That story touched my heart. It really did.

realize he only played 20 games in the NBA. I just remember hearing about him then watching that Providence game in the NCAA tourney against eventual national champion Arizona and he shook Michael Dickerson out his shoes and at the time Dickerson was getting baby Jordan comparisons. He did the “Shammgod” then went to the bucket and missed the layup but I was still in awe, I had never seen anybody do anything like that in a regulation basketball game

This was one of the best sports-related reads I've made in a while. I wasn't interested at first because he wasn't a sports idol of mine, but he's almost like Kevin Bacon or Forrest Gump. He's been at the center of a lot of random but memorable moments in history.
