"Raiders suspend Anotnio Brown"

Just broke. Details still coming out. Stems from AB airing out Mayock on IG over the letter he sent to him about being fined. Apparently lead to another confrontation. As of now, he may be suspended for Monday Night's game.

I'm guessing the Raiders are very happy that Hard Knocks already aired its last episode.

Having watched hardknocks this year...they handled AB all the way wrong

Like they were scared of him

You've got a new player

granted the legit issue with his feet

but it felt like they were okay with him not even being at the facility during practices, etc...

How long did they think that could continue before people started taking it personal?

Shoulda fined AB the first time he decided he didn't have to come to camp as a spectator.

In response to Reply # 15

1st active player to be diagnosed
...and he allegedly was never treated for a concussion during his career...

I think he's referring to the spiral and off the field incidents before his death

I'm chalking up any irrational behavior from an NFL player to CTE.

Aaron Rodgers trying to pull off a porn stache = CTE
ODB off the field vids = CTE
Zeke drunk, stumbling around a festival = CTE

For real man, MFers need to stop enabling this behavior because some one is really good at football

these MFers are sick.

And, as goofy as it for me to actually write this, apparently Brown stopped following the Raiders and David Carr on IG. Which I'd usually just blow off as childish, but that's how a lot of these guys indicate which way the wind is blowing.

Yeah, I noticed that. Gruden was saying all the right things on Hard Knocks and playing the supportive "father," but shit still blew up anyway.

Yeah, and I thought that in itself was a mistake on Gruden's part, and was only gonna make it that much worse the first time he lost patience with him or even failed to coddle him enough.

I imagine they're furiously finding a way to do this without paying the $30 million that they still owe him. And they know if they cut him and try to not pay him, they're in for a huge fight with the Player's Union.

I’m standing in this line but I’m not sure if he didn’t pull a little shop of horrors on all these dudes.

Still, respect for assuming that stuff like this happens all the time and most teams are buttoned up enough that transcript of a player calling a gm a cracker/punk motherfucker/old ass nigga or whatever don’t get out within 2 days of the incident. Someone with the Raiders is doing hella pillowtalking and it’s bad.

In response to Reply # 0

Since now it appears that the speculation is that he's going to play on Monday.

As mentioned above, he's been playing the bad cop with AB all pre-season. He's the one that sent the letter (to probably start a paper trail) and the one what got called a cracker and white devil in front of everyone. So he's in all likelihood he's been pushing for them to dump him.

But knowing Gruden, he doesn't want to start the season on Monday without his best offensive player, and since he's the one getting the huge money, he's the one pushing ownership to let him play.

If Mayock is getting undercut before the season proper starts, this doesn't bode well for his future. Shoot, he might be gone before AB.

In response to Reply # 38

Just looked at his wiki page

They have him in broadcasting for the last 20 or so years before getting the GM position with OAK

That Michael Thomas tweet got me thinking;
https://twitter.com/Cantguardmike/status/1169737798309613568

AB is his big splash a GM...and he's already fucked that up

Wasn't qualified for the job

= get him outta here.

In response to Reply # 39

He's the one who pushed for AB in the first place.

Mayock is supposed to be the enforcer, but Gruden is the guy on year 2 of a $100 million contract, so he calls the shots.

The partnership apparently started well, but this is probably a preview of more mess to come.

as a media analyst he could have any opinion he wanted, and the W-L didn't matter. but 4 of the 5 GMs who drafted receivers before Thomas are now fired. it does matter now.

(I think Mayock is pretty smart BTW, and any NFL personnel man is going to be wrong about prospects if you publicized their opinions over the last X years).

Just saying...jumping from the broadcast booth...to the GM's office...may have been a leap too far.

Gruden having all the juice...probably makes it an even tougher ask

What could possibly go wrong...relocating this franchise to...VEGAS!?!

Dude has about 15% of the mental capacity of his old man (I'm talking Al in his last 5 years) and 150% of the weirdness. This is going to melt slowly but surely and I can't think of it happening to a better person not named Jones or Snyder.

This would make sense as a Nike ad a year from now if he wins the MVP or wins the Super Bowl.

Someone also pointed out that Gruden probably didn't give his permission to record and in CA you need both parties consent.

Raiders should've just released him. not that i excuse Antonio's behavior leading up to this, but why WOULD he play for them if they're taking that guarantee away? Raiders just wanted to force Antonio's hand for PR purposes, probably

Steelers couldn't unload him for anything higher than a third-rounder, and that only happened when a dysfunctional team like Oakland stepped up.

if Oakland rips up his contract, he's going to want another $30 million somewhere else. I wouldn't want to be the GM on the hook for that...

1) In 2014 LeGarrette Blount was signed to the Steelers to mentor newly drafted RB LeVeon Bell. Just before the season started the 2 were pulled over and arrested for driving while stoned. They got suspended. Later in the year Blount literally walked off the field in the middle of a game claiming he was angry he wasn't getting enough carries. Naturally the Steelers cut him. Within 24 hours he was smiling as he had somehow negotiated and signed a contract with the Patriots.

2) In 2017 James Harrison was released by the Steelers towards the end of the season after extremely unusual behavior including skipping team meetings and ignoring coach's directions. 3 days after they released him Harrison signed with the Patriots.

3) Heading into the last game of the end of the 2018 season AB decides to skip the last game of the year, blows up the team and demands a trade. He more or less makes it known that there are very few teams he will consider joining. When the Steelers work a deal with the Bills AB blows it up. The team works a trade with the Raiders instead (rejecting a deal from a certain Boston-based organization).

4) Now throughout preseason it has been really clear to anyone paying attention that AB is trying to get released. Why would a guy guaranteed $30M want to get cut?

With his personality he might yell at Brady.

Cannot believe he turned down $30 mill guaranteed for $9 million on a one year deal.

Best believe owners are using this incident against players that ask for guaranteed contracts..

But instead of the long-term guarantees, he'll just hit FA after this season? So if he balls out this year with Brady, he can hit another big deal? And he's on, y'know, an actual contender?

I think this shit, in defiance of God's will, worked out *massively* for AB.

In response to Reply # 0

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/10/sports/football/antonio-brown-sexual-asssault-patriots.html

"The lawsuit says that Brown, in three separate incidents — two in June 2017 and another in May 2018 — sexually assaulted and forced himself on a woman named Britney Taylor, a gymnast whom he met while they were attending Central Michigan together and whom he later hired as a trainer.

According to the lawsuit, Brown sexually assaulted Taylor twice during training sessions in June 2017. First, he exposed himself and kissed her without her permission, the lawsuit says. Later that month, the lawsuit says, while she was watching a television program at his home, Brown started masturbating behind her and ejaculated on her back. Brown bragged about the incident in profane text messages that are copied in the lawsuit.

Taylor ended her working relationship with Brown, the lawsuit says, but several months later, when he contacted her to apologize, she relented. She was, according to the lawsuit, “swayed by his assurance that he would cease any sexual advances.”

Then, the lawsuit says, on May 20, 2018, Brown forced her onto a bed, pushed her face into the mattress and “forcibly” raped her. She tried to resist him, screaming and repeatedly shouting “no” and “stop,” the lawsuit says, but Brown refused and penetrated her."

They are not suspending him, because any intelligent person can see that the accusations are a simple money grab.

AB is a knucklehead, goofball, and is ignorant at times, but he is not a rapist. He is too dumb to be one. He is a DIVA and a DIVA only. He comes from the TO and Randy Moss cloth, who both did insane, crazy things for their time. ( funny enough, Randy Moss stopped trying when he was a raider)

- Women was allegedly raped the first time, but then went back to his place on two more occasions to get raped again? Makes Zero sense.

- She never went to the police to file a police report, not once. And there is no criminal investigation. Why? She appears to not be stupid, and understands if she were to submit a false police report or false claims, she could be arrested and charged. So what does she do? She files a lawsuit, because in a lawsuit, even though civil perjury is illegal it is rarely prosecuted against.

- She allegedly wanted AB to give her 1.6 million dollars to invest in her business pursuit. He refused, then she disappeared. And then resurfaced out of nowhere.

He has not been charged or arrested, and he will not, because she is simply trying to do a money grab.

All I'm saying is that what goes around comes around. If he didn't do this that's fine but hopefully enough is enough and he can understand that it's not okay to throw a fuckin tantrum whenever he doesn't get what he wants. He keeps getting rewarded too because he's so talented but its masking the fact that he's a shitty person and needs to understand that this isn't always going to go his way.

anybody that has been on this board at least half a minute knows all I do is support black men.

You can say AB is wrong, you can say you don’t like him.

But to say he “needs to humbled” is something the racist league it’s racist ass owners are probably saying.

What do you mean when you say he “needs to be humbled”? Should he play for whatever team they tell him to and walk around with his head down and not make IG posts?

The TRUTH with situations like this is it's not about race its about talent. If this dude had half the talent he has he'd be out of the league already acting the way he does. He has shit on other black men (Mike Tomlin especially......which is really shitty) and done nothing for anyone except himself. Even when it looked like he was just out to get his bag I thought everything he did to get out of Pittsburgh was foul but I understood but everything since then is a terrible look and I'm supposed to just be in the dudes corner now. Naw. There is some shit he can;t get away with no matter how talented he is. Whether he did this or not he needs to chill the fuck out. You can make this about whatever "white" owner you want but as a black man looking at a dude who fucked over other black men I think he needs to take a look in the mirror. I can't fuckin stand Screamin A but I'm 1000% with him on that point.

so they tried fuck him over by sending him to one of the worsts teams in the league so they probably wouldn't have to worry about seeing him in the playoffs.

You're right its his talent that allowed him to flip the situation and go to a good team and get the same money and people are pissed.

As soon as they think you're of no value in this league they throw you away like trash(see Kaep) so to see a black man take advantage of his talents and do what he wants while he's still in his prime I have no problem with even with him going to a team I absolutely hate.

You can't fall for the banana in the tailpipe shit in Pittsburgh and think its about Tomlin and JuJu when its really about Roethlisberger and Rooney.

I'm not defending that dude. But BOTH things can be true. They can both be assholes and they are. None of what happened there gives AB the right to facebook live his coach in the fuckin locker room or REPEATEDLY walk out on the team when he didn't get his way. There was a lot in Pittsburgh that was kept under wraps.

You can't use that argument to get around the fact that this dude on his own is a selfish clown. Not everyone gets along with their co workers man. But if you're gonna make this into a "evil white people" going against a black man argument then Pittsburgh isn't the example bruh. That's one of the most progressive organizations in the league. I guess the "evil whites" in Oakland just had it out for AB too then right? They bent over for this dude at every turn until they just couldn't no more and honestly they got out at just the right time.

but he's a very talented asshole and in the NFL that gets you a pass just like it got Ben a pass.

And I've actually been a fan of the Steeler organization for a while but I have noticed a difference when it comes to contract talk times when it comes to players of different races.

Oakland is just a trash organization. Gruden was trying to make it work with AB but his right hand man Mike Mayock wanted to get into a who's dick is bigger dispute with AB on the field and blow it all up after things had been smoothed out.

Antonio Brown is as far as I can remember the only Steelers player to get an extension with 2 years left on his deal that's a non QB when he got extended in 2012. The essentially gave him the deal that Mike Wallace didn't want. The QB position is the only position that gets guaranteed money after the first year in Pittsburgh too. It's not a race thing.....it's a business thing.

They gave Kordell Stewart an extension when he was playing like absolute shit.

They offer top dollar to their top end players. the top 10 players on their roster are some of the highest paid in the league at their positions. They just don't want to give the guaranteed money. That has less to do with race and more to do it with business.

They trashed Kordell for XFL reject Tommy Maddox which led them to drafting Ben.

AB wanted what he was worth, so did Le'Veon. We'll see how great Big Ben is without those 2 around.

Facts. Kordell got chance after chance. He played himself out of that job. They stuck with that dude through ALOT. Wasted years of great defenses with his meltdowns. Bell was offered a great deal both times he was tagged. Not the guarantees he wanted but the Steelers almost always honor these deals. He ended up in a worse situation with a worse deal even with the guarantees. Brown got a great deal as well and threw a fit 2 years into it because Ju Ju was named team MVP and he wanted more money. He got traded and left the Steelers with a 20 million dollar cap hit and got his guaranteed money but acted like a dickhead and got fined and released. He may get it all back in NE but probably not.

We stay putting our support behind stupid acting black folks. If he is innocent of the rape charge (which I believe that he is), this still doesn’t excuse his ignorant behavior. Cats like him, Zeke, and Hunt usually will eventually do something that they can’t get away from because they will never mature.

Sure the social media stuff is over the top but today's athletes do a ton of stupid stuff on social media they probably shouldn't do.

Other than that he refused to play professional football until he found a new helmet that he felt safe in. Sure he could've went about it differently but it's not your brain on the line.

The other stuff was silly good cop/bad cop shit between Gruden and Mayock that they could have and should have handled at lot differently and we'll see how that pair fairs going forward. I've already said AB is an asshole he might even be a bad teammate but on Sundays he's a monster.

This bs sexual assault case is just that bs.

The stuff on social media is inexcusable. Whatever was going on with him on the organization should’ve never been put on social media. Other players also don’t like the helmets also, but they’re still playing. If that was really the case then just retire and stop creating a circus. He should’ve been cut over the frostbite issue to be honest. Who cares how he performs on game day if he is a headache the outside of that.

The sexual assault case might be bs, but we shall see how it plays out.

It's not like he was missing games about the helmet, he missed part of training camp and preseason, players missed that shit all the time for various reasons, especially established vets. The frostbite thing was wierd but are you really going to cut an all-pro receiver over that?

With that guy you don’t know what you’re going to get, so we can’t assume that he wouldn’t gone into the season missing games or quit on the team midway.

Yes I would’ve given serious consideration to cutting him over the frostbite. It just shows incompetency to make a simple decision. He should know to be dressed properly before doing cryotherapy.

base off the past 9 months.

6th round pick
4x 1st team all-pro +1 2nd team
7 pro bowls
100+ receptions the last 6 years straight
Double digits tds 4 of the last 5 years
2nd fastest player to 10,000yds in NFL history

There are reasons the Pats hopped on him like they did, other teams were lining up to sign him too, you keyboard GMs in here talking about you would've cut him lol

It’s about what you’re doing for me now. If all you’re doing is creating issues and out for yourself then I don’t care what you’re talent level is. Trust and believe you can replace a talent like his. Also last time I checked he has NO rings. So how is he a guy that you gotta have? He is just a guy that puts up good numbers. Lastly it’s not like the Pats need him. They are fresh off of a Super Bowl win with the receiving core that no one can really remember outside of Edelman.

I'm guessing if nobody had picked AB up this lawsuit wouldn't exist.

I wouldn't be surprised if folks involved with other teams put her up to this.

AB is a first class asshole and a lot of people probably think he "deserves" this but I'm going to go ahead and be a first class asshole and say this is bs. It sounds similar to the bogus suit against Jamies Winston.

The chick accused Brian Banks is still out here living her best life after the millions she received for LYING.

As long as these bitches know the can LIE about rape and ruin a man's career with no repercussions this will continue to happen.

This is what Kap should've kneeled about.

Since that time, Ms. Taylor has taken a polygraph examination. It was conducted by one of the nation’s leading examiners, who previously led the FBI’s polygraph program. Ms. Taylor had to relive the trauma of these events through this examination. The polygraph examination confirmed her completely truthful account that, in June 2017, Brown ejaculated on her without her consent and that, in May 2018, that Brown raped her

"The first alleged incident was in June 2017; Taylor says Brown exposed himself and kissed her without consent at one of his Pittsburgh-area homes. A month later, while at Brown's home in his native Miami, Brown masturbated near her without her knowledge and ejaculated on her back, then later bragged about it in a series of text messages, Taylor alleges in the lawsuit. Taylor also says that in May 2018, after a night out at a Miami-area club, she went back to Brown's home in Miami to use the bathroom and have some food, and Brown "forced her down onto a bed, pushed her face into the mattress, and forcibly raped her.""

This is true, but my point is she made no attempt to go to the police at all. She didn't file a police report, and just appears to want to get quick money. You're raped 3 times and all you want is 2 million dollars?

That's nothing to Brown, so had he actually done it, and I don't believe that he did, he would have settled that in a hard beat. And the thing is no one even knew about it at that point, and it would have been put to rest.

So for Brown to say no to the low settlement, I think it makes for a strong case that he is innocent

Also, even though Civil Perjury is illegal, it is rarely prosecuted against, as opposed to committing perjury in a criminal case.....

So from a logic stand point, things are not making sense for her. You were allegedly raped three times, you then seek a 2 million dollar settle for the alleged rapes, and you never go to the police or file a report for the 3 alleged rapes?

Again, I think this is a calculated money grab, to she if she can get some money out of it. If it does not work, then she gets to walk away. The reward is worth the risk.

I was saying this to somebody yesterday. In a vacuum the lack of a police report should never be used as evidence that a victim is lying. Huge part of the problem.

Thought we'd made some progress in that regard in 2017, but maybe not.

I said the current information and evidence that has been released makes for a STRONG CASE that he is innocent or might be innocent, and the IT APPEARS to be a money grab.

Plus there is a video that was recently released of the two of them lying in bed together, another piece of evidence to support his argument that their relationship was an intimate relationship.

In one of her statements, she says the following: "Taylor also says he grabbed and kissed her without her consent. According to the lawsuit, Taylor pushed him away and left the room."

But here is a video of them lying in bed or cuddling and looking pretty intimate.

Video of them cuddling:

https://www.totalprosports.com/2019/09/11/footage-surfaces-of-antonio-brown-his-accuser-cuddled-up-together-recently-before-sexual-assault-allegations-video/

I'm sorry, the question has to be asked as to why she decided to heavily pursue justice via monetary compensation, as opposed to heavily pursuing justice via a criminal case.

I can understand your statements of women not going to the police or reporting the matter to anyone, because they are afraid, ashamed, or they feel that they were at fault. So the situation never gets revealed. But this is totally different, in how they met, how many times she went to his house in the two years that they were affiliated with one another, etc.

And again, she alleged that she was raped in three different situations at his home. What woman continues to go to a man's home to continually to get raped? Any human being who researches a case or issues will definitely have that question to ask. I can't recall one rape case where a woman WILLINGLY ( not being coerced or under the influence of a chemical) continued to go to a rapist's house after being raped the first time or second time.

I think anyone who has the ability to critically think,or way the pros and cons, as well as put things to the eye test, can look at this situation and honestly say that something does not sound right with here allegations, or that their are cracks in her allegations.

But at the end of the day, WE SHALL SEE.

Rape and sexual assault are *often* perpetrated by boyfriends, husbands, and people with whom the victim is close. Even if they were dating and had sex a lot, there's nothing there that effectively counters the credibility an allegation.

It counters it by SUPPORTING the argument that the sex was consensual, and that they were in an intimate relationship, and it wasn't just a trainer/athlete work relationship. That is how it counters it.

It is being presented by the alleged victim that the relationship was not intimate. However, the videos paint a different picture, and that is AB's arguments, is that there relationship was intimate and much more than a work relationship, and that all sexual encounters were consensual.

1. I see law as a person is innocent until proven guilty.
2. When you accuse someone of something, you afford the burden of proof. She is the accuser, and I have YET to see or hear any proof that she was raped.

But everything is still under investigation, so we SHALL SEE.

Yes.

>2. When you accuse someone of something, you afford the burden
>of proof. She is the accuser, and I have YET to see or hear
>any proof that she was raped.

Also true, by law.

But we also know that the law lets down rape victims regularly. That, routinely, women are sexually assaulted by lovers, friends, and family members, and they are too ashamed/scared to get a rape kit done. That, routinely, women have to seek settlement pretrial or in civil cases, because they realize the system lets down rape victims and they pursue it as the only attainable form of "justice" within reach. That only 40% of rapes are ever reported to the police (if that), and that only 2% of rape charges are determined to be false. That's around the same percent as felony accusations that are proven to be false. If a woman said she was robbed, people don't immediately go "nah, bitch is lying." But they do *so often* about rape charges. Why?

I'm not saying he *did* do it-- that's not for me to decide. But the idea that we should automatically doubt why a woman comes forward and puts herself through the public tribulations of accusing a celebrity of rape? Because the law says "innocent until proven guilty"? Nah. I'm not a jury. I don't have to do that. Neither does anyone else. I don't have to say OJ didn't murder those people, I don't have to say Casey Anthony didn't kill her kid, I don't have to say that wasn't R. Kelly on that videotape.

Instead, I can look at the overall statistics and I can say, "Here's a guy still playing football, still making millions, and here's the woman accusing him, about to be attacked, spit on, and probably sent death threats by thousands of shithead football fans and Very Online Guys. Maybe I *don't* need to post defending the millionaire celebrity here. I can instead believe the woman who isn't in a position of power, and I can reserve the right to be wrong if this is one of those 2% cases."

*shrug*

I realize I won't convince anyone here who isn't already convinced. And I'm confident the replies to this reply will be infuriating. So I'll just bow out. Just remember: when on OKP, a decent rule of thumb is "If I'm siding with ThaTruth on social issues, I should really question my take."

And he isn't the brightest light bulb in the room either, so if he was just focking women and dissing them, that might come back to haunt him. The more women he has been with start to see the lawsuit that is against him, you know they are going to get in line to try to get a payout.

It's crazy how money can instantly change a person's perception and feelings towards a person and situation.

Hopefully, he has everything recorded like he does with the first woman who is trying to sue him.

You realize this is still ALL on AB, yes...?

Reports state they had been negotiating since April

Taylor went public when he refused to settle

...and now you're blaming potential victims for coming forward...

DUMBASS!!! No one would know about this if AB settled the case initially

We can debate guilt or innoncence

But the idea of AB being the victim in alladis = GTFOH.

How is this all on him if he is innocent?

Would you settle if you were innocent? His lawyer stated that this woman has been trying to get money out of him since day one, with a request for a 1.6 million dollar investment, and she wanted season steeler tickets. He turned both of those requests down.

So AB is not at all a possible victim, of these women trying to extort him? That's not a possibility either? That's crazy. AB can/could be a victim just like the so called victims.

It's like that Getty guy of the getty family. When his grandson was kidnapped, he refused to pay for the ransom, because he stated if he paid them, he would have to continue to pay out because other people would try it.

So if AB were to settle, and gave in to those demands, then he would be known as a financial pushover...... which is what happened to Michael Jackson. Mike just wanted the lies to go away so he settled, and the white people just kept coming at him because they knew he would pay just for things to go away.....even though the man was totally innocent.

If I got proof that I didn't rape anyone, videos , messages, etc, I wouldn't settle either .. A man has to take a stance.

you're so far out there on this one

IDK if you can even receive any input with a clear, rational mind

>How is this all on him if he is innocent?

>Would you settle if you were innocent? His lawyer stated that this woman has been trying to get money out of him since day one, with a request for a 1.6 million dollar investment, and she wanted season steeler tickets. He turned both of >those requests down.

>So AB is not at all a possible victim, of these women trying to e>xtort him?

This new accusation is not a lawsuit. How is he being extorted by 'women'?

Comparing AB to the richest man in the world and MJ...yeah, GATWTFOHWTBS!!!

THEN WHAT WAS HE NEGOTIATING?

If he was innocent, truly innocent...wouldn't he welcome a criminal proceeding...a civil suit, etc...

If, as you allude to, it's so easy to prove his innoncence

...as displayed in his plethora of vines with Taylor that have absolutely no context...

WHAT WAS HE NEGOTIATING?

AB - I'm innocent

Taylor - I'm suing for $1.*M

AB - That's too much, I'll see you in court...but if you come down on your price, I might could do something something

?

TF kind of logic is that

= AB standing his ground.

You're wrong about MJ, he went to court 2X.

Well, I guess according to your logic he is 100 percent guilty. No need to go to trial, whatsoever. I guess it is not possible that these women are looking for a payday.

This second women stated that she was told by friends about the lawsuit against brown, and that is what made her come forth. She is stating that brown made SEXUAL ADVANCES towards her. There was no rape or sexual assault. And she is claiming that he didn't pay for her artistic services. ACCUSATIONS.

You don't think she could possibly be lying as well, considering she is coming forth because she heard about the lawsuit?

You're giving the women the benefit of the doubt but not giving brown the benefit of the doubt?

It's like what just recently happened to Neymar, one of the world's biggest soccer players. He was accused of raping a woman, and the woman claimed that he attacked, raped her, and did all sorts of things to her. And the whole world just went in on him and labeled him guilty. From my perspective, I was like Neymar? Dude is afraid of his own shadow and is a knucklehead, but not a rapist. A video comes out of the woman actually beating him up, and attacking him, so it was the other way around. Now the woman has been indicted and is facing fraud and extortion charges in brasil, and will more than likely do some serious time, as well as her husband.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/sep/11/neymar-accuser-charged-with-and-extortion-over-case

Just saying that AB could be a victim just like the so called accusers. And considering there are intimate videos of him and the first accuser, he could very well be the victim here. So to just blame AB for all of this would totally be reckless in judgement, when it is possible that these are actions of extortion.

We shall see

peace

last reply, just so we're clear

I am absolutely blaming AB for how this was handled

He chose not to keep this confidential

I have no stance on guilt or innocence

I'm stating my opinion on the story based on what has been presented so far

NOBODY is currently in a position to determine guilt or innocence

Why does it have to be one or the other...before we even have actual factuals?

You don't know what happened, I don't know what happened...but what we do know

...is jumping out in front of these stories and making predeterminations based on information presented through the press...

Usually doesn't end well.

The 2nd accusation is definitely sexual harassment.

He hired this woman for her artistic skills, to paint a mural in his house

He then exposed himself to her...

...that's right out of the weinstein playbook...

She's not suing him...so you're already doing too much with 'women' extoring him, every woman he every flirted with, etc...

flirting =/= ejaculating on someone's back, or walking up behind them naked

WTF

You want to shout out his innocence...go for it

I can't see how that would end badly for you.

you can't understand it with an explanation

End badly for me? lol I'm not on trial here. We are just talking and providing opinions and perceptions on something. That's it. nothing more. I'm not sure you know how to debate or disagree agreeably here. However, I hope that you do.

Again, I'm not saying he is innocent or guilty. What I'm saying is that he COULD be innocent, and the women COULD be guilty of lying, and vice versa.

Also, when you say he could have gotten out in front of this situation by settling. What I'm saying is why should a person settle if they are innocent? Why should he allow himself to be extorted by way of settlement if he is innocent? That is what I am saying. Again, I'm saying if he is innocent. He says that he is innocent, and that he is not guilty of anything, and that they had an intimate relationship. That is his defense. SO we shall see.

If it were me, and I know that I am innocent, I would not settle either. I would fight it to the very end no matter how long it takes.

In this day in age of women being raped, as well as men being falsely accused of raped, and people wanting money and fame, etc, a person does not know what to believe or who to believe. I am simply giving AB the benefit of the doubt, just like people are giving the accusers the benefit of the doubt.

So again, we shall see, and hope for justice to prevail.

WE agree to disagree.

Every woman that he has possibly flirted with my try him, bro. This is crazy.

So he basically flirted with this woman, not rape, or touch her, but for making so sexual advances? lol

Now I get it, if he owes money for mural work, or for her services as an artist, then he needs to pay up.

And as she stated, her friends told her about the Britney Lawsuit, so now she wants in. She wasn't even thinking about any of that, until she heard about the lawsuit.

This is why If I were an affluent individual, and or a person of great celebrity, everything would get recorded....everything. You can't simply
just ask someone out, or make a pass at someone, or simply have a one night stand.

It can get twisted and manipulated just to get a payout.

This dude is a simply knucklehead, diva, loud mouth, but now that is about to cost him.

Watch some other women come out of nowhere, and the NFL is going to have no choice but to exempt him.

This is crazy they are coming at this dude with complete nonsense.

So he farts by accident, and SMILES afterwards ( not laugh) while getting an examine, and that needs to be reported? The video just showed him innocently farting like human beings do. He is standing up, the doctor has a probe on him to scan his body, and then he accidentally farts.

Also, I re-read that SI article, and AB did pay the female artist 2 grand, but didn't call her back again. but there was no sexual assault, just him being naked with his hands over his genitals - allegedly. She felt the need to talk to SI because she heard about the Britany lawsuit.

They are probing this guy's every human encounter, just looking for something.

No. It shouldn't go that far. We're all too mature for that in this day and age. At the end of the day, it just a matter of opinion, nothing more nothing less.

Even back in the day, I never went that far. That's not my form of communication, to verbally threaten someone or verbally degrade someone. I don't attack people , I just comment against the statements, and If I agree, I agree, and If I don't, I don't. I never took/take things personal

If this is true, what's to stop one of the defendants from throwing a civil suit at the Steelers for willingly withholding information and/or not punishing the dude when they had the chance to? Or even worse, try to shame and/or pressure the NFL into punishing the Steelers for basically sitting on their hands because Antonio Brown's talent made them enable this horrible behavior.

IMO, it makes complete and total sense why the Steelers front office will want to completely shut their collective mouths if its true that they had prior knowledge of this dude's problems off the field.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/09/15/marquise-brown-is-the-unnamed-player-in-the-lawsuit-against-antonio-brown/

------------

Marquise Brown is the unnamed player in the lawsuit against Antonio Brown

The lawsuit filed last week against Patriots receiver Antonio Brown mentions that another football player was present on one of the evenings that culminated in an alleged incident between Brown and his accuser. That player wasn’t named in the lawsuit.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, that player is Ravens receiver Marquise Brown.

Marquise Brown, the cousin of Antonio Brown, faces no accusations. But Marquise Brown surely will be interviewed by the NFL to determine any information that he may have regarding anything he witnessed on the evening in May 2018 when Antonio Brown allegedly raped Britney Taylor.

Marquise Brown is expected to give information that will support his cousin’s position. His relationship with Antonio becomes an obvious issue when it comes to whether Marquise’s version should be accepted without reservation.

Regardless, Marquise Brown will undoubtedly hear from the league, and the league will want to hear what if anything he knows.

And it is going to cost him his career and maybe his life.

I'm not sure if he ever had a father in his life, or someone that can coach him. But due to his unintelligent behavior, he is just going to continue to give himself a dark image, and make it easier for people to label him and just instantly mark him guilty for whatever allegations are thrown at him.

You see these guys come from broken homes, never raised correctly, never trained on how to be an adult, and continue to do silly stuff for the rest of their lives. And then throw in the fact that they play football, and that does not make it any better, when you consider the damage it does to the brain. There is a reason why football players are the most violent athletes, and get into extreme trouble compared to other athletes.

He should just sit down and let his lawyer and legal team handle things. That is what they are there for. Since he does have a witness, even though it is his cousin, regarding the first accuser, then let that play out.

If someone accuses you of something, go straight to legal representation and stay out of the media, and don't go after your accusers no matter how upset you are. Threats, attacks are just going to make it worse.

He is such an easy target right now: Young, Dumb, Black, with money that is about to get taken ( especially legal fees) , and has a bad reputation.

Only way we see him back in the NFL is his name gets cleared after the investigation, and he wins the lawsuit against him. Hopefully, no new allegations or accusations come about, and he composes himself. Let the legal system handle things. We do not need another fallen black male.

Belichick was already walking out of press conferences before this most recent rounds of allegations hit. No way is he or the organization spending the rest of the season fields questions about all the fucked up things AB has allegedly done before he was even on the team.

The smart move would been to cut him as soon as those first allegations became public. Sitting on it and playing him last week just made them look tone-def.

Antonio Brown likely forfeits $9M signing bonus from Patriots b/c of a contract clause calling for players to disclose situations preventing availability, per league source. This could lead to a grievance, but source says that money is 'gone.' Brown was due $5M Monday.
------

he will go from a $30m guarantee in march to $9m guaranteed to just $158k made for 2019.

dude is still arguably the best receiver in the game.

they could offer him a low risk incentive laden contract and rosenhaus would prolly push ab to accept it in hopes they could both get paid in the future.

Since he has not been charged with anything, and he is not on the exempt
list, he is simply a free agent that can be signed. Teams want to know how close the investigation is to being completed, and looking for signs if he is going to be exempt or not. That's all that matters. If he is not placed on this list, then there will be quite a few teams that will still go after him.

Teams don't care about that twitter stuff. As long as there isn't a VIDEO of him doing something crazy, teams will line up.

Stein was just on ESPN radio stating that there are teams that are willing to take a risk. However, he stated that because of AB's spontaneous behavior, and the capacity to muck things up, that AB will keep himself out of the NFL.

If he would just shut up and stay put, and let his legal team work, as well as his agent, He would be playing right now. Other athletes have faced worse than this, and were able to make it back by just staying low.

AB is the only one that is keeping himself out of work.

Do you think that owners are well within their right to void contracts and not paid guaranteed money?

My whole premise is not just the Brown situation. Players (in the NFL) can holdout for more money by demanding new contracts when they are currently under one. The Zeke (as well as countless others) situation really has me siding with the owners. Dude is an off the field incident away from not being able to play in the league again.

Should owners start refusing to redo contracts for players that haven’t fulfilled them?

even owners can be kicked out of the NFL (well, that's a lot fucking harder because they usually in charge of everything...but it happens at the extreme level)

NFL contracts are rigged against players, but the idea "guaranteed money" for playing football should be guaranteed against any and all conduct is not the hill for people to die on

but it only came up as soon as he went to NE. Apparently the Steelers knew what was brewing, but never brought it to the forefront. I seriously doubt if anything would’ve come out if he stayed in OAK.

Maybe it’s perfect timing on her part but it sure seems like the minute the Pats landed him the story broke.

I could definitely see the Raiders being bitter about it and nudging her to come forward.

As soon as he was released all of a sudden we don’t see or hear anything else about this story.

Which is why none of this stuff would’ve ever come out if he weren’t so stupid. Apparently the Steelers have been dealing with the stuff behind the scene concerning Brown for a while before they traded him. Even though you hear nothing else concerning the accusers they still haven’t gone away I believe.

No he doesn’t... when you have a guy that makes what goes on in a locker room public. As well as memorandums and phone convos with GM’s and your head coach public, then I would be real hesitant to bring him into my locker room as an owner.

I don’t care about his point. This dummy should know that the rules are different for a high profile white QB vs. a replaceable, problem starter WR.

You add that plus coming from a broken environment make for a perverse situation.

It’s like with Aaron Hernandez. They examined his brain, and it showcased a SEVERE case of CTE. Doctors stated it was one of the worst cases they had ever seen.

This guy is clearly suffering, and people just continue to ignore the matter.

Some folks just natural born killers

and I’m pretty sure it was his his lawyers who had a doctor diagnose his CTE.

Do you research before you type?

A Doctor?

It was an advanced medical research team at Boston University!

It was the most severe CTE found in a person his age.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/aaron-hernandez-suffered-from-most-severe-cte-ever-found-in-a-person-his-age/2017/11/09/fa7cd204-c57b-11e7-afe9-4f60b5a6c4a0_story.html

There are some key findings in there that are overlooked.

Dude had a marker

They’ve never looked at a brain at that age to compare if it’s common in players his age.

I’m not buying CTE so bad in HS he was a murderer in college.

He was a killer.

hard and so fast in their prime?

I can’t see many scenarios where AB ends in in Canton unless he admit he has a problem and gets serious professional help and completely turns his entire life around and is miraculously signed by another team to comeback and have just few solid seasons and I don’t see that happening.

He makes T.O. Look like a saint.

So, sure, Antonio Brown could do all of that too.

Huge difference between Brown and Tysons is that Brown is still a phenomenal talent. His fall off was entirely self-induced, not incurred by a dropoff in physical ability.

I think over time AB could still get in years from now. Especially with CTE being recognized these days.

He really reminds me of Chris Henry lately...which is scary.

i know josina has a good relationship with the players and tries to portray them in as positive a light as possible most times. it seemed like she was tryna guide him through an interview that should be beneficial. but at some points you can tell she was giving him that subtle 'nigga cmon i know you can come up with a better answer than that' lol.

i wanna see how long he can go before he drops the pacific act and starts trashing her on twitter/ig.
