I don't think you'd deny the fact that Kuz hasn't melded well w/ this team, stylistically or energetically. He's been off and has looked lost/felt distant in games and in post-game interviews - even dropping subliminals that he'd be happier on a young team with no championship expectations when he said to the effect of, "it's frustrating seeing other guys I think I'm better than getting more shine"
I actually think it's likely that he wished he'd been shipped off to New Orleans to run with the young boys and just have fun. There's a ton of pressure on this Laker team to win now.
Still, this likely gets dismissed as young Kuz just being young Kuz - and they'll ball out w/ him and he'll have the chance to be a made man if he can step up as a consistent, viable third option.
But as for the trainer chiming in - lol. Year 17. You don't play at this level in year 17 if you ain't in the Lab. Weird flex. -->

This is what Durant was talking about and why he didn’t want to join him.
However, this is flat out bullshit. Kawhi is excelling because he gets to rest, and I agree with load management.
Lebron is against it, and he is working his body into the ground, which is why he is injured. That is the problem. He refuses to accept the fact that his body is not what it used to be. He thinks he can play 35 plus every game and be up to play at a great level.

This is not criticism.
No one beats Father Time. Kawhi was taught by Pop on how to preserve his body, and one of those methods is load management. Timmy, Parker, Ginobli and the spurs were able to compete at a high level for almost 2 decades because Pop load managed them.
He was shut down last year because of a groin injury, and it could very well happen again this year if he does not scale back on the amount of games that he plays.
There is no need for Lebron or AD to play at the same time when they are playing teams like the wizards or the Knicks, etc. It’s about having a fresh body out there at all times.

They was trying to say "IT'S ONLY KAWHI!!!!! NO ONE ELSE!!!!" like I haven't heard basketball players being "overworked" since Bernard King and the NY Knicks.
Before I knew anything about basketball my stepfather used to say "Bernard King was ran into the ground in his time in the NY Knicks."
I used to wonder "how could Bernard King be 'all used up' when he was supposed to be playing?" but, even then, my stepfather thought Bernard King was being used EXCESSIVELY.

I saw cats coming at you, basically stuck in their thinking.
Agree on Bernard king.
Same thing with Yao Ming and Tracey Mcgrady . Especially Yao mIng, dude played basketball year around due to his obligation to China. Due to his size and constant work rate, dude should have been off 1 once a week. He was cheated out of a great career.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Not sure why these young dudes keep trying to come at Bron.
