Do you see me handing out preemptive asterisks for Brooklyn or whoever?

I've recognized that, sans an upgrade somewhere, this squad isn't going all the way without AD. That's just reality.

>And Jimmy Butler still gave y’all the business with his
>depleted lineup,
>and said he still had enough to beat the lakers.

Where did I say that?

>Not the leagues fault that y’all not healthy...

Again with this weird "fault" nonsense. Who is blaming anyone for anything? How is that even a talking point here?

>You got Dennis who avg 20 points a game with okc.

He had CP3, Gallo, SGA, Steven Adams. How did that team do last year?

You got
>Harrell who avg 20 points a game with the clippers.

How did the Clippers do last year?

Why do you keep referencing last year, and not this year?

Everything you've said is completely nonsensical.

Why are you ignoring the fact that these guys aren't replacements for AD, but are instead complimentary pieces around him?

They make for a great supporting cast. That doesn't make them chip material on a team missing it's defensive centerpiece, as well as it's second best- on many nights best- offensive player.

>Heat had the same type of make up and got to the finals.

Did they win?
Because they didn't. They didn't win.
And neither will we, with that roster.

>Lebron/Harrell/Dennis/Morris/Kuzma are equivalent to
>Jimmy/bam/hierro/dragic/Robinson.....stats don’t lie.

Did they win?
Because they didn't.

>Jimmy didn’t get more HALP.

He damn sure needed it, lol, and likely still does- and everything you've said has made that case. Especially with the east having three other legit contenders.

But they have a shot.

Guess what happens if Bam goes down?
They no longer have that shot, absent a miracle run.

...but I guess Lebron needs more
>HALP.
>Not the Heat’s fault they Spoelstra can get to the finals
>with G leaguers.

Again with "fault". Nobody is assigning anyone any fault.

You don't argue from a place of reason or rationality.

At this point I just have to assume you're playing a character.

Based on their lineup they are overachieving.....
Based on the Heats lineup they overachieved last year.

Based on the lakers lineup, they are underachieving.

Jazz’ starting lineup is right now is

Ingles/Mitchell/Bogs/Royce/Gobert....repeat that lineup to yourself.

Lebron/Dennis/Morris/Kuz/Harrell can’t match?

Stop making excuse....

Lakers went out and got top FAs in the market....

Heat got to the finals with G leaguers...

So basically lakers players are overrated.

Stop making excuses or get your Mans more HALP ...go cherry pick

Ainge and Brad are the top of that.

3 our of 4 ECF's doesn't do shit if you don't have AT LEAST a finals appearance to back it up. It's like the mid-2000's Suns without a revolutionizing offense or an MVP.

They've had, what, a billion assets they haven't done anything with? They have nice young players who might just be what they are at this point - and will always just be the 2nd or 3rd best team in the East. Nothing to be ashamed of - but the fact that Hayward, the prize FA addition, was injured and bad and now looks like an all star again? That's an indictment on their whole franchise.

They really needed to beat Miami last year to make up for all the hyperbole around this team - because right today? They're just the "what if" squad.

>really, the issue with the Celtics is Danny Ainge.

But as I’ve said before this season is on Ainge. It was his job to find someone to replace Hayward’s production and find adequate backups at Center and PG. He didn’t do the former and picked bad choices for the latter.

>Both Hayward and Rozier looking good on the Hornets now

The Hayward and Rozier takes are VERY revisionist. EVERYONE clowned the Hayward deal, including myself, but I don’t think he’d be balling like this on a real contender and his presence takes minutes away from Brown and Tatum. Also it’s not a surprise to see him look good in year 1 of this deal, but come back to me in year 3 or 4 when they’re desperately trying to trade the guy. Again, it was Ainge’s job to replace his production. Stevens could create better rotations I suppose, but it’s difficult to invent that production out of thin air.

I’ll always love and root for Terry, but it was basically a choice between keeping him or Smart and they made the right choice. I don’t think he’d be a good fit here long-term and he was awful last season. Him and LaMelo are gelling though and I’m really happy for him.

The only thing people could remotely criticize here is Ainge letting Hayward simply walk for nothing... but what was he to do last season? Trade him in a year where the Celtics had a real shot at a Finals run? That would've been a tough-ass call to make. But you can't re-sign Hayward for the type of money Charlotte offered, and you absolutely couldn't re-sign Rozier, who was really bad until this season Melo took over and made his life a lot simpler.

That said, this is also just part of the territory. Getting rid of guys who then ball elsewhere means lots of revisionist history.

But yeah, as you said, a lot of this is on Ainge. Tristan Thompson is a net negative player this year. Jeff Teague is a net negative player. None of the draft picks of the last three years have really popped in the sort of way this team needs (Robert Williams is the most intriguing, but he's behind Tristan in the rotation for some reason).

And, if we're being honest, they probably need to look to deal Kemba either this year or in the offseason and look for a real solution at PG before Brown and Tatum's deals expire in a few years, because Walker just isn't giving value for the money he's being paid. Shooting 36% from the field, sub-2 A:T ratio, negative BPM, especially on the defensive end-- he's just not gonna get it done against the Sixers, the Nets, the Bucks.

Bad look for the Heat considering they had Steph playing like shit with no Braymond or Wiseman.

Next season, prepare for the return of Full Bullshit with the Warriors, and this time, it won't be due to free agency.

I got them at the 5 with everyone they can get back. If Oubre stops his Naruto act, and Wiggins continues to Wigg his way into a Classic Warriors rotation piece... they got Steph and Draymond. Things could get interesting. They could leap over the Suns, possibly, who are banging it out big time.

Bazemore was a quality pickup for them, reminds me of Livingston without the height but with the contribution.

Now do I think they beat full Lakers or even Clippers in a series? Not convinced yet. But you never know the levels of Steph when he has the horseshoe on tilt.

The team that I think is most surprising is Portland.

I think the Nuggets will rebound. Jokic is GOAT-ed this season, LOL

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

Portland is sitting at a four seed with no McCollum or Nurkic and Melo as their third option. That is crazy in the West.

Dame ain't gonna win MVP, but only Jokic and Bron should be in the conversation with him.

out west that's clearly better than them.

I had Denver and dallas above em going into the season but that about it. People really forgot how good steph curry is smh

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Coach runs zero plays for a 90-50-40 guy.
No plays for Middleton.

Same no movement offense.

its simple as that, and Jrue ain't on the court to make up for that.

If Giannis studied James Worthy.....that would be a beautiful thing, but he is stuck with these guys that want him to be a three point shooter...he doesn't need that right now. Handles and get that little midrange jumper on the elbows and from the foul line in.....muhphucka is 7 feet with Reed Richards wingspan and first step....who gonna stop him?

Tough stretch, but should be a solid opportunity to see what this roster/Vogel is really made of.

79. "Yeah, makes sense. They are in official rebuild mode."
In response to Reply # 77

They are one of the worst teams in the league and Woods and Victor are both
out injured. The season is a wrap. Tucker, Cousins, Wall and Gordon are not in the Rockets’ long term plans.

Oladipo, who is on the last year of his contract, Tucker and Gordon will
probably get traded before the deadline.

Christian Wood will be their center piece and build around that.

Let the fire sale begin.

78. "NBA should be focking shot."
In response to Reply # 0

They continue do this crap. Curry was scratched right at tip off.
Talking about he wasn’t feeling well. Then t should have been reported but
It wasn’t.

NBA knows people wait Until the lineups come out to make bets or do fantasy.
It should have been reported that he was questionable. Nothing is wrong with him.

This is the only sport that does that crap.

Football gives constant updates on players, same thing with baseball and hockey,
and soccer. There lineups are always in way ahead of game starts

Just constant before tipoff scratches out of nowhere.

Glad I only played fantasy and didn’t bet.
