I’m still in ultimate football and soccer mode. I will watch maybe a few games until the end of football and get fully immersed then.

I got a feeling there will be a surprise champion this year...there were tons of roster moves.

My bulls should be able to fight for a play in game. Things are on the up and up.

Irving-Dimwiddie-Harris-Durant-Jordan.

On paper, Perimeter goes to GS, interior goes to Brooklyn.

Just get me fantasy points.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

without Harden, fuck a trade lol

they basically demoted their starters to 2nd unit and can switch out scorers if they want.

that's wild.

He can put it on the floor like a guard. He post up, shoot. Hit free throws.

I like his body language. His first night, so he is a little sloppy. But I can tell
he is the real deal.

you can feel the awakwardness with marv when he says some of this stuff.

bringing this up now due to the 12 minutes of "garbagio" time ©CWebb

no idea how TNT considers him a-team material.

with that being said, he seems like a good dude and would probably be a solid guy to have a drink with. but in the booth? as part of the premier commentating team for a major network? i think there are better options out there.

And 1.
A lot of his comments are after a particular play and "telling us" what a player's mindset was. I think he decided that because he's a former player it would sound good to put us inside a player's mind but the way he says it- yeah it's corny.

And sometimes I be like "Chris none of us watching were wondering nothing you just said.

to be the same. So easy to get inside on the lakers now.

And gasol looks even slower this year. He has three fouls already. I know this is the first game of the season, but I just don’t see where the rim protection is going to come from.

Without McGee and Howard, team are going to attack instead of settling for jumpers,
Which the lakers forced teams to do last season.

I imagine they will run a lot of zone in certain situations.

Clippers bench has gotten weaker. I know they got Lou, but other than that
It’s going to be interesting to see how they get bench points.

Gasol is going to mess around and foul out.

Clippers really think Batum is going to be good?

Just finished up two months ago, incredibly short offseason and hardly any actual preseason games to work these new guys in.

But yeah....as a fan, that was not an enjoyable viewing experience, lol. If I had to work today, I would’ve gone to bed at halftime without a care in the world of who won.

This season is going to be weird as hell. Still better than nothing though.

LOL @ Oubrey's determination to yam on er'ybody.

Great to see the Lakers pay tribute to legacy & legends (RIP Kobe & Gigi) with the rings. Class act to include Cousins.

Vogel still tweaking the rotation, but the Lakers have quite a bit of work to do. No excuses, everyone's coming for the Champs.

Clippers look relaxed and well rested. Solid poise and plenty of hustle.

you got a 2-time MVP and you can't coach around his weaknesses? All I'm saying is when people discuss Giannis and the Bucks struggles the coach hardly ever comes up

in the sense that it seems like that's something that could flare up at any moment. The unfortunate thing is that it wasn't even that obvious watching the game last night when the contact occurred for him to get hurt like that.

So unfortunate and sad that the Knicks point guard situation is so pitiful. It's a crying shame Dennis Smith Jr. is pretty much a shell of himself at this point. If I'm not mistaken, I think he suffered a back injury a season or two ago. He hasn't been the same since.

They’re definitely not doing the same thing for all these games, as far as the sound goes. Maybe it’s the games where the commentators aren’t actually there, where all the sounds of the game are basically muted? These Christmas games sound mostly normal.

58. "So the Cavs are in that weird place"
In response to Reply # 0

where I know they're not going to be a playoff team, but they're definitely not going to tank.

That was an asswhooping of the Hornets that only got close in the 4th quarter because the Cavs got real sloppy with it.

Collin Sexton is improving in ways I'd always hoped. Being dominant with and without the ball, and because of that last part, he still almost got out of there with 30. Had a few minutes of SexLand going on and it wasn't a total debacle. Some KEY dimes, including one to Garland for 3 which put the Hornets further back.

Garland is getting there:

Okoro is great. Immediately, the effect on defense is felt. Absolutely the best defender from the wing.

JaVale was a great pickup. And actually, Drummond just needs to watch what he's doing and do that, instead of dribbling and trying to be something he's not. Just be BIG and pass that ball and defend and rebound. Tristan did that for us for years and he's not even really a BIG big.

Scary Terry dropped 42 on the Cavs because they basically left him open from 3.

Here were the numbers from notables.
Sexton: 27pts/5ast/2reb
Garland: 22pts/6ast/6reb
Nance: 13pts/8ast/13reb
Okoro: 11pts/5ast/3reb
Drummond: 14pts/4ast/14reb
McGee: 13pts/1ast/7reb (19 minutes from the bench)
Osman: 11pts/2ast/4reb (18 minutes from the bench)

altogether the team had over 30 assists which is amazing given the last two seasons.

Nance was so good tonight, it had to be seen to be believed.

Thanks again, Lakers!

This team is now at "Bad, But Good" stage sort of like ATL was after the Trae draft. If Sexton can get almost 30 without needing to dominate the ball? Well, shit.

And Kevin Love and KPJ are yet to play....

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.
