Not a Broncos fan, Elway getting Luck and Fant in the same draft was masterful. He Even waited as luck slid out of the first round. Traded up to get other players , and then grabbed Luck.

defense was getting carved up on just about every drive, but they're booing Carr for throwing it away. Dude just can't throw likely INT's and hope something good happens lol. I get the frustration but this game wasn't on him.

now y'all know I fuck with Buffalo. and I think Allen is good enough, given that the Bills have a pretty good defense.
but he is one of those QBs that looks like more of an "athlete" (these scouts tend to say) than he is a QB, at least with some of his passing. Sort of like Matt Jones (of Jaguars fame... who was actually turned into a WR in the NFL).
Really, he ain't -that- dissimilar from Terrelle Pryor. But that discussion never came up with Josh.
Side note: One reason I'm a consistent Boody hater is that the game has clung to that style of QB-ing from a structural perspective JUST so they can have that kind of a "legend" enshrined as a standard.
But as we're seeing from recent QBs, those old tropes don't work. in fact, the whole "don't run" mantra is losing some QBs games. defense has evolved with the times. other parts of the offense has evolved. not just in college, either. but the QB position has been needlessly conservative since it shifted to a passing-oriented role (instead of the "handoff man").
