Some of the songs were the actual songs they used as theme songs win they were winning during that era

When the bulls won 50 games under Doug Collins, and the first for Mike, Kool Moe Dee had one of the illest albums out at the time. Wild Wild West,How You like me now, etc were songs constantly played when local stations showed the bulls. So when the bulls won 50 games, they played Kool Moe Dee’s “50 ways” .

My only beef is that cool j’s I’m bad and rakim’s I ain’t no joke came out in 87. Jordan dropped 63 on the Celtics in 86. They should have used Just Ice’s “ Cold getting dumb” for that, because it was huge in 86 and it meant going off. Or they should have used Run Dmc’s “King Of Rock “which dropped in 85. The Kool Moe dee stuff was on point though.

But all the music does fit. It’s just that as a hip hop head, you go wait that wasn’t out then, since it’s a timeline piece.

However I didn’t like prince’s Partyman inclusion. Hell, how did they even get that cleared?? I can’t recall ever hearing a prince track in a doc, a movie or tv show.

It’s wasn’t wack. I was expecting something more powerful, since 87/88 was such a huge year for hip hop, and that was jordan’s Breakout season.

I hate to be that guy, but the Batman movie came out in 1989 as well as the soundtrack. I know it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things, but goddamnit, use the music that was actually out during the time that is being covered
