Gervonta has special written all over him. Gamboa was once the goods of the division, but is a bit long in the tooth. Nonetheless, he was resurgent in his last outing against Rocky Martinez - but Martinez was largely washed.
Gamboa still has good reflexes and world class speed - but Davis is entering his prime and should be too much for Gamboa when he sits down on his shots; crazy power in both hands.

Almost everyone I know and respect in boxing is picking Loma in that hypothetical matchup - and I think with sound logic and good reason. Loma's skillset is unreal and he's been teetering in the top tier of PFP rankings for nearly a half-decade - but he's never fought anyone like Tank. Of course the same is true for Tank, who has never faced a technician with the pedigree and elitism of Loma.
I just think it's a fantastic fight and clash of styles. Before last night I would've taken Tank, but after seeing how Tank's power doesn't seem to carry up to 135 - I think Tank could find himself in real trouble against Loma if Loma eats his shots and isn't bothered by his power.
What a fight it would be though, in my opinion. Would bring out the best in both guys.
I think Tank would need to have much more dynamic camps in preparation for Loma. Training and preparation has never been an issue with Loma (whose discipline is widely heralded) - and that could very well carry the day.

I'm a little unsure of his power at 135. He was rocking Gamboa (on what could be a ruptured Achilles) for almost 12 rounds and still couldn't get him outta there? Makes me wonder how he'd far against another young, hungry lion with power like Haney or Lopez (both of which I'd LOVE to see)

when the injury happened in real time I thought it was an Achilles tear because of the way he was walking, and what ridiculous resolve and courage to fight on that broken wheel.
That said Tank dominated virtually every minute of the fight - but I think his stock slipped a bit. His power (which prior to this fight seemed like it would carry up to 135) didn't really bother Gamboa for much of the fight - it was just the accumulation that got to him eventually - but he could've finished the fight even with the 12th round knockdown.
Tank's body didn't look as strong at 135 which is peculiar to me - I would think he'd be able to bulk up with more muscularity at this weight but he didn't seem as muscular - perhaps by design for quickness - but his Flyweight Tyson mystique was shattered a bit last night.
