*Can't front like I'm excited about much, still reeling from the tragic accident that took the lives of 9 people, including Kobe & Gigi Bryant. Knowing that time is the only answer, I'm holding on to anything that helps restore the balance.

Quite a bit of experience on & off the field for this match up. Both teams are relatively healthy.

but that third and long was a call he'll think about forever. you can't give Hill a free release from the slot and let him run a vertical against your safety. you just cannot.

A split second to late but even then the rush altered his pass because that ball hung in the air forever. Slightly better coverage and that pass is deflected or even picked.

a big-time quarterback needs to make in the 4th quarter. Kittle wide-open on the third down, the deep pass attempt to Sanders that he mailed to Jacksonville, taking a damn sack after 3 seconds on 4th down -- he just didn't have it. at all.

A better throw and Sanders catches that. Even if he under throws the ball, Sanders probably draws a PI call on that play. The one thing you absolutely can’t do is throw it to Jacksonville and he decides to throw it to Jacksonville.
Even his ball placement tonight was terrible. Throwing behind or high to receivers, which limited any YAC.

yeah, Jimmy missed Sanders for the go-ahead score. but I had them picked to win this shit. Don't know where it busted up. They baited Mahomes into some of his worst throws of this season, and the Chiefs really couldn't run all that much against them, it looked like.
their fall here actually reminds me of how Baltimore (my first SB pick) went out.

4-12 to a Superbowl was like a dream. Let's tighten up the secondary, let Jimmy G air it out a little more so he's better prepared for the late game heroics and run it back.
KC did it losing in the AFC title game, we got to the bowl. NINERS!!!

Niners should have won, but didn't. Secondary didn't do their thing the 4th quarter; Sherman even owned up to it. The D had Maholmes pretty rattled through three quarters, but they let them back in.
I actually thought the offense did pretty well. Wish they'd stuck with the run after KC scored that first TD in the fourth, but they had been consistently fooling them with the play action, so I understand.
For all the lame-brained, Skip Bayless hot takes, Jimmy G played fine. First INT wasn't really on him (got hit), second one was one the game was over. Only real bad throw he made was overthrowing Sanders on the deep ball.
But hey, still not acting like it was SB win or bust. This is the beginning of the window, and we made it all the way to the final game. Never, ever would've expected that at this point last year.
