"Joakim Noah appreciation post."

Apparently he's headed towards retirement. Which is kinda sad seeing how Cristiano Felicio is the Bulls third string center at the moment. Cristiano is not good at basketball.

Jo transformed his game from a tall guy who was great at out hustling people and playing defense to one of the better point centers the league has seen. He also gave insightful interviews instead of the standard robo-athlete speak. Elite shit talker as well. One of the least "basic" individuals in league history.

Noah’s 2013-14:
12.6 PPG, 11.3 RPG, 5.4 APG, 1.5 BPG, 1.2 SPG, 4th in MVP voting and won DPOY

A few choice highlights. Not gonna lie, this was a very enjoyable period in young Random's life...

Maybe 2nd to the Bulls landing the #1 pick,
Noah and Thibs were the next best thing about the Bulls in the mid 00s.

Noah, Butler, Gibson, Deng.
That was fun basketball to watch.

He was an amazing passer, especially in the paint.
At the peak of his career, he was one of the best running big men in the game.
The Bulls really watched him develop from this scrawny kid from NY,
to a defensive powerhouse.
Both Noah and Butler developed into solid NBA players under that coaching staff.

And while both Derrick Rose and Ben Gordon were the stars of that 2008 series against the Celtics,
I'll mostly remember Joakim Noah's play.

ALSO, being a NY guy, he LOVED Chicago. Fully embraced the city.
Oh, that and the fact that he didn't like LeBron.
