"ways to improve my fantasy football league" Wed Aug-07-19 10:09 PM by RobOne4
I am guessing my main league is running into the same issues some of yall are running into. We are in our 15th season and we are just getting older. We are all in our late 30's and have families and kids. Not to mention 1/4 of our league left Southern California. At this point the league is just something we do out of tradition instead of something we are excited about. Draft day used to be a big event. 8 hours of drinking and eating and shit talking. The season was 4 months of shit talking. The off season was filled with gloating by the champion. I miss those days.

2qb. That makes it where rolling with phillip Rivers the whole season isn’t as viable anymore. Okay okay..superflex so folks don’t absolutely need to roster 3 qbs all year.
FAAB to determine free agents. That way, every Wednesday morning is Christmas. You roll out of bed and see who got who and what they costed.
Auction instead snake draft. You want Kamara? $60 you say? Go ahead then. But good luck filling out the rest of your roster!
And yeah, trash talk doesn’t hurt.
Besides that, dudes are getting old. Football is less efficient than ever. With all of the throwing, games last long. And there’s at least 1 game on 3-4 days a week. It’s a lot.

Same story in my league. League started in 2002. We’re all turning 40 this year. Most have kids.
I’m the commish and I thought last year everyone was just going to let the league die. But guys wanted to keep it going. Even if there’s less effort these days, they still like it as a way to keep in touch.
