"Do you guys ever just...forget about KD's Achilles?"
I truly don't mean for this to be a bummer or a slight in any way - because I think of most people - his is the game most likely to be okay post-Achilles.
But so much has happened in the league, I just kind of...forget about it?
Like, since his injury...
- The Raptors won - Durant and Kyrie left and teamed up with each other - Kawhi left and teamed up with PG - AD got traded to the Lakers - Russ was traded for CP3 - GS signed DLo and then traded him - Zion was drafted, injured, and came back looking otherworldy - David Stern died - Kobe died
Thats just the major stuff. It feels so weird to know the league has changed so much, and yet I personally just keep forgetting about KD. His run with the Warriors was equal parts incredible and enigmatic and now here we are.
I had totally forgotten til I saw the video a couple weeks ago of him running and shooting. It never even, for once, crossed my mind that he wouldn't be back splashing jumpers in Oct. of '21.
