Blough is not off the streets. From Purdue university, and traded from Cleveland to Detroit In the summer. Has been playing with the offense on the practice squad, so he knows the system.

Him and Driskel are going to get a lot of QB calls. They are better than a handful of QBs in the league. Impressive that he didn’t practice with the first team at all, came out and threw a 75 yard TD. Kid was also mentored by Dilfer.

Off the streets is like a FA who is not with a team and gets picked up because a team has no back ups.

Blough was in the Cleveland .org than got traded to Detroit, and has been on the practice squad ever since. So he was ready to go because he knew the plays, which is why he played so well and had chemistry with the players.

Today was his first start, no different than Haskins getting his first start a few weeks ago.
He is simply a rookie. Not some random guy off the streets.

Kurt Warner is more of an example of off the streets, because he was stocking shelves at Home Depot when he got the call from the rams.

Trubisky made some big throws in the 4th quarter and we got the win. Good solid win and we are still alive for the PO.

Blough is a very intelligent rookie. I was impressed with most of his throws, leading the receiver, putting it where only his man can catch it. Doing things that Trubisky should be doing with ease.

Trubisky has all the physical assets, but his IQ to play QB is the main problem. I’ll take the win.

going back to AB, LeVeon, Shazier, then this season Ben goes down, Connor's out a good chunk, this game no JuJu, Connor, Pouncey, and you got your 3rd string QB in. Tomlin should be a lowkey coach of the year candidate, all things considered but the fucked up part is if they cant lock down that last wildcard spot, those folks will go back to calling for his head
