Wilt’s scoring titles came in the late 50s and 60s, way before the merger with the ABA, and during a time when he was basically the tallest player in the league. When Kareem came, wilt didn’t win a single scoring title.
A center’s ability to score will always be less impressive than a perimeter players ability to score. Kareem being the exception. Kareem was more dynamic.
However, Wilt is top 10.and slightly outside the top 5....just not as impressive as the players I mentioned.
Dantley was freaking 6’4 having FG percentages like a Center.
7. "The focus here is on great offensive ability as a scorer " In response to Reply # 5 Thu Oct-08-20 09:51 AM by allStah
inside out. When people do lists on great offensive players it’s a list that focuses on MORE on scorers or scoring.
It’s like how people say Harden or KD are the greatest offensive players of this era...they are talking about their scoring ability, because harden doesn’t really pass the ball ( even though he has good assist stats). His assists are bail out assists.
