If you’re going to bet against the patriots, now would be the time , as well the previous Ravens game. It wouldn’t be a bad position.

they make some bad plays, special teams probably is bad.

theyre just not good. so much talent but the team is not good. i think they have to win out to win the division unless philly crashes.

there were moments yesterday where i thought the cowboys were about to collapse and get blown away but they got it together. they werent ready for that weather.

im not mad that they didnt go for the TD instead of getting a FG. i do think their play calling got weak when they got close to/into the redzone.

they lack confidence.

i really hope they beat the bills, dont ruin thanksgiving!! lol

Myles appears to be a stand up guy, and I have no evidence of anything, but why
Didn’t he state that when he was interviewed several times after the melee?

However that is what investigations are for, so hopefully everything can be solved.

I find it interesting that Garrett waits until the appeal hearing for a suspension he shouldn't even be appealing to say something about this. I know most of you already have your minds made up about Rudolph but man this is some fuck shit if Garrett is lying. If he's not then his timing is bad and Rudolph needs to be dealt with but this is one of those situations where people are just gonna see it how they want.

If it was me I'd be calling his ass out immediately after the game about it on national TV. You'd think one of his teammates would have said something as well. It looks fishy as hell to me.

Now I know it is.

Sports exist for betting. That’s it.

No way we have super slow motion, a million cameras and they still miss obvious calls.

I love how the dudes calling them game make up some bullshit excuse when it’s not reviewed or overturned. It’s rare but lovely when they go in. Pretty sure the Colts even called a time out.

What’s even crazier is Houston took a time out which should’ve gave them more time to review. Gotta be the dumbest coaches in the league to call time out after that play. Maybe they knew it was rigged too. Lol

Garrett lost his appeal this week and stands to lose about $1.2 million in salary for missing the six remaining games.

Rudolph, who was not suspended, was slapped with the biggest fine, of $50,000. Pittsburgh center Maurkice Pouncey, who won an appeal reducing his suspension from three to two games, was fined $35,096 for fighting.

Browns defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi was suspended for one game, but his $10,527 fine was rescinded upon appeal.

In addition, both the Browns and Steelers franchises were fined $250,000 each.

Fines collected go to programs for NFL former players.

Three Cleveland players were also fined for plays that happened before the melee.

Safety Damarious Randall was fined $28,075 for unnecessary roughness and was ejected for a hit to the head of Steelers receiver Diontae Johnson, which knocked Johnson out of the game with a concussion.

Defensive end Chad Thomas was fined $21,056 for a hit on Rudolph. From the same play, cornerback Greedy Williams was fined $28,075 for unnecessary roughness on a hit that left Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster with a concussion as well.

The Browns travel to Pittsburgh for the rematch Dec. 1.

Trubisky is clearly not healthy. That hip is an issue . Did we not learn from Tua?

He just threw an interception without seeing the safety who was reading it all the way.

Valentine appears to be the weak link and the bears are going after him no matter who he covers.

They both have weak offenses, but at least the bears have a top ten defense to keep scores low.

Giants seem to be fucked on both sides

Steve Smith was a short tough fast receiver. But Tate is not only that’, but his leaping has always been insane. I’m not saying Tate is greater. Hill is on that same level as well.

I still remember that Monday night football catch against Seattle , and that ND catch against MSU.

From Seattle to Detroit to NY, dude just makes it look so easy.

I would not want to face him, Smith or Tyrann Mathieu in a dark alley. Tough honey badgers who will take on anything.

They are having success running the ball, but Dak is struggling with not turning over the ball. I wonder do teams simulate bad weather football by playing with sprinklers on or being water hosed while playing?

I know some colleges used to do that back in the day.

I don’t think Dallas is prepared for this. Not looking good. Damn this might get ugly if Dallas defense can’t hold.

but let them score 17 in the gap between 28-0 and their final score.

Jarvis Landry is the Browns Demigod. Browns God is Nick Chubb.
Odell finally got another TD
Hunt gets his first TD as a Brown

mostly a good game for Baker.

Freddie Kitchens needs to ditch the tricks unless the Browns can't get anything going.

I don't see them beating Baltimore again but another matchup against the rest of the AFC North is possible

fuck the Cheatriots

Eagles suck, Wentz is getting the 5 treatment, issues are bigger than what is being argued. blah blah blah

Not sure Rodgers can win this one. Green bays defense is horrible against the run and like 20th overall. Defense has to make a stance and stop the run.

In response to Reply # 0

Hmm. Not sure how to call this one, because rams have a damn good run defense, and they have turned a corner with getting the running game going.

Ravens are explosive as shit , but Wade is A master at stopping the run. I think rams can actually win this. Not sure if they can keep Jackson in check.

Gurley is the key . If they can get him going, passing game will go off

But if they can’t get gurley going, and at least slow Lamar down, no dice.

Also this could turn into damn field goal fest because both run defenses are good. I hope not.

I’m going 24-17 or 28-20 Rams

In response to Reply # 0

We are seeing a change back to smash mouth football with the Ravens and 49ers.

I remember when the Rams( the greatest show on turf) came and changed the NFL with its aerial attack. They were putting up almost 40 points a game, so the NFL adjusted and teams changed to more of an aerial attack to keep up. We started seeing more two back systems( not needing a main rusher) and running backs lining up as receivers, and smash mouthful football took a backseat. So defenses started building their defenses to stop the pass, and that’s what we have today.

But I’m sure next year you will see more defenses designed to stop big running teams. Teams are not used to this kind of explosiveness and real triple option like plays.

Teams are going to have to source information from military colleges and high schools to deal with these kind of option plays like bugger stated. This is not regular NFL RPO

I remember going to Rams’ games that final season, here and even though they were trash, he was clearly something special. I’m not at all saying he’s a bum, but he no longer has that otherworldly look. He’s only 25!!!! He got his bread, though.

Rams ran his knees into the ground last season. He has degenerative arthritis in his knees. He covered up Geoff’s flaws.

Plus ram’s offensive line is starting two rookies. So they can’t ride on either style of play. They are going to have to cut Gurley and eat that Guaranteed money. That’s the only thing that makes sense, because his knees can’t get better. He can’t cut anymore, can only run straight up. They really destroyed that dude.

They have to keep Jared...so hit the lower draft rounds for a running back.

Positive thing : they have some great receivers and even though they got murked yesterday , their defense is good with Ramsey and Arnold being the anchors.

I wouldn’t cut Gurley this offseason. If anything I’m taking one more season to look at Goff.

He looks like trash.

they don’t up it anymore tho.

Is he still injured or is McVey just not that good at in game adjustments? He’s looked pedestrian since the SB.

There is nothing to look at he has arthritis in the knees.

No surgery for that, just therapy or medication to reduce inflammation , as well as rest.

And it is degenerative. It will only increase and really affect him in cold weather .

Plus he is a running back. They have the shortest shelf life of any player, and you can go and find a good one in the second or third round. Not hard to find a good running back.

The QB situation is different , because they are hard to find, so they are stuck with Jared and have to see if he can get it right. Plus the money they put him in.

They have zero first round draft picks for 4 years. Only thing they can do is look to trade him if it comes down to that.

People say this all the time but a truly good running back is rare. Gurley carries this team and his Goffs flaws. Now he is getting exposed

I think you can find another Goff much faster than a Gurley

As a Steeler fam I heard this in regards to replacing Bell. Everyone popped champagne after Conner started hot. He hasn’t been healthy or hot lately and we have a bunch of nobodies for weeks while Snell was out.

Good is subjective tho. Good enough to play in the NFL or good enough to hide Goff’s flaws?

All you have to do is look at the draft to see how many good running backs are in the league, and lot of them taken in the later rounds.

Look at how good conners has been for Pittsburg after losing Bell.

I remember when the bears had Thomas Jones. Dude was good as hell, and they let him go to the jets. I was like WTF? But then they picked up Matt Forte who no one had ever heard of. I was like who is this? It think they got him in the second or third round. Dude is the third greatest running back in bear’s history.

Browns got Chubb ,and his backup? Kareem Hunt! The patriots pick up good running backs all the time in later rounds.

A few Past greats:

James starks - sixth round draft pick
Peyton Hills - 7th rounder
Priest Holmes: Undrafted
Terrell Davis - 6th rounder

Now:
Nick chubb - second round
Tevin Coleman - third round
Kareem Hunt - 3rd round
Jordan Howard - 5th rounder! ( silently has gained 1000 yards in his first three years)

1000 yard backs are being picked up in laters rounds easily.

QBs? How many QBs have the bears been through? Several. Browns? Several. Now look at all the old QBs that are still playing because they are hard to replace? Dolphins haven’t had a great qB since Marino! And haven’t been shit since.

Brees
Brady
Rodgers
Ryan

The qb position is the toughest position to fill... first rounder or late round. The job is complex.

Gurley can easily be replaced. But not Jared. Changing RBs doesn’t mean starting over. They just come right in . They don’t have to sit and learn for a few years or need time to grow. Moving away from Jared would be starting all over.

You could put the back up on and get the same shitty production as he is Goff this year.

He ain’t shit without Gurley balling out.

Peyton Hillis has one 1000 yard year and never cracked 600 yards any other year.

I mean, you can find a late round QB or mid round QB who panned out but I think a good RB is one who is consistent who has multiple years of production. Not flash in the pan stats.

I think part of the problem with the QB debate is teams draft QB’s high and they don’t pan out so people say it’s hard to find a QB. But if you look at injuries to franchise QB’s this year you see similar production/success by most QB’s who replaced them.

Steelers are probably the worst example of replacing Ben’s production but Ben without AB wasnt going to be pretty.

Brisset looked good
Bridgewater looked real good
Minshew looked good then fell back to earth.
Tannehill is playing well
Matt freaking Moore came back from coaching HS and looked good
Kyle Allen ain’t special but he had his moments in Carolina and balled out vs the Saints this week.

This is true. The rams offense goes through Gurley. I 100 percent agree with you. Jared is wack. But the business of the NFL does not go through Gurley or a running back. It goes through a QB, which is why it is a huge investment and commitment when getting a QB, and why teams will give QBs chance after chance before they move on.

Once a qb signs that second contract after his rookie deal, that means the club is highly invested.m

The position is complex, so that takes time for most QBs. Jared will be there next year, Gurley might not.

In response to Reply # 86

See Trent Dilfer or Joe Flacco

However even that is not a guarantee ,see Rex Grossman in 2007. Bears defense was lights out, got to the super bowl but didn’t win it because the qb needed to be good. Who won it? Peyton Manning.

Look at all the super bowl champions, most had a great QB

Brady
Brees
Russell
Rodgers
Big Ben
Both Mannings
Warner
Farve

QB has to be elite and that comes by way of the first round. Brady being the biggest outlier of course.

Cardinals had a bye and are always solid at home -- Rams are going to be in turmoil if they let Arizona get a W.

they dont have a first round pick for like 4 years too lol

married themselves to Goff until at least 2021 -- and even if they pull the plug then, he's on the books for $30 million until 2023

can't cut Gurley until 2021 either
