...of crowds, which is an even bigger recipe for disaster.
I don't even know how the NFL could even get a bubble to work. 'Cause like you said, each team's roster and staff is pretty fucking huge. Like, let's conservatively say that each of the 32 teams needs 100 people. How the fuck are they going to effectively bubble off 3,200 people? Anyone who thinks that shit is going to hold is fucking cracked.

8 teams in 4 spots across the county. just say these are your divisions for the year. 14 game season, everybody plays each other twice.
top 2-4 in each division make the playoffs. have 1 or 2 bubble playoff bubble sites dependinng on if you let 8 or 16 teams in. then super bowl
but yeah the sheer number of folks in the operation of a football team make it impossible logistically. what do you do for practice? medical work/rehab? workouts?
way more difficult than anything the NBA MLS or NHL had to consider.

If I were the NFL I would look at chartering some cruise ships and put two teams up in each ship. Dock the ships in the Seattle, Bay Area, LA, NY/NJ, Boston, Baltimore, Tampa/Jacksonville, NO, and Galveston/Houston.
I would basically consolidate the NFL back into their old 3 league formats of AFC/NFC West, Central, and East. Put all the West teams on the west coast to play in Seattle, LA and Bay Area. East teams would play on the east coast in Boston, NY/NJ and Baltimore. Central would play out of the gulf coast in NO, Tampa/Jacksonville and Galveston/Houston.
A lot of these cruise ships have the facilities a team needs and you don’t have to worry about players catching the virus from the staff since the staff lives on the ship.
This also eliminate air travel since the ships can move up and down the coast.

we're seeing it with baseball.
asking a team to fly around *this* country for three months or whatever is irresponsible and quite literally puts players lives at risk. Too many variables go into travel. It worked in Europe with the Premier League/La Liga/Serie A but the infection rates there were largely under control when they resumed play. Also, Europeans are generally more responsible when it comes to thinking about the collective over the individual.
Seems like the MLB and NFL are doing the bare minimum and essentially throwing their product out there, making money, and hoping for the best without a sincere vested interest in player health.
"We expected we were going to have positives at some point in time." Manfred told Sports Illustrated and the MLB Network's Tom Verducci on Monday night.
^ Has Adam Silver ever said they expect to see positive results IN the bubble? Pretty sure he hasn't.

The lack of perspective and logical precaution is especially #onbrand.
The more I think of it, the more I wonder how the nfl will even make it to and through September with their current plan in place. It just reeks of ‘hope Covid goes away so we can get this money’. If more major offensive players start opting out, it’s curtains.
And what’s with people being eager to go to the games as fans and risk their shit too? I’m blown away. And it’s a great note to self that maybe I don’t love sports as much as I thought I did. Cuz I’d rather them cancel this shit altogether than to look up two months from now and see a Larry Fitzgerald or somebody get sick and die fucking around with football.
When I hear some folks pushing against all logic hoping for these sports to start, it drills/nails/super glues/plasters home my thoughts that the average bro sports watcher gives zero fucks about these players as earthlings.
