"NBA Games 2.24-2.29.20 : is Tatum the best player out of duke?"
Mon Feb-24-20 02:26 PM by allStah

I think he is. What’s the competition: Kyrie, Luol, Battier, Hill

Grant Hill, what could have been, of course. But other than that, Tatum is on another level. Abused the entire lakers squad at the age of 21.

Anyway, the EAST is in the house. Always.

Kyrie? Lol

Kyrie was not leading a team to contention at 21. Kyrie ain’t even doing this now. Not a leader , doesn’t make other players better, and DOES NOT PLAY DEFENSE.

Tatum is an All AROUND elite player at 21.

Lol Kyrie.

Tatum was drafted into an elite team.

Yes, he's great. But let's not act like it was an even playing field.

Ingram's way better than you're giving him credit for too but that's another discussion.

And what happened last year when Kyrie got his own team of talented players?

And this year when the team plays better without him? Kyrie is not a leader. You know this.

I like Ingram , but Ingram is not all around or as polished as tatum. Tatum is an all star and trying to lead a team to at title at 21.

Tatum has arrived

Tatum and Ingram have a shot to pass him.

Kyrie still does too, but he’s running into a lot of injury problems too that are holding him back.

Tatum is way more polished than Ingram, and an all around player with great defense.

Kyrie does not play both sides of the ball, and lacks efficiency. Tatum is way more efficient and all around. Tatum is damn near un-guardable

We talking possible Kawhi level here in a few years.

I think Ingram’s ceiling is comparable to Tatum’s.

I don’t think either one is touching prime Hill right now....as they shouldn’t be. They’re still really young and developing.

I can agree with that.

I still think Tatum has the better motor as far as energy and aggressiveness compared to Ingram.

Lakers were throwing triple teams at that dude, and he was just cutting them up.

I don’t know. Jason Tatum is 21 years old and is damn near unstoppable. Plus he made the all star team at 21, and plays defense.

Ingram is not good defensively, Kyrie has never played defense in his life. Zion is there as well, but other than dunking and in the post, nothing else.

Tatum has it all. Efficiency, defense, mid range, three point shooting, won the skills challenged ( pg ability). Career 46 percent shooter. 39 percent 3 point shooter at 21.

Of course Grant Hill, what could have been, but right now?

Tatum looks like headed to Kawhi status.

He fails to understand that. Teams are going to let him shoot, because he is not going to get other involved.

Bulls got off last night with teamwork, Coby, Lavine, young and sato got off, while Beal tried do everything himself.

Middleton lead the Bucks tonight. Giannis only played 25 mins because of foul trouble.

blew out this same Cavs team (which only added Kevin Love back) by damn near 30 (ended up being like 12-15) just a couple days before.

The Cavs worked their ass off for that win, especially Porter, Nance, and Garland.

I think the Heat are still miles ahead of the garbage team without those two, when they get going. They were shooting like 70% in the first half, looking like the Sunshine State Warriors with Bam playing the role of Donkeylips. fuckin KELLY OLYNYK was out here looking like David West.

add Herro and Butler and this team is pure bullshit. Maybe not good enough to beat the Bucks or Raptors. But a problem possibly for Boston, Indiana, and sadly.. the Sixers

I don't think they should have traded Justise but Nunn being good, Robinson being real good (at shooting), and Bam being (IMO) on the cusp of stardom they cut and ran.

Now Iggy? Yeah, he don't add nothing to this team. Heat were due for a fleece, they did well enough outside of that

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

Loving Wade and Parker. Good observation, some jokes, but still more analysis based. Shaq is more tamed when he is with this group.

Bucks have no weaknesses. In order to beat them you have to hit threes in every quarter. They don’t give up points in the paint.

Athleticism. 3 point shooting. Defense. Passing. Efficiency.

Toronto and Miami play those gimmicky ass zone defenses. Put a wall up against Giannis and he is just going to pass to one of the shooters.

And you’re not going to efficiently out shoot the bucks.

Hill was still at Duke at the age of 21!

Tatum is leading a contender. And last night? Shitted all over Portland

Tatum ain’t waiting 6 years. His passing everybody right now.

I was there. I watched grant hill play in his filas.

In grant’s first five years, he avg 21 a game, and didn’t avg more than that until his 6th year . He avg 25 a game that year.

Tatum is in his third year already avg 23 a game, leaping from 16 a game, and leading a contender.

Hills 6 years in Detroit and the pistons were never a contender. He gets traded to Orlando for Atkins and Wallace and the pistons championship run starts from there.

And Tatum is a way better defender, being one of the best defensive forwards in the league. He will be on that second all defensive team. Grant Hill never made a defensive team or was considered a great defender.

Tatum is the better 21 year old and his ceiling and trajectory is a lot higher.

he was tryna get scrubs involved.

hit me when jayson is averaging nearly 7 dimes per. in today's game, with his usage...HE SHOULD.

y'all never account for eras...i only care about skillsets. grant was way more athletic, had a better handle, better defense and better finisher. jayson only has a shot over him.

so, hill was supposed to make a detroit a "contender" with terry milles and theo ratliff next to him? that's dumber than you niggas thinking kyrie was supposed to take earl clark and alonzo gee to the playoffs.

amazing how fuckin stupid y'all are. but here y'all are bussin it wide open to praise trae young and that lil muhfucka ain't going to the playoffs with ALL THOSE LOTTERY PICKS for a good lil while. i know i know...it's "different"

Better defense? You are straight bugging.

Grant Hill never made a defensive team or was known for his defense. Tatum has avg 1 block a game in 8 straight games. There is only one player who did that this year. Rudy Gobert, a center and defensive player of the year. Grant Hill didn’t guard centers or big PF like Tatum. We saw Tatum guard lebron and Davis. Brown too.

Better shooter?

Hill avg 47pct fg in his first three years. Tatum is pretty much at that with 46 pct. Hill shot 31 percent from three. Tatum is shooting 40 percent from three.

Ball handler? Tatum beat out all the guards in the skill challenge, Hill avg close to 4 turnovers a game in his first three years. Tatum is avg 1.7 turnover a game

This nigga got 25 at the half right now , on a back to back after destroying Portland. This dude is murking the west coast!

The different era excuse.

And second team defense?

Rodman made his last defense team in 95-96. Hill hurt his ankle in 2000 and was in the league 6 years before that. Malone was old after 98.

Tatum is in another era of dominant defensive small forwards. Kawhi, lebron, Giannis, PG, Green. But he still gets mentioned as an elite defender at the age of 21. And you skipped over the blocked shots part. Did hill ever avg at least 1 block in 8 straight game?

And its not like hill played in the 80s. Hill played in the middle part of the 90s and in the first decade of 2000. So the era is not that far off.

Tatum is scoring on davis, lebron, Kawhi, PG. dropped 40 on the clippers and 40 on the lakers.

Tatum is the more advanced 21 year old.

Well, he must have been taking something serious. Unless they are still punishing cats for testing positive for weed.

Dude was a great cheap low ceiling/ high ceiling guy for daily fantasy. Hornets are trash so he would get garbage minutes in blowout games....

I got Milwaukee to win it all, and I’ll root for any other east team after that. But I like OKC, too.

It really wasn’t a good sample size, due to Danilo being out. Bucks can dominate without Khris, but Danilo scoring is necessary. With all four okc players playing they are lethal, but if one of them are out it kills their entire system.

Not against fast well rounded teams like the bucks, clippers, Celtics or raptors.

And then they are in last place in defense.

Lol thought home team was supposed to get calls?

Refs said no calls for Boston in the 3rd quarter.. 15 point lead erased.

I guess the nba wants the small ball shit.

Tatum is a killer man. And Hayward is trash

It hurt my soul when he left OKC...that said, this season could not have gone better. Not in my wildest dreams did I expect what's happening, this year. We're 5th in the West, Russ is balling and I know PG is a stud, when healthy... but we won the shit out of the Clippers trade because we got our next face of the franchise for a decade. SGA is So dope.
