is that the 2 wrong letters there ARE right next to the correct letters in Nuggets its not like he tweeted about the Portland Trailni**ers or something IDK, im kiiiind of inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt here - he has nothing racist in his history, and tweeting that out RIGHT NOW of all times would be like the biggest self own in history if it was on purpose.
that said - what a cursed position. the last kid who got the job after the announcer of like 30 years retired - he was quietly and unceremoniously fired last year with no explanation given. I've been morbidly curious wtf he did, but hornets radio PBP announcer is so far down the "celebrity" food chain that no media has ever looked into it (or at least reported on it)

like, let's say he accidentally typed to the right of U, then got both Gs accurately, then typed to the left of T, and then typed everything else correctly. the odds of mistyping one of the letters in the word? sure, totally fair. both, in either direction? way less likely. and those being the only two typing errors in the entire tweet? waaaaaaaaaaay less likely.
it was an auto-correct. and he's texted the word before. a number of times, almost certainly.

on a regular keyboard - yes, your hands would have to be out of position to hit two wrong letters, and you'd likely garble the whole word
texting on my phone? two wrong letters in a word is not an uncommon occurrence for me. Like at all
that said - im also not a professional journalist who has an obligation to proofread anything i put out in the world - so that's not even an excuse. But I still just don't buy that this basketball reporter got on twitter and decided to call an entire basketball team ni**ers.

Right, but having it be in just one word, with all of the rest of the text correct? and it's *those* two letters? cmon.

so I guess it goes back to the above debate of whether it's possible to write an entire tweet correctly except the worst two possible letters, or if it's more likely that it was autocorrect. I obviously believe the latter is true.

I can buy that he mistyped one and it autocorrected to the N-word. But then he's lying about having never used that word.
But if he mistyped two? And the two of the 83 were *those* two? And of the five keys attached to the U and to the T, the mistypes were both to *those* other two letters? Then he's the unluckiest son of a bitch on the planet.
